Also note, that where Auya is building, it is 1 day by foot from Rharne City (half day by boat on the river). She's just outside Mistral Village, on the western side, on the river front.

One shovel had a clear hair fracture down the center of it. Auya tutted, walking up to the counter with it, "You can't be sellin' this. It will fall apart if it hits a rock." The man behind the counter looked skeptical, "Is that so, Firesnatch?"
Auya felt it before she heard it. "OY!" The man behind the counter jumped, and Laramy stepped forward, holding a pickaxe. "You think this is any good mate? Looks pretty sturdy if I do say so myself. Could probably bury it to the head in a boulder, no problem. Don't you agree?"
The man looked nervous, "I don't want any trouble."
Auya spoke up this time, "We just want to buy good equipment..."
The man looked as Laramy was stroking the shaft of the pickaxe, intentionally flexing his arms that were built from years in the mines. "Um, sorry about earlier. I'll send that shovel back to the smith, thank you for pointing it out."
Laramy smiled brightly, "Hey no problem mate. Everyone makes mistakes. Cheers."
They gathered the rest of their equipment and paid the man, then stepped out in the village, carrying the whole lot between the two of them. It was midday under the new sun of Ashan, still chilly but at least their was light and growing warmer with each day. "Ain't nothin' better to do in spring than diggin' holes."
They walked through town, heading westward, "That sounds sarcastic, but I bet that's what you actually did as a kid."
He winked at her, confirming it. She just snorted and they left the safety of the village perimeter, following the road to her piece of land nearby. It was going to be a long day of digging and breaking roots. Nothing better to do she supposed. "Miss the family yet?"
She could see the look on his face that he did, "Nah, just visiting her sister's. Good for the kids, that woman will put some meat on their bones." They crossed the threshold into her property, seeing the newly finished cabin. She smiled every time they saw it, "What a beauty."
They set down their tools, taking a quick coffee break on the doorstep of the house. "Gonna be a good day."
