His name is Nathaniel Dubois, and he has no intention of letting his arc of influence go to waste. While he was elected on his platform of creating more Rharnian holidays and festivals to drive trade and tourism, his ultimate goal is far less benign… |
| 12 | Brawler’s Discount | Open: All alcohol at the Bronze Boar is half-price for anyone who competes in the open fighter’s tournament on the second floor. The tournament entry fee is 5gn, with first prize being a 100gn coin purse. |
| 27 | Rynmere Rumours | News: Whispers of violence and turmoil within the Kingdom of Rynmere begin to flow into the local taverns from the merchants and bards who dock on the shores of Lake Lovalus. The Emissary branch of the Thunder Priestesses is gathered in the Lightning Cathedral to be briefed on the hard anti-mage line that Rharne’s northern neighbour has taken, and several priestesses are shipped off to gather more intelligence from Rynmere and the cities who find themselves affected by Rynmere’s stance – notably, Viden and Scalvoris. | 33 | Snake Oil Saleswoman | Open: A human woman from Ne’haer, who calls herself the “Witch of the West,” arrives in Rharne and sets up shop in the Earth Market. She has a wide array of colourful concoctions for sale which promise to cure almost any ailment – for a price. Those who are either desperate or curious enough to pay, however, find themselves facing the same ailment, paired with some rather unusual side effects, three trials later. | 48 | Aukari Scum | Open: The city is sent into an anti-Faldrun uproar when news is announced that an aukari spy has been caught in the Dust Quarter. The shouting crowd quickly morphs into a mob, and a number of businesses in the Earth Quarter are damaged as the violence escalates into the night. The Lightning Knights finally regain order in the early hours of the morning, after several unlucky citizens are sent to the Infirmary with serious injuries. |
| 54 | Rynmere Refugees | News: Two mages are seen practicing Defiance magic in the Earth Quarter. When asked for their proof of declaration, they are unable to provide it and are reported to the Lightning Knights by a concerned citizen. The mages are quickly detained for entering Rharne without declaring their magic. The city guard who brought them in says that they are refugees from Rynmere, and came with only the clothes on their back and a few coins in their pockets. |
| 62 | Murder in the Stormlands | News: A family is found dead on their farm in the Stormlands, and the Lightning Knights are sent to investigate. Any who have information about the alleged murder are urged to contact the Knights as soon as possible. | 70 | Mistral Mystery | Moderated: Adults and children have begun going missing within Mistral Wood, contrary to the peaceful nature of the forest. Bodies have yet to be found, and the paths within the forest have begun changing as if on a whim. The nearby villagers have become terrified of the forest and have elected to forbid any locals from entering it until the mystery is solved. |
| 89 | Bad Witch | News: The wild claims coming from the “Witch of the West,” along with the unusual side effects of her (mostly) ineffective concoctions attract the attention of the Thunder Priestess’ Healer branch. After an investigation, they deem her to be a fraud and report her to the Lightning Knights who promptly arrest her after she attempts to flee town. | 93 | Isle Vyrelle | Moderated: Small colorful orbs of light are seen floating on the surface of Lake Lovalus. These mysterious spheres of blue and purple radiance emanate from Isle Vyrelle, where a shining white doe has been spotted patrolling the shore near dusk. It appears that the creature is searching for something or someone... |
| 107 | Scalvoris Storyteller | Open: A skilled bard from Scalvoris is telling stories at The Flying Moon tavern this evening. Those who wish to hear her speak and sing should arrive early, as the tavern will be packed with curious Rharnians who want to hear more of this strange, faraway land. |
| 115-120 | Founder's Festival | Open: The Founder's Festival is set up within the Glass Quarter. Stalls and tables are set for a public banquet, and a feast is held day and night for five trials of Ashan to commemorate the Immortal Ilaren and the founding history of Rharne. The Festival is complete with speakers from various factions and businesses, busker performances, storytelling, and plenty of alcohol. Local taverns also hold a variety of fighting competitions throughout the city. |
