Appearance
Standing six feet and four inches tall, Isen is average height when looking at his fellow Eidisi but inches taller than the humans that he has come into contact with throughout the streets of Viden. Due to the harshness of the climate, the diet that the Eidisi partakes in, and the features that seem to be genetically found within the ranks of the Eidisi, has created and sculpted a body of lean muscle that weighs in at approximately one hundred ninety pounds.
Like all others of his race Isen skin tone of a pale blue, like the sky on a clear day. His eyes can be described as snow, as not only are they a stark white and void of all color. But they are also cold like the frozen landscape outside of Viden as they lack any kinda warmth. His hair is dark and black as the darkest nights found outside during Cylus.
The last noticeable feature of Isen, is the silvery metallic blue line of his Xypha mark over his right eye that he received from his creator after scarficing his life in the pursuit of her experimentations within the Facaility. This mark creates something of a check mark, starting on the top right towards his ear. Then travels down over the eye and ‘v’ back up to towards his nose.

History
Isen was born to Eidisi parents in great the northern ice City of Viden. His mother was employed as a professor in the mathematics within the Cerulean Wing of the Academy of Viden. His father worked as a metalsmith, specializing in finer metals such as brass, gold, silver, and other various precious metals. His shop catered to high-end buyers looking for decorative and fancy pieces of jewelry, furniture, and pieces of art. Due to the nature of his parent's professions and their social class and income, the family lived comfortably within the Amber Prism. Once the young male reached the age to start his education, he began his education and attended class in the Perse Wing of the Viden Academy. This is where he learned basic mathematics, language, and other needed subjects to make him a well-rounded child.
As the Arcs passed and Isen elevated from his primary education to his secondary education within the Sapphire Wing. Here, his studies deepened into more advanced mathematics, sciences, and history of not only the world but the great City of Viden, along with their patron Immortal Yvithia. As each season passed and the trials became Arcs, Isen’s views of this Mistress of Knowledge grew stronger, his desire to learn increased, and his thirst to prove himself. Though he was average in subjects such as Arts, Mathematics, and other various subjects. His strength was in the various types of sciences. As he reached the point that he was ready to leave the Sapphire Wing of the Academy, Isen needed to decide on the course for his life. As he decided on what his course of action would be, he made his plans.
With a purpose in life and the drive needed to make it happen, Isen quickly enrolled in the Viden Academy, seeking to gain knowledge to find a way to serve Yvithia. Upon his acceptance to the academy, Isen’s courses of study tended to favor the sciences. To the Eidisi, it was common knowledge to the reasoning of their origin and their creation. Their Immortal sought a way to revive and save her love, the creator of the Ellune, the Immortal Treid. His initial Arcs in the Academy kept him within the Viridian Wing. Studying through courses of Herbalism, Medicine, and Surgery. Each of these sciences dealt with life and death. Each of these sciences allowed one to bring life, postpone death, and allow one to take the fate of another into their own hands. With each season that passed, Isen’s studies continued. This allowed him to delve further and deeper into various sections of the Great Library of the Viden Academy. As the greatest source of written knowledge, there was. Inside there were books, tomes, and scrolls from every corner of the world. Some of these texts were one of a kind and allow the knowledge seekers to find information no one else would have access too.
His studies consisted of numerous research projects to discover various properties of mundane plants that have the ability to heal the sick or poison the healthy by dissecting the various roots, leaves, and stems of the flora found across the world. They would have to submit various written projects on the different subjects they studied, such as having to spend many Breaks within the library to meticulously detail the numerous organs within the body along with their functions and purpose within. The group also had some practical exercises that included putting together the various lessons they had learned. Then taking the tools of the trade into a room with a body donated to the Academy in the name furthering of science. In the room, Isen would take the scalpel and peel away the skin, he would use the saws to remove the rib cage, forceps to remove the organs. All to further his own knowledge of medicine and become one of the next generations of healers and doctors. Outside of his time in class within the Academy, Isen didn’t seek out the company of others beyond his fellow students in the academic capacity. Though he would attend the various social affairs and mingle as the social norms dictated. The Eidisi even would give and receive a few gifts on Sofíthia in honor of his city’s patron. Though he may not have made friends, he had made research partners including some of the more intelligent Ellune. This would be where Isen would be able to pick up, through his Immortal’s Blessing, the ability to carry a brief and quick conversation in the Ellune’s native Leni.
With every passing Trial the knowledge he sought wasn’t found. Each experiment ended in failure. Every class led to the same conclusion, that what he sought to do was not possible. The science that he felt would give what he wanted, what he craved, didn’t seem realistic to accomplish. For the first time since his rebirth, he was at a lost. Eidisi aren’t people to give up, aren’t people to surrender to nothing, aren’t people to forsake knowledge. Having to approach the problem from a different angle, Isen started looking through the other sections of the library. Moving from the first floor to the second floor then to the third floor. If hard science didn’t hold the answers of sought, possible the arcane sciences would hold the truths. With this discovery, the student switched courses of study to the Griseous Wing. From here Isen believed he discovered his true calling, his true source to repay the debt he owed, the true power to find all the knowledge that he could ever desire. Though all the study was theoretical and intellectual based and lacked any form of practical study, he believed it would hold the answers he sought.
