Description: Stormdust is a transparent dust that gives off a myriad of colors when light passes through it. It is created around the areas where lightning strikes sand or stone, and is considered a mundane substance that most bottle and sell as a trinket.

Frequency: Uncommon

Special Properties: None

Price: 1 gn/oz, though it is most often sold in a small bottle priced at 5 cn. The bottle contains a very small quantity of stormdust, just enough to coat the bottom and allow for a shimmer.

Description: Bottled Lightning is a quartz-like stone. It is coloured clear with small amounts of red dotting the stone. The stone absorbs lightning and, after doing so, glows for a short period of time. Depending on the amount of lightning absorbed, the stone can glow with a soft warm light or a bright white light.

Rharne is known for its high-quality alcohol, and one would be hard-pressed to find a location in the city where there isn’t at least one bottle of liquor. Rharnians believe drinking should be a social activity and a way for people to connect with each other. Many a friendship or an alliance has been solidified over the pouring and sharing of drinks. There is no drinking age in Rharne, so children are raised from a young age to treat alcohol with respect and reverence (though most born-and-bred Rharnians have at least one story of getting accidentally wasted on liquor from their parents’ personal stash).

Rharnians who were born in the city tend to have a higher alcohol tolerance than the average mortal in other Idalosian cities. While Rharne does have its fair share of functioning alcoholics, Rharnians tend to view alcohol as a supplement to fun rather than the end-all-be-all. It is more commonly the visitors to Rharne who abuse alcohol and can’t hold their liquor.

It possesses a transparent, deep indigo color, bearing somewhat iridescent and mirror-like qualities that cause a glass of Starlight to reflect its surroundings in full color when placed in the correct light. The flavor of this beverage reflects the sweet delicate taste of the grapes used in its making along with flavors of plums and pears. With its bright, fruity flavor covering its rather high alcoholic content, Starlight Wine is made especially popular at parties and celebrations. Crandle

Name: Crandle

Product Type: Candle

Description: Cranberry-scented candles, called “crandles” by locals, have been sold in Rharne for generations. These thick pillar candles are 3 inches wide by 5 inches tall, and are made of a dark red wax combined with a cranberry fragrance.

The story goes that Ziell visited Ilaren during the first trial of Cylus several hundred arcs ago. He brought with him a heavy snow and a single cranberry candle. As the snow blanketed the ground outside of the Lightning Cathedral, Ilaren lit the candle and the two Immortals talked for breaks. It is said that despite the chill and the time that passed, no wax fell from the candle and Ilaren never once got cold. After Ziell left, the city experienced the most peaceful arc that Rharne has ever seen.

Nowadays, rumour has it that if a Rharnian buys a crandle and lights it at least once during each trial of Cylus, they will be gifted an arc of peace for their efforts. Crandles can be bought from the children who frequent the Pilgrim’s Ascent during the seasons of Zi’da, Cylus, and Ashan.

Product Type: Specialty Liquor

Description: A special chocolate liquor, and favorite of serious practitioners of martial arts. It contains notes of chocolate, rum, and is mixed in with a trace amount of paralytic toxin or venom, just enough to dull the feeling in the knuckles of one's extremities.

Said to be a favorite of many Biqaj brawlers in Rharne, and elsewhere. However, the drink is not advised in excess, or in combination with any other form of medicines or brews.

It's mildly addictive.

Special Properties: Dulls the pain of physical impact, specifically with regards to one's own knuckles hitting bone. It also acts as a anti-inflammatory agent, limiting the swelling of joints associated with physical impact and activity.

Rharnean
Volt-Wing Valance

Type: Flying Mount and Wing armor

Short Description Given the prodigious tradition of Rharnean military to employ Storm Roc and other flying mounts, it has given rise to the need for special protection for these animals, which includes mount armor specially fitted to protect the wings as well as the torso.

Rharnean volt-wing valance is most often employed on Storm Rocs, in order to harness and protect against the frequent lightning storms that occur in Rharne's skies. Developed in Volta, the secrets of how to enchant or alchemificate the metal so that it resists and absorbs lightning damage, is a closely guarded secret among the alchemists and the Lightning Knights themselves.

