Re: Unidentified Flying Objects

Dan had worked with, for, and close to Lightning Knights quite a few times before, and something felt - off. The emblems that designated a Lightning Knight were not being worn properly. Now, it might be that they had put them on in a hurry. It might be that the emblems had been displaced on their rapid ride. But he also didn't like their tone. He'd become used, living in Rosebay, to being treated reasonably, and these, these were not reasonable.

Besides, the Knights knew (or should know) that Rosebay was a place full of people who used Sign rather than Common. If they were foolish enough not to pay attention to the briefing he was pretty sure that their higher ups should have given them (even if it was on the move), they could wait a moment to get a translation. If they were here to work with Rosebay's people, they would know to wait (or have their own translator). If they weren't - better to keep them out here if he could, where a wrong move might drop them in one of the pit traps.

Dan made a split second decision to trust his gut and stalled for time. He tipped his head back to look up at the rider addressing him, and rather than signal Agnes forward to translate, he rattled out one of his few phrases in Common. I only know Sign. He didn't move to get out of the rider's way, though he did brace himself to dodge as fast as he could if the fool lashed out.

Behind him, he heard Agnes' foot shift in the dirt and signed behind his own back, "Stay back. Something feels wrong." He didn't turn to see what response, if any, she gave.

Everyone has to eat

~~~ With Timur ~~~
Winston watched Timur and his people depart, letting out a slow breath. The encounter could have gone much worse.
Joe
materialized beside him with a concerned look.
"That was close. Too close."
"Yeh mun, bot too close es still only.a miss." Winston replied with a nod.
"We are just going to let them go?"
The ferret sighed sadly. "Me nat a knight. We cannat fight dem, we cun only make sure dem don't get de chance tuh do dis again far naw." With that in mind, Winston activated his
Holo-com
, connecting first with Genna to explain what happened, then to Vivian to detail the full situation with Timur and his true allegiance.
He hurried back toward the city center where smoke still rose into the sky. His fur was still mussed from the webbing incident, but that hardly mattered now. What mattered was helping where he could.
He found his crew was already helping in neutralizing the magical targeting with the webbing. Several guards were stuck but alive - far better than the alternative. "Gud work!" He called out to them as he scurried past, heading for where he saw people gathering around the injured.
"Winston! My gosh your OK! Thank the fates. Where's Timur?" They blurted out in relief and panic.
Raising a hand and smiling he reassured them and focused on the problems at hand. "Af carse. Wus dere any doubt?" He winked. "Timur es a lang stary, let get tings sarted 'ere first."
Pulling out his
Healing Beam
, Winston began treating those with burns and injuries. "'old still mun, me will fix yuh right op." The crystal device hummed as it sealed wounds and eased pain.
Between patients, he helped organize the cleanup efforts. As the panic was slowly subsiding as more help arrived, he may not have been able to give Timur what he wanted, but at least he could help make sure Rharne recovered from this latest crisis.
"Sometimes de best victory es jost keeping people safe." He mused to Joe as they worked into the night.
Appearance
When standing at his full height, Winston towers a full 1 foot and one blueberry tall. A fact he will happily demonstrate before flicking said blue orb into the air with his nose and then eating it with a snappy grin.
His eyes are dark and sharp, ringed by dark brown fur upon the bright white fur that sets off across the rest of his face.
Equipement
Winston usually carries the following on his person:
  • Cassion's Locket hangs snugly around his neck.
  • Winston's Fairy Bell hangs from his tool-belt attached to his hip. It's 'ringer' is often bound by a small piece of cloth to prevent it giving away his position while in the wilderness.
Re: Unidentified Flying Objects
Time to make a swift getaway!
Swish, slash, chop, cut!
Netzach watched in horror as his thralls were swiftly dispatched.
He had been right about her speed, his mind flicking to the last All-Tavern's tournament, where she'd moved incredibly fast. Fast enough to catch leaves falling from a tree before gently letting them rest upon her defeated opponent.
