Ymiden Weather

1-5

The sun peaks out behind soft white fluffy clouds that look like they could be edible. Children point out shapes they see in the clouds as a cute and fun game in their free time. The trials are warm and refreshing and the nights have a slight chill to them but all seem to have a cheer in their step as hunt's go well during these days with little wind.

6-15

Many take these trials to work together to get food and water together for those in need. Especially with Saun on the way, people are trying their best to prepare for the harsh heat of Saun. Jerking meat and preparing all sorts of dried foods.

16-20

Winds pick up, clouds move fast across the sky and the suns and moons are blocked more often than not. Elder's who have been around for a long time seem to think that these winds will bring waters to the parched lands as the Saun harvest grows.

21-30

Rain! Rain! Go with style! Don't come again til next trial! All the kids call out in the paths and street's of Desnind as the cool substance falls from the skies. At first it starts as an endless drizzle until on the 30th brings clouds that seem more dangerous than before. Warnings of thunder can be heard in the distance and if one looks really closely they might see strings of lightening dancing up in the grey of the sky.

31-36

Harsh storms hit the lands making it tough even for Sev'ryn to get around, let alone their small counterparts the Tunawa. Lightening strikes tree's and the lands around Desnind, making for harsh conditions in and out of the forests. For those who wish to travel during these trials, no one is allowed to go anywhere alone. To many mishaps have happened during storms like this in arc's past. This Ymiden is more rainy than it has ever been in the past 50 arcs. Some farmer's Saun crop is drowned and cannot be salvaged during this time. Food is harder to get and the people must work together more than ever before to make sure everyone get's fed. During this time it is seen that more Tunawa can be seen around the city of Desnind.

37-40

It seems that there is momentary respite from the grey trials of the storm. Skies are graced with blue and fluffy white clouds, everything seems to gleam in the sun and throughout most of Desnind, it's people can see a double rainbow floating in the sky on the 37th. Hope for great event's to come in as people look forward to coming festivals.

41-65

During this time. Rains seem to never stop, no thunder or lightening now just endless rains that seem to go on forever. If there are pauses it's brief. Tunawa are now in the treeline in droves. Using handcrafted Sev'ryn cookware that can float as transportation on the ground in some area's. Tunawa's are seen in groups of 5-10, almost never alone during this time. It's easy to track prey during this time, but it's always easy to lose sight of your quarry. It's suggested to hunt with at least a group of 3 but never more than 6. Too big a crowd will draw too much attention, too small of one and death awaits.

66-68

Clouds clouds and more clouds. Though they aren't really all that grey and dreary anymore and they cast a bit of relief from the heat of the ever nearing Saun, they block out the suns and moon during these trials. Casting a dreary gloom before the big festival event.

69 Event Day!

For how rainy the past trials have been, this trial has the clearest of blue skies with a light breeze filling the air. Almost like Moseke and Ymiden themselves wanted to smile upon this trial and bring happiness to all!

70-79

These trials are hot and muggy. Fog settles in over most of Desnind at this time during the day and at night the fog seems to only thicken, making hunting hard for those with a lot of inexperience. It's so dangerous even that ships coming in from long journey's must pray that they don't run aground when they dock.

80 Major Event!

A disturbing sign rears its head before the end of Ymiden, just before the moons disappear for a whole 40 trial. Two of the three moons, Zilis and Telva, are not normally red. This night though. they appear almost blood red, for 2 breaks around midnight. Next to their sister moon Rahkrii which is normally the only red moon in the sky, it is a disconcerting sight and causes widespread panic across Desnind. Stories have been told of a trial like this once before, and that happened in the trials to come was nothing but chaos. There is a fear that once again, Saun will bring havoc to the people of Magani and Desnind.

81-83

The heat these trials bring bares forewarning of what is to come in Saun. Less and less of the moons are seen until the trial ticks over to Saun the 1st. People are doing all they can to help keep water from evaporating away completely. As it seems like all the rains from this season seem to have just dissipated into thin air. No signs of the bountiful water seem to be left as the dirt of the ground seems to start to harden and crack.
Saun Weather

1-7

The start of 40 trials without any moons are surprisingly more cool than expected as refreshing winds from the sea come in to grace all hard working folk. Sparse clouds float in the sky and the sun almost always is peaking from behind one. Many visitors to Desnind find themselves in or near the waters of the sea. Laughter can be heard around town.

8 Event day!

Strangely enough, out of nowhere come rains on the day of the Nàhb'àífinju culling. Hot and muggy rains that make moving around the woods silently almost impossible. Only those strong enough to withstand the heat go out this trial to hunt.

9-14

No sign of the rains remain after the 10th. Heat practically unbearable and many visitors gaining severe sunburns. The skies only seeing a few wisps of clouds and the night's are no relief either. Many people try to stay indoors and avoid hunting if possible. Many people are found collapsed in the streets due to heat stroke. Be careful if you wish to go out in these trials.

15-20

The heat seems to only get worse. The only respite seems to be the random drizzle's that happen occasionally throughout the trials. Light and quick drizzles that seem to only make the heat worse afterwards. People during these trials are at this point dying from the heat. Crops that haven't already been harvested are starting to die and wither.

21-22 Major Event!

Forest Fire! The extreme heat and what some people believe was dry lightening has started a huge forest fire. Many Tunawa loose their lives and Sev'ryn get sick as they choke on the smoke trying to save the forest together. Many work together but it's not until near the beginning of the 23rd that the fire get's put out.

23-26

As if a blessing from the Immortals or Moseke's own tears were falling from the sky. The land was awash with rain, officially putting out the fires that engulfed almost the entire eastern edges of forest around Desnind. Luckily the still rebuilding Magani wasn't harmed in the fires though parts of Desnind now also need to be rebuilt. Along with many farms that need resown.

