Thanks for the letter, it were well nice of yew to rite to me. You are wellcome to come to Sweetsong any time you liek, and I'd be intrested in listening to what your proposin in regards to working together. I'm happy to do that and resources and stuff is righ up our street, but we'd need to know more details.
As for my niece, I don't rightly see how you can inishiate someone without trying. That said thow, I hope you do follow throu on your word and teach her.
Why don't you come on the 40th. That gives you time to get sorted and stuff. If that's not a good date, come on another. We're here.

She has a bright red glow in her chest, situated directly under the mark of a heart (Daia mark) in the middle of a glowing silver dragon on her chest (Xiur). She's unnaturally warm to the touch

Delivered by hand: no later than the 6th.
Dear Council Member Morandi,
Thank you for your letter, and your kind words. I most certainly share your concern regarding Slag's Deep and the obvious and real threat it poses to our island. I will be in Almund on the 10th for a meeting with Natural Affairs, and will make my way from there with all haste to Almund. Since I will be flying, I should be there on the 12th, possibly even the 11th, depending on how quickly the meeting in Almund ends.
What skills I have I will bring to this endeavour. The experience I have may be useful. Thank you so much, Councillor, for raising this issue and acting on it. It is something which needs to be dealt with and all of Scalvoris should be grateful to you for this.
Received your note, and am preparing to accompany you to Slag's Deep. I would ask if it were possible to delay your departure until 14 or 15 Vhalar, as I may have another meeting close before that date that I hope to attend. If not, then I will see you in Egilrun on the 13th.
I will attempt to be at Slags Deep on the 13th to be of aid, but I may not be able to make that date due to attending a meeting I have already agreed to elsewhere on the island, a necessity owing to my role in the government. Assuming no issues with travel, I should be able to make to Slags Deep, as I do wish to offer my aid, but if I am unable to make it in time for your departure into the old prison, I wished for you to know why. I will, however, meet up with the exploration team inside Slags Deep should I arrive late, unless of your course, you finish before I arrive.
It appears that I should not assume that Spirits are aware of what I hope is obvious to Mortals and Mortalborn. What follows is the exact reasons I would prefer to avoid such an extreme action. The tribesman that is also Forged is Ralgar Warborn, and given that I told the Scaltoth team to seek his aid if they were able, it should not be a surprise that I consider him an ally. While this does not apply to the whole of even his own tribe, as he is not, to my knowledge, its leader, it does factor into matters. Moreover, while the tribes of Scaltoth have thus far declined citizenship under the Council's government, they are still part of the island of Scalvoris and thus entitled to a measure of protection from the government.
None of this, of course, touches on the nature of Scaltoth as landmark of the island or it's nature as a part of the spiritual pillars of the island, which are also both sufficient reasons to avoid such an reprehensible move. Especially given that the destruction of Scaltoth would likely lead to a domino effect that would destroy Sweetwine, Ishallr, and Faldrass, along with quite possibly what remains of the island after all of that. I assure you, I have not spent most of this government's lifespan preventing such destruction just to turn around and let some overzealous logger undo all that hard work.
Hopefully that reassures your Diri, but if it doesn't, then I'm afraid there's little more I can do on that front. As to your idea of a reunion of the Forged to encourage co-operation between the four branches of that group, I agree it sounds like a good idea. On the anniversary of the Forging sounds like a good time for such a reunion, since it would also serve to remind us of the importance of the four Induk's to the safety of the island. Albarech Kura Wolfsdotter of Scalvoris
P.S. In regards to choosing my words more carefully, I have a bad habit of falling into poor habits I picked up from my time in the Imperial government. Thank you for informing of my slip and I shall endeavor to avoid repeating it in the future.
Message arrives through the echo scrolls they have about two breaks after Balthazar receives his message.

Woe,
Thank you for reaching out. The damage to Almund has been severe and I am working to repair buildings each trial. As of now I have managed to work on The Merchant Guild and The Black Cat headquarters but I will take a trip to visit The Bones soon. If there is any damage to the building or to your friend, I will do what I can to remedy it. I am already negotiating with other members of my company about where we will work tomorrow, but I can promise to look into your friend on the fifth. I will write back to you again as soon as I know what condition they are in.
As for the attack itself, I will be attempting to coordinate with the Elements in Almund. As soon as defenses fired against the Candlestick Maker, strange entities began to burn Almund and the docks were invaded by figures wearing masks similar to those reported in the dock collapse a few arcs ago. I do not believe this is a coincidence. I know of a few individuals who might be able to work with me to explore the memories of the dead. If we do, and if we find anything helpful, I will be sure to relay it.
I will let you know if there is anything Egilrun can do to assist the relief efforts here. I can not offer Almund's aid with Egilrun's relief, but I do offer my own with your investigation. I have advantages that some others do not, though I am confident in your ability to weed out the truth. If all goes well, I will write to you again soon with more information.

Defiance: Skin always glows faintly and he is warm to the touch. His is also the center of a field of static electricity so people get shocked touching him on occasion. Rupturing: Orange etheric cracks spider-web up his arms to his elbows. His eyes and the glowing cracks going down his cheeks glow dark blue. Transmutation: He has a series of emerald, glowing cracks on his right pectoral.
Marks
Bellinos: His fingernails are always black. The color fades into his fingers. Celarion: A dim glowing ring surrounds his left forearm. Palenon: A silver lightning shaped mark about the size of a hand stretching up towards his torso.
Scars
Oops, Oops, Ouch: Balthazar Black has twenty scars across his back from a lashing as well as scars on his hands and arms from jagged rocks on Faldrass. There are two scars on the sides of his abdomen from being stabbed and a slash across his back which blends in with the whip scars.
Thank you for informing me. I will have a bounty put out on Fargis Cutler immediately. Please keep me informed of any significant information gained from the Pirates.

Dear Woe,
Thank you for writing. I'm well sorry to hear about doctor Augustine, I never met her but Arlo did an he said she was a very nice lady. We got rid of our three attackin pirate lords an I've been visitin the remainin pirates to try an get some information out of them. Bottom line is that they say that the attacks were organised and sorted as a big group but the Egilrun lot kept themselves to themselves. Not sure if that helps or means anything really.
I'll keep in touch with you. Sweetsong is fine, but I'm goin to go and help in other bits of Scalv if it needs it. I hope yore ok. Im sorry about your friend.