But this was entirely unexpected. Beyond her speed, he'd also underestimated her other abilities too. Flying into the air, scanning for the victim, then crashing down to save her. Incredible.
"Faldrun's balls, she's fast!" he exclaimed, whipping around to Tobias and the dangerous looking woman, feeling rather sheepish about his subpar performance.
With a mixture of thankfulness and fear, he saw that both of them had left, unbeknownst to him.
Thankful that they didn't see, or at least had left before commenting on, how quickly his thralls were dispatched.
Fearful, because... well, now he had to figure out a way to get out of here on his own.
"Sssard..." He muttered, grumbling under his breath. Couldn't Tobias have blipped him out of here too?
Drawing his cloak around himself tightly, making sure to hide his face, he stalked away, hoping to exit the battlefield, and all suspicion, before the dust cloud settled.
He'd want to make a swift exit, he told himself, heart pounding like a war-drum.
He'd want to get out of the glass quarter, and blend in with a crowd as he exited. Pretend to be just another hapless innocent caught in the midst of this magnificent battle.
When they wrote a book about this, he wondered how dashing he would look to the heroes, exiting the scene seamlessly as he entered, like a swashbuckling rogue.
Already he had forgotten how little he contributed to this whole story, his mind cooking up a narrative that put the spotlight on him.
How could he not?
After all, this was the most fun he'd had in ages.
OOC
Just a short one to close things off.
As written above, Netzach will try to make a swift exit, before anyone finds him in the battle-zone and questions him.
Thanks for the thread Pig!
Appearance
The following are a list of Appearance features. This tab is for shortening space, should the tabs get too big.
Attunement
Witchmark: 'Puzzle eyes', a set of striations in the eyes that all Attuners are marked with.
Necromancy
Witchmark: "Dead eyed". Netzach has a corpselike vacant stare. His pupils never seem to dialate, he no longer blinks nor needs to, although he can for the purposes of certain expressions, and his eyes seem to not have saccades, the tiny movements that keep the eyes jittering here and there, never fixing at one spot.
In addition, he sleeps with his eyes open, although his eyes are completely 'dead', not registering the outside world.
Re: Unidentified Flying Objects
I am a damsel
locked in her tower,
but I am my own capture.
No one else has the
strength to lock me away.
You though have the key
to free me from myself
Gennadiya found herself the center of communication hub which wasn’t that unusual for her. Bubbles had greeted her back and answered her question with a whisper. Though the precaution was little use as they already new the name. Genna took and squeezed Bubbles hand in response to the her self humors observation. “Well that could be a good sign.” Genna said back then turned back.
Genna found Tristan talking in her mind due to his dirri’s abilities. She kept her expression under control something that she had had practice doing for a long time. She thought back, hoping it would work, ‘Yes. While I wouldn’t say her first concern is the interest of Rharne specifically, she does seek to do good in the world at large.’ He could take that as he would or ask clarifying questions. Genna dealt with a lot of people who wanted to do good in general. The whole order was composed of people who wanted to do good, but she would necessarily have pulled the head of the Ne’hear order to negotiate for Scalvoris. And not because she didn’t trust them, but just because they didn’t know what they needed to know. Tristan a short moment later reached back out and asked about Vivian.
‘I am actually surprised by the lack of anyone showing up either. This can’t be good. I am sending my Dirri to reach out to hers. Moment.’ She reached out to Nayeli.
‘Can you find out what is taking Vivian.’ Nayeli trumpeted softly in reply and then disappeared to seek out there fellow warden.
Returning to her conversation with Tristan she said. ‘We are what Rharne has at this moment. I know that something involving wells was happening at the citadel which no one is sure if it is related or not. I wonder this some how related to that.’
