The Basket
One of the main food stores in Treid's Market is The Basket. The Basket offer mountains of all kinds of food, heaped on snow cap trays. Large heaps of woolly bison and snow auroch meat, from the common cuts to the obscure offal are all offered. So too, are a large variety of seafood, from fish to molluscs, covered in fine ice regularly for freshness. Pre-tasted white saxifrage are also sold, to ensure a guarantee for sweetness, in its raw flower form, or combined into a sweet liquid.
The main shopkeeper, Mayir Shani, is haggling furiously with a prospective buyer, while others are yelling to offer their prices at the same time. Her employees, are also both speaking to customers, bagging food and exchanging coin all at once. Mayir stops and start to yell at her employee, a timid boy, for not wrapping the meat properly. The tough woman, turns back to resume the haggling, soon causing her foe to relent and pay her price.
