Victor is of average height for a man of his race, standing at approximately six feet. He is toned and lightly tanned from spending a considerable amount of time outside. Victor has slender, long fingered hands that can wield a pen just as well as a sword. His hair is dark brown, bordering on black and usually kept short, and his eyes are a soft hazel color with flecks of silver, one of the consequences of his progressing in his chosen magic. Especially when he is on the road or conducts field research, he tends to aport a hint of stubble.

Victor’s style of dress tends to vary wildly and depends on where he is, who he is with and what he does. When he conducts field research or travels, he often wears comparatively practical clothes, but in the city he usually dresses elegantly and expensively as is befitting of a man of his station as he is well aware that most people judge you by your appearance. His voice is in the baritone range and fairly pleasant, and he can hold a tune well enough, but he is not good enough to sing professionally.

Since he became a Warlock of the Syns in Ashan 720, there is a shimmering tattoo on his neck, and his eyes glow softly due to the Gleam Sight. Furthermore, he has glimmering cracks on his arms, his Transmutation witchmark, and feather-like marking on the back of said arms, the mark of Delroth. Finally, he has a golden embla, taking the shape of intricate geometric patterns, on his right temple.

As of now, he does not have any scars.



Victor has an active mind. He does enjoy the luxuries that his upbringing as a member of Lysoria's ruling family affords him, but he cannot stand prolonged idleness. Despite the fact that he is something of a scholar, he does not usually spend his trials in a library, surrounded by dusty tomes. He prefers to conduct his research in the field and is more interested in results than mere theories and guesswork.

The scion of House Amielle has a pragmatical and practical attitude towards all things in life. He does not usually concern himself with moral issues and ethical dilemmas, although he operates within the limits of the law most of the time. He is self-confident and slightly narcissistic and possesses a certain sense of entitlement, but not to the extent that it hinders him in his daily life.

Victor enjoys getting into a fight as much as he enjoys his scholarly ventures. Once upon a time, he used to be largely careless when it came to magic, but he tends to be more cautious nowadays.

Transmutation: The Ambitious Explorer

Victor’s spark wants to explore the world. It is an adventurous and ambitious spark. It isn’t content with an existence in obscurity, but wants its accomplishments to be noticed, it wants to rise above, and it seeks to strengthen its host so that he will be better suited to life outside the safety of the fortress of Lysoria where he grew up. It wants to see more and experience more, and it will not stop until it has reshaped its host into something that will help it accomplish these goals.

Curious glimmering cracks have begun to appear on Victor’s arms and his shoulders and are threatening to creep up his neck. A casual observer might mistake them for somewhat unusual tattoos, but closer inspection will reveal that they are different from the rest of Victor’s skin. They are always a hint cooler to the touch than the rest of his body.
Competent Awakening: Low-light Vision
Victor’s previously hazel eyes seem to contain a hint of silver and glow with a faint silver light now. He has developed a form of low-light vision and can find his way in the darkness without the help of a lantern now, but he can only see his surroundings in black and white then. His eyes have become more sensitive though. He tends to be in some pain when he rapidly moves from a dark place to a light place, and it will take him a while to adjust.
Expert Awakening: Quality Synaesthesia
Victor's spark continues to grow within him, changing his senses and mind to better align with its ideal understanding. This mutation forces a remarkable change in the Transmuter, forcing him to perceive transmutation qualities in strange and unexpected ways. Victor may be able to 'smell' heat or 'taste' the rigidity of metal. These sensations come in contrast to the way he is accustomed to understanding the sensations. This mutation does not allow him to forgo the necessity of 'experiencing' these qualities in order to make use of them (He cannot 'smell' the sharpness of a blade and memorize the quality, he would still need to be cut) but Victor now has begun to perceive the world as a Transmutation spark might.