She turned and listened as the Hyludin explained why they were interested in Kuvarakh. After their explanation she felt that there was sincerity in their questions, but Genna was aware that with this being an unknown race they might have different physical responses when lying. So in an effort to determine she used one of the gifts given to her by Ymiden and used her ability Eye Of The Beholder. Allowing her to understand the situations from there view points. She could sense that the speaker at least was sincere in wanting to find the dragon Kuvarakh and could sense the devotion to the dragon buried deep into the soul. The ability didn’t give her details, just basic motivations. As far as she could tell they didn’t have any bad intentions towards Rharne. She opened her eyes and looked at Bubbles and said to her. “I believe them that they are committed to Kuvarakh. I trust you to make your decision about weather you will help them.”
She looked over at Tristan and said. “Will your Dirri please translate back?” Assuming the answer was yes. She turned to the spokesman and used Daia’s Trusted Gaze on the spokesman. Her gaze taking on the appearance, to him, of the most trusted person in there lift. At the same time she also activated Ziell ability Calm Before the Storm. She wasn’t sure that violence was in the future but she wanted to avoid it. “Greetings. My name is Gennadiya. I am the head of a world wide healing group known as the Order of Adunih. Some of us in this room have some knowledge about Kuvarakh, and are willing to talk about that information, but please understand Kuvarakh isn’t the ruler in Rharne. Kuvarakh did visit the location you talked about but hasn’t taken up residence. The Immortal Ilaren governs in this city, and the Induk Lovalus protects these lands. Unfortunately at this time Ilaren is unable to meet with you, but I know that she and her government would love to arrange a time for your people, and our people to talk. We would love to know more about you, and would love to come to an understanding and open up trade. In that vein of good will I will tell you what I know, as I was there during the events when Kuvarakh awoke.” It had been a crazy trial and Genna had been drawn away and so while aware didn’t have direction contact with the shadow dragon. “Put in return we will need your people to pull back to your ships until arrangements can be made with the Rharne government for diplomatic contact.”
Genna paused to let them have a moment to discuss. While there was a pause Genna detected that Winston was trying to call her on the holo, and this really wasn’t the time to pause for a conversation so she silenced it and spoke in her mind back to Tristan. ‘I don’t know what the delay is but Winston who should be here is trying to call me. Lets get them moving out of Rharne territory and have a conversation when the actual government can be here.’ If they agreed to those conditions Genna would share with them the information she had.
“Kuvarakh awoke outside of Augiery. Weather or not he is still there I can’t answer to. Though I will warn you that Augiery isn’t a pleasant place, and I would approach with far more caution then you did Rharne.” Genna looked at Bubbles one more time to see if she would step in and help heard her brothern towards there master. Genna would continue to talk and answer any questions that didn’t involve Rharne security, promise nothing outside of what she as an individual, and head of the Order of Adunih could. Which getting a meeting with them in that position was something she would also push for.
Once she was able to she would return Winston’s call and return to the city. But she would stay there as a messenger trying to avoid conflict on this front as long as possible. In an effort to also make sure things ended peacefully she case Lazy Summer Trials, just to make sure her city was safe.
Re: Unidentified Flying Objects
121 Ashan 724
In some ways it felt good to walk the land as another person. He had created the lives behind the named bodies but only a few of his faces were really unique. He'd stolen most faces from those who suited him, or he'd at the least taken some of the traits from them and created simple replicas that could never match the level of detail he could really need to assume the identity of another.
Lyonel was not Revan. Lyonel carried Revan's cane like it was a theatrical instrument to extenuate his hand gestures and other movements while also accommodating his apparent age. The face and body were designed to look older. The cane should have made more sense under the hand of someone who looked the way that the Yludih's Lyonel looked... but Lyonel had his own flair.
That was important.
