Appearance/Biometrics: Dark skinned and with short cropped hair, Cormier would appear innocuous and unremarkable to most. He does wear his boiled leather armor fairly often, but apart from his knightly gear, he blends in with a crowd well. He stands at 6' tall, with brown eyes, black hair, and of average/muscular build.
Personality: Honorable to a fault, Cormier holds loyalties to one's friends as the highest virtue, even to the detriment of his own career within the Lightning Knights. He's quiet under most circumstances and has an abundance of patience. He enjoys passing down his knowledge of knightly combat and is a fair teacher of those principles.
Backstory: Sir Cormier was a Lightning Knight for the city of Rharne. He came into it after fleeing persecution in Rynmere, hoping to find refuge in Rharne from mage-killing fanatics. He was still young when he arrived in Rharne, and eventually joined the lightning knights, squiring under Genuvah's father. While working with his father, eventually they came to know Cormier's secret, that he was a secret mage. Despite this, Genuvah's father abided by his squire, shielding him from exposure as he helped bring many rogue and criminal mages to heel. He grew into the role of a loyal Lightning Knight well, until the time when he found out by hook or crook about Genuvah's family's true nature. Rather than betray them, however, he helped them bring Genuvah out of the Shadow Quarter's clutches, and brought him to Scalvoris, leaving his parents to an unknown fate.
Sir Cormier has worked as a mercenary since arriving in Scalvoris, and separating from Genuvah after the Yludih came of age. Despite his former affiliations, Cormier has managed to maintain a low profile throughout his occupation.
In-Game History Thus Far: TBD
Relationship to PC: Cormier has been watching Genuvah unknown to the lad. He's been waiting for signs that the young Yludih is mature and ready enough to learn magic. Although he's reluctant at first to put his friend's son at risk, eventually he relents, when Genuvah accepts the risk, and requests initiation from his former mentor.
Thus would begin Genuvah's training.

Appearance/Biometrics: A gray-haired old lady, her age carries the weight of her age in her human guise, while her body, standing at 5'7" appears at least mostly unaffected, although she has a habit of hunching over to keep up appearances when not fighting or running for her life.
Zunqada's Appearance in Uleuda: She has purple crystals, that shine with prismatic arrays that emit in a soft aura. Her face is very defined, and humanoid. Otherwise unremarkable in her crystalline form.
Personality: A coy and deceptive woman, yet one that isn't shy to a fight. Secretly she's competent with a sword, a secret she manages to hide from most who see her. She wields a cane sword while in her human guise as her preferred method of self-defense. She enjoys a good drink, and makes a small living gambling with sailors, bilking them out of their coin by drinking them under the table.
Backstory: Long-Lost Maternal Grandmother of Genuvah. She didn't approve of her daughter's moving to Rharne nor of the connections she made to the Shadow Quarter there, knowing that there were too many who would try to take advantage of her gift as an Yludih, or hold her nature hostage, threatening to expose her. In the end her worries turned out prophetic. She only knew Genuvah through her daughter's letters from Rharne, but became obsessed with him after losing touch with his mother.
He later found her in a tavern in Almund, muttering to herself, where he was united with his grandmother.
In-Game History Thus Far: Discretion is the better thing of something

Appearance/Biometrics: Disguise #1: Thinly built biqaj woman. Blonde hair, light blue eyes, stands at about 5'8"
Disguise #2: A raggedy old beggar-man of human extraction, with graying brown hair, and scraggly beard. Heavy-set, and with a bent back. Stands at about 5'4".
Personality: A plucky young Yludih, she has the utmost loyalty toward her kind as a whole, but wouldn't hesitate to expose or send one to justice who made things worth for the community. She can be slightly impatient and quick to speak or act. Nevertheless, she's friendly until given a reason not to be.
Backstory: Risahlih works as a pamphleteer, spreading messages that she deems worthy of spreading, while also making a side job of creating fliers for commercial use. She makes good use of Cryptography and Qa in order to attract the attention of Yludih and facilitate mass communication between enclaves of the crystalline shapeshifters. She grew up not knowing her parents, in an orphanage, never knowing her true nature until it was revealed by Tamar, who took the young woman under her wing.
She taught her everything she knows of Qa, but it didn't take long for Risahlih to exceed even her acumen at the language of their people. She makes it her mission to inform other Yludih of safe houses that are available for their kind, where they may pass their existence without being harassed by the ignorance.
In-Game History Thus Far: none yet.
Relationship to PC: Friend of his grandmother.
Mutation Ideas:
Abrogation
Theme: Prisms
Persona: Crystalized Etherist: The Crystalized Etherist has seized upon the Yludih's true nature, his crystalized form. It will tend to rebel against his illusionary disguise, seeing it as an invasive element or like just another spark. It will tend to do this in small ways, either revealing his true form through small warps in his fields and shields, where his gold-colored crystals shine through in minor ways. The Persona may make it complicated to maintain an illusion while he's using the magic.
Witchmark: A scar on his brow, that shows in a yellow, glowing scar.
Competent Mutation: Second Asterism Where his first abrogative scar was formed, there now is a shining asterism that breaks through the illusionary skin he wears. It ranges in brilliance from entirely dormant and dull, to bright when he's overusing his ether for the purposes of abrogative channeling.
Item Ideas:
Lastlight (Zihvah)
Background: An heirloom blade that was passed down from Genuvah's father to his squire, and then down to Genuvah when he was old enough to use it. It's actually a weapon with a dual identity. In Idalos, while in the light, it projects the illusion of being a well-crafted steel longsword. However, it is actually made of Uleudian crystal. How his father acquired this blade is fodder for future stories, but basically, it's intended to be a companion to Genuvah, and to grow with him in time as he gains new signature items from renown, to add abilities to the sword, more or less.
Base Item: A good quality Uleudian Crystal sword that projects the unchanging, unalterable illusion and physical properties of a good quality steel longsword, able to be wielded in either a one or a two-handed grip.
Enchantment #1: The sword, like its owner, has a dual identity. It exists in Idalos and - while exposed to the light - projects the illusion of a steel blade of good quality with all the properties of such. However, when Genuvah sleeps with the sword in his possession, a version of the sword is present in Uleuda. It retains its edge perfectly despite any abuse he puts it up against, and cannot be broken. What the sword happens to be is a mystery. Whether the sword is actually a Yludih that unlocked their true selves, or some form of enchanted crystal that somehow escaped Uleuda into Idalos is unknown. It is in Genuvah's possession, now, and it can travel with him to Uleuda in his sleep while he has it. That is all he knows about it at present.
Based on the Mark of Krorros
(Never Unarmed)
: This power was the closest thing I could find to what I wanted this weapon to do and be upon the first enchantment (signature item) I apply to it. A weapon that can always be with him and be essentially unbreakable.