While ordinary torso armor is available to all flying mounts, Rharnean volt-wing valance is restricted for purely military use. It is not permitted for ordinary citizens to fit their mounts with the valance, unless they have special privileges (Councilors or other high officials of Rharne), or else special dispensation from the Lightning Knights themselves to equip the valance.

Occasionally there will be feather-shaped plates, or even blades hidden amidst the frame of the wing-limb, so that the wings may be used also as weapons. However, this requires greater training for a mere beast to execute. At least excellent training is required for a winged mount to perform these winged attacks.

Found The methods of creating this armor are only known to smiths in the employ of the Lightning Knights. It is a jealously guarded secret, how they manage to alchemificate lightning resistance into the metal valance. It is illegal for non-Lightning Knights to make use of this product/mounted armor. Consult a Rharne mod if you wish to acquire some of this armor, but beware of the risks if you are not affiliated with the Lightning Knights.

Properties
Property 1 ~ protects the wings of flying humanoids and also winged mounts, whichever it's made for.
Property 2 ~ Can turn wings into deadly weapons or else powerful bludgeons, depending on the configuration of the valance.

Side Effects
Side Effect 1 ~ Less agility and pick up on the air. It takes greater wing strength and training in order to attain fast take off.
Side Effect 2 ~ Flight speed and duration is limited with the heavier valance.

Status Illegal for all but licensed and trusted Rharnean Authorities.

Name: Guardian Flower Dew
Type of Submission: Luxury ingredient
Description: On its own, the dew gathered from a guardian flower has a mild sweet citrus like flavor. But when added to other ingredients, it takes on those flavors and enhances them, intensifying the flavors of the ingredients they are added to as well as adding a mild sweetness. It is especially good when used in desserts, drinks, syrups, and candies or as a flavoring for alcohol. But it can be added to just about anything if you are looking to add a bit of sweetness to a dish. In addition to intensifying flavors and adding sweetness to a dish, Guardian Flower Dew has a warming and relaxing quality. It can soothe minor stress in the people who consume it, making them feel warm, relaxed, and safe. A little can go a long way with this ingredient, so it is rare that more than 1-3 drops need to be added to any dish.

Due to the way this ingredient combines with others and takes on their flavors, it takes someone with expert cooking/brewing or higher to bring out its full potential, but anyone with competent level cooking/brewing or higher can use it.

Appearance: A mymic chick's feathers are short, white, and downy. The adult's body feathers are white. Their wings, tails, and crests are brightly colored. The adults' feathers have a shimmery sheen to them.
Rarity: Uncommon
RPG Properties
Property 1: the downy feathers from a chick can be used to create a potion that will give voices to those that do not have them, (mute, damaged voice, etc.) and alter existing voices (with no control over what their voice will sound like for the duration of the effects).
Property 2: the feathers of an adult mymic can be used to make a potion that will give the user the ability to mimic any voice and sound just as a mymic can.
Property 3: feathers gathered from molting birds are preferred because removing the feathers by force (from a living or dead bird) causes both the shelf life of the potion and the amount of time the effects last when the potion is used to be drastically reduced.
Side Effects: none
How To Use: to make alchemic potions
Status: Restricted due to the potential use for them in committing crimes. Healers can use them as needed and they can be used for entertainment during events held by taverns, theaters, and such.
Price These feathers become available at Tier 7, and if they are purchased outside of tier, they cost 1 WP per level below Tier 7 (for enough feathers to create 1 potion).

Short Description: Rion fur is a luxury item that is extremely soft. It also has color changing properties.

Rarity: Common in Rharne, rare outside of Rharne
RPG Properties
Property 1: To use this material, shed fur must be collected for use since if it is taken from a dead animal (whether the Rion was killed for its fur or died of natural causes) the color changing properties are lost.
Property 2: While the fur is attached to the Rion, it changes color based on the animal's mood. Once shed, it continues to change color, but it is random. When used to make something that comes into contact with the skin of the wearer, the fur will change color in response to their mood if they do not have a strong will. But if they do have a strong will (expert discipline or higher) they can control the color changing aspect, to take any color they wish; once they have chosen the desired color, it will stay that color until they want to change it again, or it can change randomly if they wish.
Property 3: If the fur is not touching the skin of the wearer, it will change color randomly.
Property 4: It has alchemical uses.

How To Use: The fur can be used to make various clothing, blankets, etc. or used decoratively in clothing, etc.
