Marnie is a young woman who does not fit in. Born to parents who did not understand their daughter's quick mind, she worked two jobs in order to afford University education. Yet, when she got there she found herself a poor fit there, too. Her desire to learn is insatiable and she found herself constricted by curriculum which did not go into sufficient depth for her. A deeply moral woman, Marnie genuinely believes that Science will make the world a better place and she is determined to ensure that she is at the forefront of this. When she was invited to Eureka, she was quick to accept and move there. The thought of being able to be in a community of like minded people with a focus on research was too good an opportunity to miss.