A sharp witness might notice that Revan and Lyonel had the same type of cane. It was a well crafted art piece with a blade hidden inside of it that did the job it was put inside the cane to do. An Immortal might notice it was not only the same type, but it was exactly the same cane. The difference between how Revan and Lyonel used the cane was entirely how the Yludih distinguished his faces. Revan had an injury. Revan limped and used the cane to walk. Lyonel looked old but felt young. He used it to walk and to exaggerate action when needed. Lyonel wanted to be seen sometimes and not to be seen other times. Lyonel was malleable. Lyonel was expendable... so... he was the perfect face to take risks with.
Because of that, Lyonel was the face that the Yludih wore into the barracks as he slipped through the chaos to take what an uncontrollable impulse compelled him to seek out. Willow would forgive him when he gave her whatever trinket the Yludih found that it thought was worth her forgiveness. Sometimes that was a high price but other times even the simplest things would fill the void. Revan had sent Willow away but Revan would have to be the face that explained the gift for her... yet the Yludih was not thinking that far ahead.It would only realize the dilemma in the trials that came later.
Petty as that dilemma would be, Willow was always vocal and always the one to question things. She almost made being a Yludih as difficult as Revan had expected it would be when his birther had abandoned him. The reality was that most people never looked twice. They saw what he looked like in the moment. A human who was doing something they judged him for. A biqaj who they felt needed to return to the seas. If he learned to become a hound, they'd probably only see a mutt who needed to rot or find a home. It was a deficit that begrudgingly gave opportunity to those who were so twisted as the Yludih was.
Expectation was the enemy.
So when Lyonel slipped past the security, he did exactly what he felt like everyone would expect him to do. He kept his eyes low and he kept his cane close to his body. The cane would imply sickness or an inability to be a savior like most would have wanted. The act of holding the cane up while moving would imply he was ashamed he couldn't do more. Lyonel wasn't ashamed. Lyonel was amused. The Eluded didn't let that show. He wasn't the best stage performer but he wasn't on a stage. His lie was his life. Lyonel being amused was easy for a single reason:
The Yludih was amused too.
Maybe the former face had chosen the wrong spot. Maybe the seer who knew that there was more mineral than skin behind the one they spoke too had disapproved... but no empire was built in a trial. The Yludih couldn't even knock over the city bank without seasons to prepare. A judgement in one moment meant nothing in the next as long as everyone had a role to fulfill. In their world, the important part was making sure you always had a role.
The Yludih would need to work to ensure that it was allowed to choose what role it would play... forever and whenever... but for the moment a room full of opportunity sat to be plundered.
Lyonel could not walk in the shadows literally. Lyonel, Revan, Grimwald, the Yludih, whatever name the living crystal was thought of by, none of them had the power to slip from shadow to shadow in a literal sense. Figuratively, the living crystal may as well have called the shadows Uleuda. The body could and did move without anyone seeing or calling attention to it. It found a militaristic stockpile of goods to take and it only had two hands to steal with.
Four, maybe three- but only if one counted the diri of shadows, Namira. Lyonel didn't count Namira. She couldn't carry things a long distance. Namira could make small adjustments and movements but the diri was no pack mule.
Using the window that chaos had created, Lyonel searched the barracks and took only the things that seemed worth his time.
To some extent, it made the Yludih regret becoming Lyonel. Lyonel couldn't rely on the help from Revan's friends. Revan had friend's like Willow. Willow... somehow she was beginning to become a figure worth wearing a single face for. Whether that feeling was based in sentiment or utility was unclear.
Willow would have been able to find better things to take in the room. It (Lyonel) was sure that Willow would have known better targets. Yet in the end, the risk was not worth the reward. Revan sent Willow away so Lyonel could risk going after what they both wanted. Lyonel could disappear if anything went wrong. Lyonel could just stop... existing.
The Yludih didn't... Revan didn't... the living crystal didn't want Willow to disappear.
Small things. Small feelings. Little impulses that drove deeper choices lead the Yludih to pick and pluck the treasures it did. The Yludih took things it thought wouldn't be seen. An arrow that caught its false eyes. A mirror to reflect the lie that it was... and a small kit with a sharp blade. Something humans used to groom themselves.
