Name: Chieja Ọludïbọ
Created By: Ti'niva

Location: This tree is found only within the Makubwa Lori and rarely at that. There are no exact locations of this type of tree currently known. If one is found then the finder is very lucky and some may even keep the locations secret.

Appearance: The older trees are incredibly fat with many of the branches spreading out wide from the trees. They take up a lot of space in the forest and often are shorter than other types of trees. The leaves are a dark green and elliptical.

Price: The wood is expensive due to its properties, colors, and rarity. This is further outlined here.

Other Information: These trees would most likely be protected by the Sev'ryn if there locations were known.

Name: Mulier Colletis
Developed By: Ailluin-Yelven

Found: Anywhere you might find plants really. Forests, sometimes grasslands or open areas by a river or lake.

Toxicity/Hazard: Not directly toxic by touch, but they have a rather high acidity in the bulbous pouch beneath the bodies that can be incredibly harmful to the body and will dissolve through skin in mere minutes.

Appearance: Mulier Colletis are giant flowered plant monsters that have a female humanoid form growing out from between the petals. The form varies and can look sweet and endearing to lure in unwary travelers, or vicious if needed. Despite having a seemingly humanoid form, it is entirely a plant and even if you cut the human form, it would not bleed blood. It is not a sentient creature, despite having a humanoid form it is all plant, and the reactions the human form has is just DNA programmed in order to lure in prey, like a plant that traps a bee or wasp to put pollen on it, or a pitcher plant that lures creatures in with its smell.

Properties: The acid could be bottled and mixed into a drink and if ingested, would start to dissolve the person’s insides. Note that this is an extremely painful process that the minute it touches their tongue would start to cause great pain, as such it is not a useful tactic for assassins unless trying to get information. Also note that it is incredibly difficult to kill the plant to attain the acid, as when not luring in prey, it hides within a bulb that is pretty resilient to most attacks and well, you’re not going to be in good shape if you just run up and whack it with a sword, let’s just leave it at that.

Other Information: A meat-eating plant, they lure in unsuspecting animals or travelers by seeming to be a girl in trouble being devoured by a plant. If you get too close or grab 'her' to help 'her' out, however, you will soon find yourself fighting for your life as 'she' wraps vines around you and tries to (and often succeeds at) pull you into the plant. Beneath 'her' body is basically a pitcher of acid used to digest whatever 'she' manages to pull in, and if you manage to take out one of these plants, you’ll often find a fair amount of useful things like horns and other hardened things not easily digested by the acid, as it was made mostly to digest flesh and muscle and sometimes bone (if they are hollow.)

Image
Name: Salt Bouy
Rarity: Common
Location: Ta'lengean Erọim

Information: There is bulbous feature of a certain type of kelp in southern waters that is a marker for both potential salvation or death. It is called the "Salt Buoy" because its primary feature is a natural filtration in its flesh that pulls the harmful salt from the surrounding water, leaving the bulb full of fresh water. A secondary benefit is that the flesh can then be dried and processed to extract these high levels of salt for its many beneficial uses. Both of these elements have been needed frequently on extended sea voyages and some diversions off course have been to obtain a "flotilla" of these marine plants.

The reason for possible danger is that some tribes of Mer have realized that humans frequently seek this item out while sailing the seas; and there have been a growing number of tales of traps, ambushes and poisonings related to this species of kelp. Now, of course, sailors have a knack for exaggeration, and many people in dire castaway situations hope for the best when sighting floating objects. But there was one reliably documented case of such a man paddling towards what he believed was a flotilla, only to find that it was human heads.
Image
Name: Syanan Okan
Developed by: Ti'niva
Rarity: Common
Location: The flower is found in the Makabwa Lori and grows high in the old trees. The main stem of the flower will wrap itself around the branches of a tree. The smaller stems of the flowers will grow and the heads will appear atop those stems.

Toxicity/Hazard: No real danger to animal and human life in unprocessed form.

Appearance: The Syanan Okan is a small flower which grows at the end of a stem around 4 inches in length from the main stem. With silky smooth, purple petals and black pistils in the center of the flower is quite beautiful although rather difficult to admire due to its location of growth and time of bloom. Yet a lucky few may attest to its beauty; however, the majority have never had the chance to see the flowers.

Properties: The unprocessed flower can cause a state of strong relaxation when ingested. Since the flower has very few unprocessed properties and effects, it is in no way dangerous in this form. The flower petals can be processed to make a strong hallucinogenic known as the 'itaja sọ besvon ma'aikata. This is roughly translated to common as "causer of waking dreams" or more directly as "maker of awake dreams."

Other Information: Translated to common as "night flower". The flower only blooms at night and in the late cold and early rebirth seasons. The flower is most commonly harvested in Cylus as the flower is in bloom more than any other time during the two season.
