Yvithia nodded at them both, and then stood by as Faith saw to Treid. He was almost insensate, but seemed to improve with proximity to Yvithia. He could speak more clearly in her company, and communicate, and so to Faith he spoke, “I… I’m overwhelmed by just a rush of knowledge. It’s hard to tell.” Yvithia’s hand drifted down to take his, and then he seemed to clear his throat, “I’m - I’m sorry. I can’t tell.”
Despite Faith’s best efforts, she was not able to help him on this attempt. However, she would note that he seemed to derive strength and lucidity from Yvithia. When Faith offered to keep an eye on him, and check in once in a while he nodded his head.
When Faith turned to ask for both Treid and Yvithia’s help, Yvithia spoke for both of them, presumably, “Yes, I will help. Most of my power will be dedicated to bringing Treid back to the way he was, although I fear he may never be. Still, I will offer what assistance I’m able to, if it’s judiciously applied.”
Treid leaned on Yvithia then, as they turned around and walked into the ledge of ice that he’d been seated upon. Their figures were visible beyond the translucence of the ice for a moment or two, and then, they were gone.
Padraig and Faith of course would want to report back to Famula, or prepare their forces for the war that was coming to a head. Doubtless, Ellasin would be far more careful than before, and try to disappear.
The Cold Cycle, or perhaps the next, this war would come to a head.
