The eastern settlement was recently opened for writing and after reading over the information post and I had some questions on it. There is a lot of information on the four provinces but nothing about the areas outside of it.
Apart from the four provinces that Rynmere has already claimed, what can be found in the eastern region?
Has anyone ever been outside of those provinces and lived to tell the tale?
Are there tribes living outside of the borders?
Are there many monsters because there are no people there?
Is it considered a wealthy area or a barren one?
What are the climate, the flora and fauna like? Somehow, the northern part of the region gives off a permafrost tundra vibe to me, but I could be wrong.
Is there a big difference between the northern part of the region and the more southern areas?
I'm curious because it seems like a good place to explore if it's a wild land, maybe find a place to colonize and add to the rynmere provinces. I'm just looking for any information my character might have or be able to get before starting an expedition.

[Rynmere] Q&A Thread
By requesting a moderated thread. That metal is worth a lot of coin. Jacadon is very much end game material in Rynmere, only the top level skyriders get to chance to bond with one, etc. Also, most Jacadon choose to die in Raptor's Rest which is too high and either too hot or cold for humans to get near most of the time. So unless you plan to kill a Jacadon or pay for the metal from said smugglers, it's unlikely you will get your hands on it. That being said, I have a planned plot for the new year (start of feb), for all those who want to explore the labyrinth, and there will be old stone Jacadon there.Aeon wrote:I think you guys might question my sanity after I ask this, but how does one decent citizen go about obtaining smuggled Jacadon heart metal? Keep in my that this decent citizen has had interaction with smugglers that have dealt with Jacadon hearts in the past. Thank you in advance.

Eastern Settlement questions
1. A lot of snow and ice (north), mountains, and very dense woodlands.Sintih wrote:The eastern settlement was recently opened for writing and after reading over the information post and I had some questions on it. 2. Of course, it's just wildlands with a few old tribes and such, or anything else we consider developing. Viden, Rharne, and Rynmere all have their eye on pieces of it, so we try to collaborate. More information will be released as I find the time to sit down and put it together.
3. Yes, known only as the eastern tribes, they feature in some old Rynmere stories and even a war (posted to Iron Hand page). I kind of based them on Vikings and old Greek stories, cos why not?
4. Many, many wonderful and terrifying monsters. Again, development. Feel free to present ideas.
5. Further north is quite barren due to weather conditions, but everywhere else is dense woodlands, so very rich in resources.
6. The closer you get to Viden, the colder it gets, and that northern mountain range I would say is uninhabitable. Think animals and plants that can survive in those extreme conditions for parts of the year, deer, bison, etc.
7. Yes, climate in the middle is a lot like Rynmere, sometimes mild, but more often than not colder because of the zone it falls under on the map.

[Rynmere] Q&A Thread
So I read in the Ryn lore about how magic is allowed in public if you are a "Magic Knight". Does this mean a knight that knows magic, or is there more to it than that? If it's the former, can a skyrider be viable and do they still have to pay the 100gn a month or will the military pay it for them?

I'm thinking of creating a new location, sort of. It would be an addendum to both the library and the university for scholars, researchers and writers specifically. Should I put this in the Development thread as a new location despite it being inside two others? Or would it become a new location no matter where it is?

All magic in Rynmere lore is outdated and won't be updated until every single magic has been released. There are currently no Mage knights.Kylar wrote:So I read in the Ryn lore about how magic is allowed in public if you are a "Magic Knight". Still too much unreleased development to specify, but the walls are quite high. Outside of Andaris, surrounding Burhan, the wall of the seven kings is also pretty impressive. Like if you fell off of them, you're defiantly going splat.Sintih wrote:I'm thinking of creating a new location, sort of.