Even without physical training and practical elements of his study, Isen knew that he needed to learn more. Starting with the subjects, the practices, which did not require him to be able to use magic, control a spark, or manipulate ether. First, he began the study of Alchemy, the study of taking the arcane and the mundane to combining them to become one. Learning of the process of creation, the reagents, mediums, and costs that are used, and some darker branches of the alchemical process. To further his ability to create, he sought out another more common practice known as Ensorcelling. Though the academy wouldn’t allow Isen the ability to test his theories and practice his skills, he continued to learn and gain knowledge. But these practices were not enough, alone they were not enough. He wanted more…. He needed more…
Through the instructions of his teachers, he gained access to some of the more restricted tomes within the library. This is where he discovered what he believed to be the answer to his questions or the solution to his problems. He discovered the Domain Magic of Necromancy. He went through every tome he could find. Every scroll that was written. Every Book that existed inside the library. He took the notes required, learned the skills, and gained the knowledge. But even with all this written word, it wasn’t enough. He wouldn’t be able to use what he learned as he wasn’t initiated into the discipline. He didn’t have an active spark inside him. He needed to gain this power, so he began the process of finding a master. But the Academy would not provide him one.
But what Isen didn’t know is that his studies were gaining the attraction of others. He gained the attention of the Facility for Retrospective Analysis. After completing his tenth Arc within the Academy, he was approached and taken to a room that he did not know. Inside this room, he was brought before a dark haired woman. His mother and creator. The one who brought him into his new life. The Immortal Yvithia. After his ideas and concept were brought forth. He was given a choice, to learn and bring new ideas to old concepts or not. The Eidisi couldn’t refuse. This was his lifelong goal, to bring his knowledge and allow the Mistress of Intelligence to gain what she wanted more than anything else. Isen of course accepted.
Now as a member of the Facility, he had access to what he needed to begin his new courses of study, a Master of Necromancy. Isen became an apprentice to his master. Learning the skills he would need later, the ability to cut and shape the bodies of his thralls, the ability to manipulate wells, the differences between normal necromancy and bonesinging. He observed his master raise thralls for various courses of study. He learned the different types of thralls and what their purposes where. He learned about overstepping his spark and the dangers that he would face if he did. He took notes on his master stripping the flesh from the bones of a body to allow for the creation of marrows. He started carving and shaping golems out of clay for his master to rise from a later date. As his master felt that Isen had gained all the knowledge he needed to succeed, the master began the process of initiating his fellow blue scholar.
A couple of days before what Isen would later find out to be his initiation to necromancy. Isen arrived for his daily work duty and began the slow process of preparing his master’s workspace. He began by cleaning each of the tools. Taking the equipment to the washing basin, filling the basin with warm water and cleaning soap. Running the various blades, saws, tongs, and bowls through the solution. As each tool is cleaned, they were dried and placed on a tool rack. Next, he brought in today's body that will be prepared for animation. Once prepared, the master walked into the room. As Isen prepared to step away, he was instructed to prepare the corpse. Taking his working apron from the rack, he selected his the sharpest of the knives, as he cut a long line down the right hand. This allowed him to access each of the fingers and carve each of the bones to a point. Unlike his master, who was able to shape the body through the flow of ether, Isen had to go through the long drawn out process of shaping this body and preparing it by hand. Upon completion, Isen was told to return in three days time and to use the time to study his lessons and notes to prepare for his final test as well as rest.
The master brought Isen into an unused section of the Facility. Once inside the room, Isen observed there was a single thrall, the very gaunt he had shaped three days previously, was laying on the ground. Knowing what was coming, the Eidisi smiled. The master animated the corpse and froze it in place, then he took a small knife from the table and cut the palm of his right hand. Then he instructed Isen to do the same, to which he did. Then the shook hands. With the grip taking hold, the spark was passed. The newly created mage was then barred in the room by the master. Once he was gone, the thrall began to move. It began to seek out the flesh and blood of the student. The mage began the battle of willings and stripping his Master of control over the body and take it for himself. The process was a long one, though he couldn’t wrestle control in the beginning, he kept it from killing him. The animation would take a step and then freeze as the mental struggle took place inside the mind of Isen. Then it would take another step, as the necromancer struggled for control. For every Break that passed, the mage struggled to hold what little control he had. Every bit that passed, the mage’s energy slowly faded which was evident by the sweat built up along his brow. Then just like that, with no fanfare or breakthrough, the gaunt stopped moving. It fell to the control of Isen, then crumpled.
As the master felt his control over the gaunt fade, he stood up and returned to the room. Inside he found the thrall, inanimate and laying on the floor, while his student sat on a bench. With the apprentice now a formal user of the Necromancy arts. The master congratulated his apprentice who was now a fully fledged mage and had an active spark with him. Along with access to the magic that he believed would further his knowledge, his ambition, and complete the goals that he had set out for himself many Arcs before. With this new power, the young mage began his own experiments and his own research he continued for many Arcs with no progress, until now.
