Patrick was quick to provide Faith what she need of the memory when the time came, as well as the bit of blood donated since he also possessed two marks also. It dawned on him that in his efforts to further advance the war efforts, he might do to consider the possibility of honing his craft for them. Which... wasn't something easy for him since they were in essence magic, and he always felt iffy when it came to using magic regardless of intention. Still it was of importance much like the research, so he studied the extensive compilation of notes gathered before him. He read further into the aspects of Necromancy and a compilation of what powers they had, finding it unsettling the further he read on to study them and their craft.
So from the looks of it their most substantial thralls utilized wells, which were magical objects that empowered them... kind of like a soul did with the body? It was all strange for him, then again being here in itself was strange to begin with; though he considered it self interest invested in others for once. That said he felt it highly imperative to read more, to collect as much knowledge as he can on this particular subject for the future. Ellasin wasn't the only necromancer out there after all, just the most dangerous until proven to be eliminated that is. All of this would be useful to reference for later if he had to fight another, since he knew just how terrifying a necromancer could truly be.
Noth's own asset for instance... when the thralls overtook the ship just outside Etzos, Pat considered himself lucky for a multitude of reasons. Namely for the fact he briefly knew Noth well enough, so that the two could interact enough for him to walk away with his own life; while the murderous half-breed finished sacking that vessel. "I've had way too many close calls in the past..." Yet given what he was getting himself into, there would most definitely be more to come. He had to really consider his place among everyone here, as well as come up with a plan on handling himself better in the field.
Come the time when Faith returned with a lantern Patrick and Dom watched closely, his older brother unnerved as though it were something familiar to him. "What is it?" He asked as the former Lightning Knight fidgeted and watched warily.
"I recognize that lantern."
"Huh? Recognize?" He looked utterly confused at the damn thing.
"You're about to find out..." And sure enough he did. When Faith placed the lantern down and the doorway opened, it became fairly obvious that they were going somewhere... It was by far outside his comfort zone but given how deep Pat was already, he didn't wish to just linger out here when he wanted to be involved. This had slowly become his fight too in a sense, as he felt like he owed a lot as of late. He owed Faith for all the good things she did for him and for Rharne, he owed Ellasin a fucking bolt to the skull for her wicked ways, he owed his peers at present as they helped him become who he is now... He owed Rharne... Damn it he had to go, there was no fucking way he'd sit this one out. "I'm pretty sure that's Famula's domain. She held a lantern like that when I saw her..." Patrick knew what he referred to now. The time in which Dominek's death came and he faced judgement, yet he didn't wish to pass on as others sometimes did.
"You okay with this?" He checked with his older brother who reluctantly agreed, as the Rharnian rose out of his chair to follow those going in. "Let's go see the realm of the dead then." He muttered lowly as goosebumps covered his arms, moments later the two went beyond to join the rest in their meeting.
