Appearance A variety of colors, tending toward greens, blues, and purples. It has a veined appearance, from the stems within the flesh of the kelp leaf.
Rarity Common Everywhere
Properties Tough as hardened leather, yet as flexible as soft leather. This makes the material ideal for clothing, armor, and a vast array of other purposes. It needs to be treated with salt water every once in a while, in order to maintain its toughness.
Property 1 ~ Tough as hardened leather, but flexible as soft leather or cloth.
Property 2 ~ Requires regular washing with salt water, to maintain its durability.

Notes If it isn't treated with salt water regularly, and washed in it, it will lose its durability. If a season has passed where the material has not been immersed in salt water, it will begin to disintegrate. It requires only ordinary kelp to make this material, however the trade secret for fashioning Mer Leather is jealously guarded by mer, who take to immersing the kelp it in shallow lagoons as they change their tails to legs. Then, upon leaving it to dry in the sun, it will have achieved its desired toughness.

Hey Ink! I think this writeup looks pretty good, but I just wanted to clear something up. Are these details for the finished product, the textile, or the raw material to make the textile, since you labeled it as flora and used the raw materials template?

Also there's a typo in Property 1 with the word hardened
