Thanks for your thoughts, and you do have a point. However when a spark is removed, sometimes a mage may have more than one domain magic to their name. THen I would have to track for each individual domain magic associated with the welll. Which it would be done for each spark well that is introduced into the game when someone psf's searching out for one.Winston wrote: ↑Sun Dec 17, 2023 10:59 am Good points.
RE: "Plus I don't wanna get too much into minutiae for which spark this or that spark well came from, you know?"
That makes sense, but the well already says this under the Offensive Power:
"If ether is channeled through it, can develop new mutations on existing mages or initiate non-mages into the specific domain that it was formed from. It is consumed in the process"
Meaning we already need to track the Domain a Spark Well is from/for already, whihc is what made me thing BOTH should either follow this rule or not.
We wouldn't be making up these things out of thin air, mind, but basing them off of actual instances of mages losing their sparks, known instances. These are not wells that would be transitory in that way.
As for the powering domain magics, I'm still not inclined to limit it to the domain magics that the mage in question possessed. It just makes sense to me that the domain magics of all stripes would be so strengthened by them. Still.