27-33

The trials following the great tradgedy of the fire and rains are muggy and hot to the point of almost unbearable. But not as bad as earlier in the season. People are starting to crowd the streets more and more once again. A general feel of hope for the Vhalar harvest now things seem to have settled down with the weather.

34-40

There is a forgiving breeze during these trials as if to welcome the coming of Vhalar and the new color's that will show through out the season. People around Desnind are still having to be careful about water use though as the heat has been making it hard to keep water. Some places have even shut down until Vhalar comes to relieve them of the second sun.
Seasonal Events
Ymiden

Trial 1:
The first day of Ymiden brings with it the more stable warm weather, the ground becomes more firm and the air more dry. Still there are frequent bouts of rain that feed the growing forest, however, they are less frequent.

Trial 5:
The Forest has grown to its former glory after the winter seasons and is now teeming with life to be hunted by those well versed enough with surviving the wilderness of the Makubwa Lori.

Trial 20:
Rumour has it that a herd of Snäytu Kanna have been spotted deep in the forests to the West of the city. One hunter claims they even saw a pair fighting for the right to a mate, a spectacle like no other.

Trial 38:
The sound of something hauntingly beautiful fills the air this night, the people of Desnind are unsure what to make of it but the elders seem to recall the sounds from something long ago. Please PM Ent about this if you wish to do any research on the topic.

Trials 45-65:
Desnind is clearly preparing for a celebration, hunters are going out more regularly and bringing back more and more food. Those who have chosen to collect the fruits and nuts of the forest are heading out in droves coming back with full baskets.

Trial 68:
Phyt Cruces Shamsaldin from the Kẹjï Kisa has requested some help with transporting the wine and stall from the winery to Moseke's temple for the festival and has offered a free bottle to anyone willing to assist. Please PM Ent if you are interested in using this prompt and ask in the OOC if anyone wants to join you for doing so.

Trial 69:
Aìdá adugbo, "The Festival of Love", is an event that encompasses all of Desnind's residents in a day of harmony. Those who have lovers will often offer them tokens that confirm and reveal their intentions of remaining united for the rest of their life. Then there is the Tunawa who take this day to remember and rejoice in the memory of their first being, Aläïwä. Sign up for this event: Link to be added shortly.

Trial 77:
Desnind has been quiet for a while now as people come down from the festival and return to a more standard way of life, going about their jobs and enjoying the hot season as it burns on.

Trial 80:
The moons are all red! This is a bad sign in Desnind. Some of the older folks seem to speak about a time before where Saun was described as the worst Saun to date. The people stir with fear and seem purely unsettled. Please PM Eclipse if you would like to run a thread about this event! Solo or otherwise. All information about said event can be gained from her.

Trial 81:
The people had begun to forget about the past disappearances of previous seasons but this would not last as an elderly Sev'ryn woman has gone missing, noticed by her adult children to be gone it was quickly reported to the Oludïbọ Cïkäkkẹn. Please PM Ent if you wish to do some digging here on this.

Saun

1st Saun:
Saun arrives and people prepare for the heat, drinking troughs for animals are scattered throughout the city along with large barrels of water for people who might find themselves out in the sun without a drink. The Cikkaken are hoping to avoid any serious consequences for those who wish to attempt to keep on top of their work during this hot and difficult season.

Trial 8:
Multiple parties spread across the Makubwa Lori as requested by the Oludïbọ Cïkäkkẹn. A call was made for hunters of all capabilites to work together to cull the now gigantic herds of Nàhb'àífinju roaming around Makubwa Lori and the plains surrounding it as they have grown to numerous. Based on rumors and sightings there is well over 20 per pack of them and there are at least 6-10 packs of them, all spotted in different parts of the Makubwa Lori. The goal of this is to not kill the young, but to bring down the number of those that have had a chance to grow. Along with the fact that there has been a food shortage for a while their pelts go for good pricing even just within Desnind. Even with the high number of them currently roaming around, artisan's from around Idalos have come just to set eyes on the Nàhb'àífinju furs. Three Threads: The Culling - Team Ram, The Culling - Team Deer, and The Culling - Team Wolf

Trials 13-25:
The medical tents are overflowing with people that are sick from heat and a new disease that has flared up. It seems to only be the beginning of the troubles. Those with the new disease are kept in a separate tent from all others. Doctors not wanting to chance that it was spreadable. Though there were rumors that those that got sick went out too far from their normal hunting grounds and got too close to the diseased lands of Lisirra. Please PM Eclipse if you would like to run a thread about this event! Solo or otherwise. All information about said event can be gained from her.

Trials 21-22:
"FIRE! FIRE!" Someone screams. It's painfully obvious though, smoke rising, animals going crazy, running through the middle of Desnind when they'd normally go around it. Fear, panic and screams of pain. The people watch in horror as they see the eastern forest's burn. They try to do their best to push back and quell the blaze but all that can be done is attempt to keep it back. Fear strikes the heart of the people as much of the eastern side of town catches ablaze as well! The initial cause of the blaze is quite uncertain, but many say that they heard a crack like thunder earlier in the trial on the 21st. Please PM Eclipse if you wish to either do research on this topic or participate in trying to keep the fires at bay.

Trial 40:
The birth of a great creature is announced this trial, it's impossible to miss the cries of the mother Snäytu Kanna. People even feel like they feel the dirt shaking beneath them as some lucky explorer's are able to get just close enough to watch the spectacle from a safe distance! Please PM Eclipse if you would like to as questions about this event!