Ha!
To think of needing a blade to remove a bit of visual stimulation. When the living crystal wanted a change, it only needed to focus to make the change... but the kit drew the living crystal's attention. For one reason or another, it did. So Lyonel took it, and the Yludih was gone with his goods just as quickly as he had arrived to the chaos.
Actions
From the building, Lyonel takes:
- A unique looking arrow. Must be worth something but it's unique enough to take for someone with no appraisal.
- A metal mirror. All the Yludih knows is that it can see its reflection looking into the mirror.
- A shaving kit (Cosmetology)- complete with a razor, soaps, and other trinkets to fill out the kit.
Re: Unidentified Flying Objects
“And what are those interests?” Tristan calmly asked when the envoy told him that they wished to seek Kuvarakh out to serve his interests, and protect his interests if need be. Only time would tell if Kuvarakh’s interests would clash with Rharne’s interests – or the government’s interest which probably wasn’t always the same, but for the time being he would be optimistic.
Speaking of the government …
Beneath his calm and disciplined exterior, Tristan was getting more and more worried.
Since Gennadiya considered Bubbles to be trustworthy, Tristan decided to tell her what their visitors were saying. He would likely ask Gennadiya for more information on her later on, but for the time being, he decided to focus on the matter at hand. Their strange visitors.
And the lack of anyone showing up.
“That might very well be the case”, he replied telepathically when Gennadiya wondered if the thing with the wells that had been happening at the citadel was related to that. “I’ve studied wells. I sincerely hope that what happened at the citadel wasn’t just the beginning.”
He’d only taken beginner’s Ensorcelling lessons at the university, but that had been enough for him to realize that wells caused a lot of explosions and made powerful weapons.
“If people don’t show up soon, the two of us need to handle this as best we can”, he continued.
“Chester, my friend, your invaluable help is needed once more”, he said when Gennadiya asked him if the diri would translate back. A moment later, he positioned himself next to Gennadiya, arms folded in front of him, trying to represent Rharne as best he could. Gennadiya and he were all the city had at the moment, and he did his best to look like a leader, someone that the Hyludin could trust.
Since he had already introduced himself, he didn’t do so again, but once Gennadiya had finished, he remarked, “My diri and I will do what we can to help you talk to the Rharne government when a new meeting takes place and learn about Rharne itself. I also brought a professor of linguistics so that we will hopefully be able to talk to each other without a translator one trial”, he said and gestured towards the professor.
The Hyludin would likely be disappointed, but he hoped that that little promise would help … a tiny bit. No matter how good a translator was, it was never exactly like without one.
“That being said, let Gennadiya or me know if you have any questions, please”, he added politely.
“I think that’s a good idea”, he agreed when Gennadiya talked about getting the Hyludin to move out of Rharne territory. They wouldn’t be able to do more without seriously overstepping their boundaries. It was best to wait until the government could handle things.
Provided that the government wasn’t in trouble as well right now.
Why did things always have to be so complicated?!
Re: Unidentified Flying Objects
UFO
Dandelion:
The disguised horseman curled his lips at the response from Dandelion. "I only know sign." He hefted his lance, as his horse backed up slightly. The few other horsemen with him snickered at the saying.
"Wot. Sign?" The lead horseman snickered, "I gots a sign fer yer."
And with that, he was about to charge, bracing his legs against the flanks of his horse. But before he would've spurred his animal to charge, a half dozen hyludin dropped out of the sky, and took up positions beside Dandelion, wielding small arms, but by far better armed than the villagers in Rosebay besides Dandelion himself.
The horseman gave a huff, and a snarl, but then turned his horse around and rode the opposite direction. "This ain't over. We'll be back for our tax, little cornflower."
The dust kicked up behind them as they made their way off.
