This will be the go to place to ask questions, voice concerns, or whatever you have in regards to the new Shoppe. I will do my best to stay on top of, and answer all questions asked within, in a timely manner.

Please don’t hesitate to ask anything!

As a note: From the date of this posting, the Shoppe is still “under construction” so changes can/will happen. If anything major does change, we will grandfather in purchases to fall in line with whatever the new updates are.

Other note: If you find typos, please report them so that we can correct it. We’ve collectively gone over the list several times but I’m certain we’ve missed something. Thanks for all y’all’s help!

If I start with a bow, do I have to pay 5wp for the arrows? Or can my second weapon set be the arrows?

If you start with a bow, you can assume the bow comes with arrows that match the quality of the bow you have. In an unlimited capacity as it states in the shoppe. If you wish to have higher quality arrows, you may purchase those separately.

One thing I wanted to inquire about was the selection of ships. I've read and am trying to wrap my head around it, but Wilderness PC's whose Tier's stop at 5 can still purchase the higher tier ships? I guess the way I've thought of it is that if it's in a Tier higher than your own, you cannot afford whatever is higher in that tier, but if someone who's reached Tier 5 in whatever their skill is (Seafaring essentially); then they can still purchase vessels in higher tiers regardless so long as they save up the points?

I was wondering what had happened to the animal section. I do see the section for mounts, but there used to be one for animals as well. Things like cows, sheep, chickens, dogs, cats, etc. Or even horses that aren't meant to be used as mounts. Lei'lira needs large herds of horses as brood mares, as an example. Even bees.

Likewise, the section for farm buildings and equipment seems to be missing, too. Unless barns, kennels, and such fall under the building category now, and cost the same as a house?

I think you've missed the point slightly in terms of the Wealth Tiers for Seafaring / Wilderness PCs. From the wiki:

Wilderness PCs may earn Wealth Points the same as any other PC and complete Wealth Threads in the same way. When they reach a new Wealth Tier due to Skill increase, they are considered to be on the very bottom of that Tier. They can not increase their Wealth Tier via Wealth Points as a Wilderness PC until they reach Tier 5, but they can spend them.

Once a Wilderness or Seafaring PC has reached maximum Wealth Tier due to skill, their wage is maxed out. However, as they accrue Wealth Points, their Wealth Tier increases as does every other pc.

So, they continue to go up Tiers. Hope that helps.

Sorry, we should have made that clear - because it's taking us a while to get each section done, we've released without some sections - some areas you will see have "Coming Soon" next to them. We are still working on those!

The Property & Land section of the Shoppe is meant to emcompass all types of buildings and structures. We didn't make it clear enough, but the Tiered buildings (the premade ones up for sale in the Shoppe) can be used to any means-- as a business, as part of a farm, etc. We added a small blurb to hopefully make that more clear. It reads

While the Tier buildings below are written with a mind to housing, any of the pre-made Tier buildings can be used for other means, such as for businesses. The furnishings that come with a building do not necessarily have to be those which might furnish a house; the furnishings could very well be equipment needed for a business. So,

• A small room might be a large shed, a good-sized chicken coop, or an examination room for a doctor.
• An average room might be the reception to an office, a small cabin, or a small stables.
• A large room might be a small barn, a large stables, or a browsing room in a clothing shoppe.
• A huge room might be a gallery, a large barn, or a dojo.

We also added another blurb to the Purchasing Additional Rooms section of Property & Land. It reads

Please also note that you may use this section, Purchasing Additional Rooms, to create whole buildings, if you so wish.

So, you may use that section to purchase additional rooms to add onto a building-- or you may use it to create your own building, with rooms to your specifications. As seen in the Property & Land section, a building can be a singular room-- or it can be many.

So if we opted into a tier or were grandfathered in, can we now claim the equipment it says we can on the different parts of the store, upon reaching a tier? Without paying wp? Or do we need to pay wp for everything until we go up in tier? What if we wanted a armor/weapon that was of a special metal? That will always need wp, right?

That makes sense. I see them now, but didn't see them when I looked last night, so I thought what was there was the final product. -.-;;;

I would love to see a section for drugs/medicines, though. As a breeder, Lei'lira will be using Saikura a lot, for example. That used to cost 1 GN per dose, so I have no idea what it would translate to in wp.

And plants/seeds/etc. Like it costs 1 wp to seed 1/4 acre with common seeds (ex. corn), 2 for uncommon, etc. And I know it would be impossible to list every plant, but maybe something like a full grown tree costs 1 wp, and a sapling costs 1 wp for 10. For planting orchards. Same for herbs - a full grown common herb/rare/etc. costs x wp.

Yes, you can claim the items listed in your Wealth Tier in each section of the Shoppe. ^_^ Only additional items need to be purchased with WP.

If you wanted a set of armor or a weapon made of a special metal, you would need to pay WP to purchase it, correct. The cost of the item would be its original cost x the modifier for the metal = modified cost, rounded up to the nearest WP. Unless modified in this manner, all of the weapons and armor listed are made of simple iron, wood, and leather.
