1st Vhalar: “Red Dawn” News
Giant creatures made of flame have been spotted again following the expedition into the Stormwastes last season. The Lightning Knights of Storm’s Edge are attempting to deal with the threat but have had difficulties successfully fighting off these massive fiery beasts. Many take on the shape of snakes and scorpions. These creatures are often only seen in the distance, so contact with them has been rare but violent.
6th Vhalar: “Drink Up!” -News News
There is a sponsored drinking contest at the Turning Wheel Inn. Contestants are provided free drinks for that night, but only if they win their match. Matches are held in pairs of two. Food is provided and even a couple friendly brawls break out.
9th Vhalar:”Ghost Hunters” Event
At nightfall misty figures that appear to be human have appeared in remote locations across the Stormlands. These ‘ghosts’ seem to be attempting to communicate, although no sound comes from their mouths when they attempt to speak. They also seem bound to the small area where they have appeared, and are unable to walk more than ten feet from their point of origin. It’s as if they are trapped there and are unable to move freely. By morning they have vanished, leaving no clues about their origins behind.
10 Vhalar:"Sickness of the Dust" News
Residents of the Dust Quarter have begun falling ill in droves. A terrible wasting sickness has begun to plague their numbers, causing extreme weight loss, fatigue and other symptoms. People are withering away but no one else in Rharne seems to really care what happens to the dredges of society. (PM Faith if you are interested in this.)
16th Vhalar: “Trouble in Rynmere?” News
Rumors are flying about that there is trouble brewing in Rynmere. Patrons of local bars and breweries are suspicious of their neighboring nation and what it could mean for Rharne. Is war on the horizon or are the rumors nothing but hogwash?
20th Vhalar: “Lightning Thieves” -Open Event *Pm if you want plot notes
Pirates have begun making attempts to slip into Volta under the cover of darkness with light rowboats to steal whatever they can find. They seem intent on stealing casks of wine along with anything else they can get their hands on. These thieves are crafty and seem familiar with the electric phenomena surrounding the town. The pirates are armed with clubs and wooden shivs.
28th Vhalar: -"The Wrath of the People" Open Event
Enraged and upset by the attack on Azurewind Market in Ymiden and the government’s inability to locate the perpetrators, there is a riot outside the Lightning Cathedral early that morning. Many people wonder why Ilaren will not make an appearance. Rumors begin to fly that she has left the city for the time being.
30th Vhalar:”The Vanishing Men”News
Young men have started going missing late at night after going out for drinks at the Harlot and Hound. Many assume that they simply decided not to go home to their wives and mothers and brush off the occurrence as nothing unusual.
33rd Vhalar:"No Cure" News
The illness creeping through the Dust Quarter continues to ravage the population and so far the Order of Adunih has not managed to find a cure. Time is running out as the deaths begin to increase. (PM Faith if you are interested in this)
45th - 52nd Vhalar:”Annual Beer Festival”News
The Annual Beer Festival spans 7 trials, during which all citizens (with the exception of those who work in the service industry) are excused from work. During the day, the streets in the Earth Quarter and the Glass Quarter are lined with booths of brewers sampling and selling locally brewed beers as well as merchants from all over Idalos peddling their wares. During the evening, taverns across Rharne are filled with revelers.

In total six men have now vanished after visiting the Harlot and Hound late at night. After several trials of silence the bodies of the men have washed up on the shores of Lake Lovalus. Many suspect that this is the the work of a serial killer known locally as the Widow. She struck before some ten arcs ago before vanishing into obscurity. It seems that she has returned to begin killing again.

The strange and frightening flora known as Marauders are seen frantically stampeding throughout the Ywyngyll Forest. Something is wrong and the forest is sending it’s defenders into a panic. Locals witnesses in Cavevalle Town pass on the word that something foul is going on within the neighboring woods. The town start putting together a scouting party to investigate while also requesting aid from the Lightning Knights. Some of the local children speak of a flaming deer roaming the forest as the source of the chaos.

