Rules
1. Read the lore. The first thing we ask before you get started in Lhyrn is to read the lore. Taking the time to read the lore upfront will make your entire experience in Lhyrn more enjoyable, as it allows you to write believable and accurate settings for your character to interact with. There is also key information in the lore: IC laws, race relations, culture, and geographic setting being some of the most important items that come to mind. All lore can be found in the Lhyrn Lore forum.
2. If you have a question about Lhyrn, ask it on the Q&A thread. Please use this thread to ask any questions you may have about the city of Lhyrn and its populace. We encourage you to post here before PMing the staff so that other players can also see the answer. Character-specific approvals should be requested via Narrator Support and PMs, and broader site questions should be asked in the Questions & Answers forum.
3. Register in the Character Roster prior to making your first IC post. All characters must register in the seasonal roster posted in the main Lhyrn forum. This is to give staff an idea of who is writing in Lhyrn, as well as to provide players an opportunity to connect with one another and plot.
4. Be polite. Behind the screen, we are all real people with feelings. Please keep this in mind when asking questions and interacting with both players and staff. Be kind and treat others how they wish to be treated. Communicate with your thread partners if you're unsure about a reply or a plot point or whether something is okay to include in your thread. If someone tells you "no," please do not keep pushing. Be polite, be kind, and be thoughtful. Let's make Lhyrn a safe and welcoming community!
5. If you are requesting a moderated thread, please ensure your request includes:
a. Your proposed plotline.
b. Your end goal.
c. The why. Why does this plot need to be modded? Why would your character participate? Etc.
Doing the work upfront means you'll get better support from the moderator. It also gives them more time to focus on writing the story with you, rather than planning.
Thank you!
