At 5' 7", Raven is an inch taller than his twin sister Linnet, and half a break younger, but they share the same stocky build and dark colouring. He also shares her love of making things, but his tastes run more to the large than the small and portable. While she was learning to work with wool, he was out in the fields, learning to lay hedges, clear ditches, and keep the farm buildings in good repair. He can cut down a tree with his axe, shape it into roof shingles, and use those shingles to mend a roof, or, if the rabbits are running particularly rampant around the farm, he can shape a young sapling into a trap to catch them, and is happy to do either.

He always knew his twin was going to leave some day, and while he personally would have been just as happy to stay on the farm and mend things, he's not willing to be separated from her long term. When she made up her mind to go to Rosebay, he followed.