Dandelion was approached by the hyludin who'd backed him up. One of them was the one he'd hosted in Rosebay. He bowed lightly to the leader of Rosebay. "Thank!" He pantomimed. It wasn't common sign, but his intention was clear enough. He was grateful for the aid he'd given trials earlier, which led to his backing Dandelion up here.
Winston:
Winston managed to patch up the hurts of his team, and also helping anyone along the way toward the Sky Quarter. His presence in the streets helped quell panic, and the rest of his team was put to good use patching up the structural damage to some of the Glass and Earth Quarter.
The Sky Quarter was another matter, having suffered great damage to the Armory and Skywatch Keep. Meanwhile, Gennadiya, Vivian, and anyone around them would've been apprised of the situation if they decided to share.
The authorities were alerted as to the treachery of Timur, and he was exiled from the city, persona non grata. He is assumed to have acted without the consent of any foreign government, in spite of his claims, and thus relations between Rharne and Etzos are not affected negatively.
Netzach:
One of the skulls that Vivian beheaded flew off the shoulders of the thrall, and latched its teeth onto the hem of Netzach's jacket. There it'd remain, whether noticed or not by him, it didn't move but continued to bite down on the jacket.
Eventually, when he managed to escape the dangerous environs of the Sky Quarter, and he did, he'd find there was something magical about the thrall's head. He'd find it was a talisman of some sort, upon inspection. An ensorcelled if not welled remnants of a thrall.
But how could that be? Was it not arisen from a formerly living creature only bits before?
Gennadiya:
Nayeli checked on Vivian, and saw that she was deep in combat with the forces trying to cause disruption in the Sky Quarter. She was obviously winning, zipping across the battlefield like a lightning bolt and beheading thralls left and right.
Nayeli related this information to Gennadiya.
The hyludin envoys meanwhile listened to the healer describe her experience outside of Augiery, and how Kuvarakh had come to rise in that land, but had also visited Rharne once upon a time, specifically in the jail that their forces had temporarily occupied.
The hyludin looked to each other, and nodded. "Thank you for letting us know. It's fortunate you were here to relate this important information to us, and we will share it with our Cult."
Bubbles let Gennadiya take much of the forefront of the attention, as she wasn't exactly versed in Draconic herself, nor did she have any ability or trinket that let her understand the words being spoken. She was a talented Empath however, and could divine some context clues based on what emotions were rising to the surface. She could sense relief, and gratification from the Hyludin.
She reached out a hand and nodded at Gennadiya, "Thank you."
The Hyludin then turned their attentions to Tristan, who appeared to be poised to do the primary negotiations on Rharne's behalf, at least in so far as he was epowered to do so.
Revan/Lyonel/Crystal-Crusader:
Revan took his loot from the Armory, small things that nevertheless looked to his untrained eyes like they might pawn well, if not be an interesting trinket.
Later on, Willow may roll her eyes at some of the take, until the exact details of what the objects actually did and were came clear to her.
Eventually, she'd discover that the barber's kit was actually bearing the insginia of a famous actor, and passed to the ownership of a commander of the Lightning Knights. The arrow was a souvenir of one who'd gone to Yaralon, bearing a ribbon upon it. It's purpose was unclear, but it had obvious sentimental value to the person who'd kept it.
Finally, the mirror did appear to have something to it, but would need further tinkering to get to the bottom of it's useage. It appeared to be ensorcelled, but was triggered by audible command, the exact command which eluded them for now.
In any event, while sneaking about, he managed to extract himself from the Sky Quarter without incident or identification, to his knowledge.
Tristan:
"We've already worn out our welcome, I'm afraid." Said the hyludin envoy to Tristan, with a regretful expression. "We will remove our people from your lands, knowing now what we do."
"However, we would extend an invitation to you, and to any envoy who wishes to treat with the Cult of Kuvarakh in Iulure's Expeditionary Fleet." The hyludin smiled. "A summit of sorts, for those who wish to meet with the Hyludin, in the Hot Cycle after this next
one
."