]It has been announced that Rharne had entered into a defence pact with Scalvoris, Viden and the Eternal Empire. People are getting nervous that a war with Rynmere could be on the horizon. A pair of well dressed men are seen frequenting the Copper Prince at night and speaking in hushed whispers with a man allegedly with connections to the Shadow Quarter. Gold is being exchanged and people are nervous that spies from Rynmere have infiltrated Rharne. The Thunder Priestesses are called in to investigate.

There are stories of monsters made of flame emerging from the Stormwastes and attempting to cross the Zynyx River. Stormland locals that spy them across the water start calling these creatures ‘Flameborn’. Some are claimed to be over twenty feet tall fiery cobras and scorpions. However the River manages to keep them back for the time being.
94th Vhalar: "Harpy Inn Celebration "Open Event*Pm if you want plot notes.
]The Harpy Inn hosts a night of drinking games and a brawling tournaments. Patrons are asked to share stories and play music. Those that do so will be rewarded with a free drink and a meal. A pair of beautiful blonde Thunder Priestesses eventually arrive to share drinks from their bottomless wineskins. The night is full of inebriation and merriment.

A new faction is announced by the Thunder Priestesses of Rharne. They are to be contending with the Flameborn that are beginning to threaten the southern borders of the Stormlands.
110th of Vhlar:"Red Wine Ball" Open Event
The Rosmerta Winery is hosting a public ball on their grounds. There is complimentary house wine along with light finger foods being served. Guests are expected to dress in formal attire. Any individuals that refuse to do so will be escorted from the grounds. The lobby has been transformed in a ballroom and the surrounding gardens and vineyards have been decorated with bright colorful paper lanterns. Strelza Rosmerta is also going to be hosting a fashion show of all the attendees that wish to participate in the back garden.

The ghostly apparitions that appeared earlier in the season have reappeared near the entrance of Westwind Ruins. What exactly do they want? It's up to you to investigate.

Zi'da Event Calendar




1st Zi'da: "Ringbearer" News
People haven't forgotten the Ymiden attacks perpetrated by the Ring of Fire and there are whispers emerging of the group returning once again. A red headed woman is seen in the Earth Quarter Market stealing jewelry from a local stall. People attribute the theft to the infamous group.
10th Zi'da:"Taken in the Night" News
The Rharne Branch of the Order of the Adunih has been attacked in the night and ransacked. Medicine and supplies have been stolen leaving the outpost sorely in need of medical supplies for the next few trials. Whoever is the culprit entered quietly and took what they wanted without any concern for the patients that might need the medicine.
13th Zi'da:"The Lights Return to the Water" Open Event
Last seen in Ashan, the colorful orbs surrounding Isle Vyrelle return to the lake however they seem to bear no ill intent and are perfectly harmless. Not only are the lovely colorful orbs of light present all across the lake, but the water is swimming with ribbons of multicolored light. Some suggest that it has something to do with the spirits inhabiting Lake Lovalus's domain. Those that interact with the lights will find that the color temporarily transfers to their skin before slowly dissipating over the next break. Citizens of Rharne spend the night lighting campfires along the water's edge, and bundeling up with blankets to watch the phenomenon.
22nd Zi'da:"Taste Testing" Open Event
A man from Volta comes to the city of Rharne to peddle of wares. He carries with him several varieties of wine that have been imbued with strangle and startling properties. He is handing out samples to any that pass by his cart in the Earth Market. Locals are both delighted and horrified when they realize that the wine can do anything from change your hair color for a trial to leaving your feeling strangling tingly all over. The effects are varied but never harmful. The peddler leaves the following morning.
35th Zi'da: "Thunder in the Dome" Open Event
A melee and unarmed combat tournament dedicated to Ilaren is held at the Lightning Dome. Many believe that competing in the tournament is an important way to honor the Immortal. The event lasts the full day and is open to any resident or visitor who can pay the 5gn fee to compete. You can competed in a total of three matches. (1st Match (Competent Unarmed Opponent, 2nd Match (Expert Unarmed Opponent), 3rd (Master Unarmed Opponent) The winner is awarded a 100gn purse for each match won, along with bragging rights for the remainder of the season if they make it through the final match.
48th Zi'da:"Lightning Strikes" Open Event *PM for plot notes
The Spire is known for attracting lightning Strikes during storms but of late the top of the tower has been alight with lightning strikes even beneath calm skies. It also seems that many of the strange artifacts within the building have begin to wake up, emitting sparks of energy that glowing with a soft radiance. Local scholars are worried that the energy coursing through the walls of the tower could possibly destroy it. Something is going on and it's up to you to find out.

