So this question comes from a need to know the mechanics of magic in relation to Emeyan beings. Specifically the technique of Feed from Becoming. As I expect this character and perhaps others to come into conflict with Emeyan beings, and need to know some things about their make-up that are unclear from the text.
I bolded the part that is the most material to this question. Does an Emeyan being have any form of life force? Is it pure ether? In such a case, would feeding on an Emeyan being or even flaying one supposing one had the ability to, result in recovering energy, or overloading and overstepping? As such, if it causes overstepping, would a non-spark becomer not be able to accomplish such a feeding on a Emeyan? Does its life-force being ether then necessarily render this technique of Feed inoperable on an Emeyan or would ether itself be a valid source of power for that technique to siphon off?At Expert, Becomers have a specialized technique that resembles flaying known as Feed.
Requiring both an open wound that exposes the flesh and physical contact with the living creature, the Becomer focuses on the Second Sovereign substance of Lifeforce and forcibly draws it out of the wound. This can be used on creatures with or without souls. The Becomer can Feed on themselves, but the same risks apply. If the creature lacks the Second Sovereign Substance though, then it cannot be Fed on.
Does the form of the Emeyan make a difference? I.E. Does an Emeyan having a trait such as 'Extreme Biology' as in being made entirely of crystals or energy or what have you, throw a wrench into the whole necessarily having life-force issue?
