Nestled amidst the bustling corridors of Willow Tree Hospital, a beacon of inspiration awaits within its very core - the Magical Research Facility. Currently lead by one Winston Miller, this autonomous sanctuary is devoted to unraveling the mysteries of magic, science, and technology, all in service of the people of Idalos and the noble causes championed by the Hospital, Isonomia and the Order of the Adunih.

Upon the door is a sign that reads:

Please knock before entering

Within, lies a
laboratory of extraordinary quality
with equipment and furnishings designed for beings of all sizes, from delicate cadouri to towering humans.

To one side, the walls come alive with a tapestry of scrolls, books, and diagrams meticulously arranged on boards and surfaces, showcasing a captivating array of ongoing designs and experiments. At the heart of this wondrous space, a round table beckons, adorned with chairs
around it
and
upon it
that invite collaboration. Countless writing and illustrative tools lie within reach, fostering an atmosphere of boundless creativity and a small plaque graces the table, bearing the inscription:

"Thinking Table ~ There's no such thing as a stupid question"


In the center of the table is a cylindrical device, a
Holo-com
, with many buttons. This device can be used by those that have the means to communicate with the lab from afar.

Cabinets line most of the other walls, containing all manor of things, from simple beakers to complex
magnifiers
and
magical regents and scientific compounds
.

On the far side is a door that leads to a storage room, which contains most of the more dangerous items, inventions and magical elements, such as wells and valuable creations. This door, its individual contents and most of the cabinets around the laboratory in general have strong and high quality locks upon them to ensure they can (and usually are) well secured.

Within these walls, alchemical fires dance in a dedicated furnace ~ where transformation is wrought upon raw materials, a forge stands ready ~ a testament to the limitless potential of creation and amidst this ceaseless pursuit of discovery, a cozy corner awaits, equipped with all the necessary tools to craft a perfect cup of tea - a respite where weary minds find solace and sharpness is restored. Within these hallowed walls, no avenue of exploration is too grand, no experiment too audacious, from the delicate art of Smithing to the intricate craftsmanship of Wellcrafting, here, the limits of possibility dissolve beneath the weight of boundless imagination.

On most trials, the laboratory hums with a vibrant energy, as its occupants perpetually engage in purposeful endeavours for the betterment of the Hospital. Even in Winston's absence, the team persistently pursues their quests within this dynamic domain.

Winston can dependably be found
in the lab every 10th trial
and is often found there throughout the arc on other occasions.

No services are offered here, though the location is open for the use of PCs associated to the hospital if desired.

None of the equipment or resources in this location can be taken from this location without pre-approval from a City Mod.
