Job Description:

The Devout’s job encompasses:

• Taking care of Scalvoris’ religious needs
• Raising awareness of and honoring Scalvoris’ religious traditions
• Dealing with the various religious factions in Scalvoris, and beyond, if necessary
• Dealing with Immortals and other beings that are being worshipped
• Negotiating with Immortals and mortals
• Leading religious ceremonies and holidays
• Establishing new religious ceremonies and holidays, if necessary
• Educating people on matters of religion
• Researching Immortals, Originals and other beings that are being worshipped
• Other matters of religion

Objectives:

• Asking the common citizens of Scalvoris what they think of shrines for the dead Immortals.
• Continuing to research Fei, the other Originals, the Shattering and Pyk. (Long-term objective that is part of a plot that may lead to the resurrection of Fei, a task given to Doran by Xiur.)

Doran started to research Fei in order to hopefully figure out how to resurrect her. He also brought up the idea of shrines for the dead Immortals as well as a memorial service for them during the council meeting on the 1st of Ymiden.