This mutation is purely creative and up to the writer to determine the combination of sense mix-ups, but should likely memorize common ones as knowledges, under Mutation: (Insert specific synesthesia combination here). This mutation can be disorienting and confusing, forcing Victor to interact with the world in different ways, but it can also be wondrous and advance his understanding of both his magic and his relationship to it as he changes.
Master Awakening: Opalescence
Victor’s Transmutation spark wants to be known, it wants to leave its mark, and it doesn’t want to be mistaken for anyone else. As a consequence of this mutation, the quality of Victor’s ether that has already taken on a mesmerizing opalescent shade upon his reaching Competency in Transmutation has changed. All of his spells, be they ether missiles or orbs of light, for example, have that unique appearance now, and even objects seem to possess an opalescent shimmer for a few moments after he transmutes them. Additionally, Victor’s spells leave some sort of afterimage now, a mist-like impression of the real thing that lingers for a while before it begins to fade. Ether visibly dusts on Victor now whenever he uses his magic. Opalescent dust gathers on his hands and lingers for approximately a trial before he can remove it again.
Master Awakening: Ether Ropes
His second Master Awakening changed Victor in a new and unique way. On its own, the Awakening looks like a pair of matching and intricate tattoos that are located on the undersides of his forearms, near his wrists. There is obviously something supernatural, something magical about them. Their color never seems to be quite the same, and they seem to glimmer slightly. Furthermore, his skin feels different, a hint smoother, where the tattoos are.

When Victor channels ether into the tattoos, twin ropes of ether sprout forth from them. Their length depends on the amount of ether that Victor decides to expend. The ropes are sticky and strong enough to support Victor’s weight, and they can be used to climb up and down more easily or even make it easier for Victor to maintain his balance on shaky ground.

If Victor voluntarily retracts the ether ropes all the way, a modest amount of ether is returned to him, and he can summon them again relatively quickly. If the ether ropes are severed or crushed by an external force and snap and subsequently retract, it will take him longer to recover though. If he decides to use the ether ropes again immediately regardless, he may risk overstepping.

Over the course of time, the more often Victor uses the ether ropes, the tattoos on his arms will become bigger and more noticeable as his spark wishes its presence to become known.


Marks

Abilities

Feathered Friend: Immediately granted when blessed by Delroth, Feathered Friend takes the form of a bird companion that is tied mentally and emotionally to the Tarouz. At this level, the bird may be of any species of a Medium size, which is roughly 9-16 inches tall. The bird need not eat or sleep, but will often to mimic other birds to avoid suspicion. At this level, the Tarouz can communicate with the bird familiar through flashes of mental and emotional signals, which each interprets flawlessly. The bird can be used to scout, to offer a distraction in combat, or at this level, is mostly used for companionship.

Wings of Steel: By using this ability, the Tarouz can grow organic steel feathers all along his or her arms, allowing them both a weapon and armor at a moment's notice. The feathers are as durable as steel, and offer resistance to piercing and bludgeoning damage. They are also razor sharp, though at this level, they must be wielded as melee weapons, as they can't be thrown from the Tarouz. The biggest drawback is that the feathers each weigh a moderate amount, slowing the Tarouz considerably unless well practiced with the ability.

The Charismatics Toolbox: The Tarouz may add 3 skill points to any of the following skills: Appraisal, Cosmetology, Falconry, Flying, Persuasion or Seduction. These points may be used to surpass the 100 skill points of the skill chosen.

Appearance: Ingrid is a pretty young Melrathi woman with pale skin, bright blue eyes and long, dark blonde hair that she usually wears in a thick braid and decorates with ribbons. Delicate gold leaf designs, her Embla, adorn her face. She prefers to wear colourful clothes made of a multitude of different fabrics, but will occasionally don rougher leathers and furs when she is outside in the wilderness.
Personality: Ingrid is an outgoing, optimistic woman that loves to sing and dance and that enjoys life to the fullest – and wants others to do the same. She doesn’t share the views that so many Melrathi have about outlanders, but is curious about them instead (although she doesn’t trust the Immortals very much). Recently, she’s been dreaming of joining the Ragnari, just like some of her friends.

Mantle of the ? Spirit

You gain the ability to assume the illusionary spirit form granted to them in the thread for 2 hours, twice a season. While it does not actually make them spirits or give them spiritual abilities, it is likely that those they meet while in these forms will assume that they are a spirit until given a reason to think otherwise.

The Sprit of Falsehood smiles upon you. Once per season when your character says a single sentence that is not the full, honest truth, this ability can be activated. Magical abilities (of expert /Adored or lower) that are usually capable of detecting if the sentence was true or not are either negated or are tricked into informing their owner that the sentence was truthful, at the favoured's discretion.

Puppet's Revenge

For an arc following the events of The Mountain King Victor will find that, at random intervals, he will encounter a small, inert jester puppet. Sometimes when he walks into a room its just there, facing towards him. Sometimes when he's walking down the street he'll see it inside the window of a nearby house. Nobody knows who owns it or how it ever gets there, but it never does anything. It just... watches him... As if waiting for something. please feel free to make this 2 arcs, so that you can play it!