The first trial of Rharne's annual 12 Trials of Zi'da holiday (Dust theme).
53rd Zi'da:
The fourth trial of Rharne's annual 12 Trials of Zi'da holiday (Earth theme). Not ones to be outdone, the residents of the Earth Quarter crowd the local taverns after hearing about the Dust Quarter's impromptu party on the 50th of Zi'da.
57th Zi'da:
The eighth trial of Rharne's annual 12 Trials of Zi'da holiday (Future theme).
61st Zi'da:
The last trial of Rharne's annual 12 Trials of Zi'da holiday (Blue theme). A ceremony is held at the Lightning Cathedral between the 10th and 11th break in celebration.
70th Zi'da:"Azurewind Memorial Dedication"Open Event
Following the terrorist attack on Azurewind Market in Ymiden by the Ring of Fire, an engraved stone wall has been erected at the eastern wall of the market, bearing the names of the ninety six victims. The Matriarch of the Thunder Priestesses arrives with a retinue of Priestess clerics to deliver a speech regarding the lives lost and Rharne's promise to root out those that were ultimately responsible.
70th Zi'da: "Rogue Rocs" Open Event
Several rogue Storm Rocs have begun attempting to nest on the river near Mistral Village. The animals have become highly aggressive and have begun attacking locals that pass nearby. The Lightning Knights and local animal experts are being consulted to figure out how to either calm the animals or bring them down.
78th Zi'da: "Silver Lightning Ball" Open Event
The Merchant's Guild is hosting a massive ball outdoors within the Glass Quarter. The celebration is located in a large outdoor park where silver and blue tents have been erected in the Ilaren's colors. There are dozens of flaming copper braziers to keep everyone warm. The Thunder Priestesses are also putting on a dazzling performance of unarmed combat that appears more like a dance than a form of fighting. Musicians are being hired in droves to fill the night with the sound of harps and lutes. Several local bars have also been hired to provide complimentary drinks at the various tents. There is a buffet area that is fully stocked with all sorts of culinary delights including a multitude of chocolates and cakes made by Sweetsong Confections. A beautiful yet massive wooden dance floor has been placed at the center of the circle of tents to encourage guests to dance and enjoy themselves. While entry is free there is a dress code. Guests must wear white, silver or azure hued clothes to honor Ilaren and the city of Rharne.
89th of Zi'da"Stolen Silver" News
The morning following the Silver Lightning Ball several homes in the Glass Quarter have been broken into and several valuable items have been stolen. Many blame the local and very small Aukari population and much of the animosity from the previous seasons begins to rise to the forefront again.
92nd of Zi'da "The March Begins" News
Massive creatures known now as the Flameborn have begun marching toward the fortress of Storm's Edge from the depths of the Stormwastes. Many of the creatures are in the shape of massive scorpions and snakes but they are led by several soldiers of flame, similar to the one that appeared late in Saun. The Lightning Knights prepare for the oncoming attack and news it sent out to the rest of Rharne for nearby civilians to evacuate away from the Stormwastes. Some people leave the capitol and head toward Volta in hopes to escaping to another nation before the onslaught begins.

The morning following the Silver Lightning Ball several homes in the Glass Quarter have been broken into and several valuable items have been stolen. Many blame the local and very small Aukari population and much of the animosity from the previous seasons begins to rise to the forefront again.
92nd of Zi'da "The March Begins" News
Massive creatures known now as the Flameborn have begun marching toward the fortress of Storm's Edge from the depths of the Stormwastes. Many of the creatures are in the shape of massive scorpions and snakes but they are led by several soldiers of flame, similar to the one that appeared late in Saun. The Lightning Knights prepare for the oncoming attack and news it sent out to the rest of Rharne for nearby civilians to evacuate away from the Stormwastes. Some people leave the capitol and head toward Volta in hopes to escaping to another nation before the onslaught begins.