Vinn Hallowswift interjected at that point, and smiled from the Hyludin to Tristan. "Until then, I'd like to accompany the fine people of this Cult back to their Expeditionary Fleet, to act as an envoy to Rharne, and learn their ways to better facilitate this meeting or summit."
"Then it's settled." Said the envoy hyludin, "At least his stay in our temporary home. We will depart with the professor, and you can speak to your government, if you want to have relations with our Kingdom."
This said, the next trial or so saw the Hyludin packing their troops out of the places they'd occupied, and boarding their ships. They made their way back to the Expeditionary Fleet with the vital intelligence they'd gathered today.
Meanwhile, Rharne was set to rebuild the damage done to it during these trials. Time would heal its wounds, or so one might hope.
Winston is so brave and strong. He took real risks here, and didn't let himself get bullied around even though at times he might've been in way over his head.
He did just the right things at just the right times, well played!
Loot
  • Has found an isolated location for dangerous experiments outside Rharne
  • Wellcrafted the Almighty Dark Start into an ingot ready for crafting. THis is still a crude magical item, that can be triggered to fire webbing to negate magics, but need further final crafting into it's final form before completely stable.
  • Key to Rharne: The Voice of Rharne later gives Winston the key to Rharne city for his heroism in an effort to hitch his political star to Winston's wagon.
    While the key itself doesn't do anything in itself, he'll find wearing it around his neck will get him greater respect in various sections of Rharne, and all will recognize him as someone who can be trusted.
    It will open doors for Winston, and he'll have special access to any political councils occurring in or on behalf of Rharne, should he wish to.
Losses
  • Winston has been exposed to a very focused well explosion from a Greater Obstimite. This has affected his ether reserves on a permanent basis preventing him from channeling the ether required to cast spells himself. As such, he has the capability of forming and enchanting magic items with spells associated with his skill in Domain Magics he has, and can even build his skill in them, but can never personally cast spells unless they are enchanted into alchemical or well-crafted items or wells. Still capable of channeling the trace amounts of ether needed to activate wells and survive as well as a non-mage might typically, it is only the additional energy required for spell casting that is limited.
Gennadiya Lyosha
Feedback
Gennadiya is such a calm and level-headed leader. She really stood out, and her experience outside of Augiery was vital in placating the Hyludin and opening up the possibility for positive relations between Iulure and Rharne and perhaps the rest of the world.
Good job!
  • The Princess Dragon: After the meeting with the hyludin, they hand her a book. Upon opening it, she sees a finely illuminated book with lots of drawings of everyday objects, labeled in draconic. Anyone who reads the book can raise their draconic language level by two. This book can only benefit one person, one time.
Netzach Embersoul
Feedback
Netzach really stepped out of his comfort zone here didn't he? But nothing ventured nothing gained I'd say.
He did well, and lucked out that Vivian never noticed/caught him at his business here. He could have easily been apprehended.
Good job!
Revan Blackhand
Feedback
And it marks him as a person of rising influence in Rharne, should he accept it.
Vivian Shiryu
Feedback
Vivian got her chance to shine in combat here, but is also showing herself to be a level-headed and decisive leader here. She of course was pivotal in driving out the interlopers from Sky Quarter.
Good job!
Rewards
Loot
  • Bone-chip whetstone: One of the bone shards that she cuts from the thralls ends up being a serviceable whetstone, oddly enough. She finds her sword sharpens when using it on it.
    In addition, upon the first stroke, the whetstone will expand the number of Shiryu kin by one and no more than one. Even upon future applications.
Seira Shiryu
Feedback
We can say many things about Seira, but she isn't a coward. She saw that the Sky Quarter needed help, and potentially also her mother and the people she knows in the Knights, and thought nothing of her own safety but rushed to help them.
Even if she ended up needing saving, that was a bit of admirable bravery. Good job!
