Seren Fahe was born on the 8th Trial of Zi’da in the arc of 690 under the chilly night sky. From that day on, she was raised happily by her family in Viden. Born into the Fahe family, she was never in need of anything. She always had her family to care for her and teach her about her city, Viden, and about the roots of her family and race. Her mother, Rhea, was the epitome of a mother and was always so caring for her. Whenever she was sick or upset, her mother would sing her lullabies, which is why Seren has developed a love for singing. Her mother taught her many things also, including proper manners and etiquette. She often went to work with both of her parents. Her father, Syrus, was a doctor at the infirmary, so Seren was exposed to the medical field at a young age. Her mother was a teacher at the Viden Academy for the younger students and Seren’s grandfather was the Chancellor of the Academy, thus sparking Seren’s interest in teaching.
With such an intelligent, strong family, Seren constantly pushed to be successful. She admired everyone in her family, but her main inspiration was her cousin, Caeli. The two had a close bond since Seren’s birth. Caeli often helped her with schooling and would play with her during their free time. Seren was determined to live up to her families successfulness but never felt like she was good enough. She felt even less worthy when she found out that her cousin, Isthmae would be the heir of the family, and that he had received the mark from their goddess, Yvithia. The two cousins were close in age, so Seren expected to receive her mark but never did.
Her feeling of uselessness continued through her growing years, yet she continued pushing to further her intelligence. Though, her father had become very ill and soon died when she was 24. His death was shocking to the whole family and left Seren with a feeling of emptiness. Her mother, on the other hand, stayed strong for Seren and comforted her. Before his passing, Syrus had given Seren a necklace for her to remember him. Sheud, her grandfather grew closer to her, too. The two formed a closer bond. Since his death, Seren has worked tirelessly to research her father’s illness.
She let go of her feeling of being unworthy and made a vow to herself. She vowed to follow in her father’s footsteps and keep his legacy alive. She has given her time to research and to help the needy. Often she finds herself walking through the streets of the city, socializing with the people.
