Norin's Plot Notes

The Frozen Enchantment

Chapter 1

This is an open adventure that begins in the northern city of Viden. Everyone is welcome to join at any time. The idea of the story is that it follows a band of adventurers as they explore the frozen lands of the north, the dangers they present, and perhaps also reveals some of the enchantments that can be found in the north. Norin personally is not the type of person to be able to wield such magic. The first chapter will be divided up into many small parts that all take place within Viden. As the story expands into the surrounding area, it also expands into chapter 2, at which point more notes will be added here. Both chapter 1 and 2 are expected to take place during the Cold Cycle of 720.

This part of chapter 1 covers Norin's attempt to capture an elusive snowy foxowl for Danielle, who made a bet with her fellow rangers that she could capture one. In the end, they failed to capture a foxowl and Danielle was severely wounded.

This part of chapter 1 covers Norin's visit to the The Seeker's Hideaway to learn about Hugh, a new member of the Seekers, whose mother is worried about him. As the adventurers seek out Hugh, they uncover a mysterious dark plot. The outcome of this part of the chapter is dependent on the adventurers' choices and may lead to either an alliance with the Seekers or a more violent conclusion. This part of the adventure is still being prepared, as the faction and a key NPC is currently being prepared.
