Rumors were normally the first signs of change and news that spread like wildfire through a city. News of the stone plateau west of Faldrass had not yet made it to Rharne; however, its creator had. As an Immortal, Moseke had the luxury of passing through Emea. Traveling between cities was significantly easier that way. She had entered through the dreams of one of the Thunder Priestesses, a young Sev'ryn girl that had journeyed north for various reasons. Moseke would have liked to talk with her on any other occasion, but this trip had been about business. Desnind needed to gain acknowledgement. The isolation had gone on long enough and she believed that increasing the accessibility of the south might allow travelers the luxury of exploring the hidden treasures of Desnind and the Makubwa Lori.

Moseke found Rharne to have unique traits that brought a variety of travelers. One of the finest traits was its patron Immortal, Ilaren. Moseke and Ilaren considered one another allies at this time, favoring mortals and doing anything necessary to ensure the survival of their individual cities. Moseke had stopped to chat with Ilaren out of courtesy and respect. Her plan was given the go ahead by the Lightening Goddess herself, to which Moseke was deeply grateful. With Ilaren's blessing, Moseke passed unnoticed through the city dressed in her abnormal tribal furs and covered by a thick fur coat. Some may have looked at her strangely as she descended from the Sky Quarter, exiting Rharne so that she might feast her eyes upon the surrounding terrain. Once again, Chrien's domain was in her sights.

One might ask why these stone plateaus rose from the water of all places. Was Moseke trying to antagonize Chrien into a fight? If asked directly, even Moseke would deny that reason. She had little desire to stimulate a war between earth and water. One needed the other; a simple fact of life. No, instead she was finding safe places for her giant beasts to land so that they would not harm cities, individuals, and the surrounding terrain. Moseke suspected that a single flutter of their wings could fell a tree or two. With a strong push of wind to lift their enormous bodies, Moseke could see mass destruction in their wake. Who would fly monsters that could destroy?

On the shore of Lake Lovalus, she again drew her hands before her towards the sky. An identical stone plateau rose from the waters, breaking the glass surface as it did. The natural stone staircase spiraled around the closest edge down to the stone pier. Soon, an individual would arrive from Desnind to tend this location. Rumors would spread and pique the interest of travelers in her wake.

Ske'tana

History: Ske'tana is a very secretive woman. Much of her history is unknown. She appeared in Desnind one afternoon, disembarking a ship from a northern city with little to her name. No one could get through her quiet demeanor and often left her to herself. She was useful to Desnind, as she was interested in spreading her teachings from the north to those willing to learn in the south. She joined the Ti'al. Ske'tana kept her head down. It was easy for her to hide her previous interest in magic as she did not actively pursue the Spark within her. Instead, her bonds with the elements remained uncultivated. She was just like anyone else.

When Moseke came to her with the proposition of returning to the Northern world to bring travelers south, Ske'tana was apprehensive. It took several days of wooing before Ske'tana agreed to go north to Rharne. She wished to bring others, like herself, to Desnind so they might discover themselves. Ske'tana only agreed to the position as long as her stay in the north was shorter lived than most. Moseke gave her a position halfway, given Ske'tana's equal hatred to the icy cold of the far north.

Moseke gifted Rud’nia, Mip'on, Ske'tana, Ger'ine, Yasmin, and Jerome with an egg to care for. She then whispered them away to a secret place in the Makubwa Lori to raise these eggs until they were ready to hatch. They were given specific instructions on the materials they would need to build while their hatchlings grew. Together, they built great harnesses, saddles, and nets to carry multiple people and their belongings through the air. While they lived in secret, Rook came with additional supplies from time to time throughout the season, ensuring they wanted for nothing.

The eggs hatched halfway through the season and their growth was exponential from then on. Eventually they were large enough to carry one or two people at a time. Moseke returned to them at that time. She explained that she would build them private landings in three cities where the beasts would live. They would fly out now with intent to arrive in late Ymiden at their location. Rud’nia was the first to leave as her trip was the longest. Mip’on, Ger'ine, and NAME were the last to leave since they were to be stationed initially at the Desnind location.

Ske'tana flies Redgrape, the paired Flutterbus to Ger'ine's beast. Both beasts have red wings with orange markings. The two had agreed upon a schedule when they would come and go. They would meet in the air in passing halfway through the journey and land the same day in opposite locations. Ske'tana has little to say about her partner aside from his ability to control his paired beast. She has no ill will to her compatriots but has little association with them as well. As has always been her philosophy, she keeps her head down and goes about her business quietly.

History: Ger'ine is by far the most outspoken of the group of Flutterbus handlers. As a teenager, Ger'ine did his best to woo as many young girls within Desnind. He was more focused on women then he was on helping his people. He preferred to chase skirts instead of deer. As he grew older, this ideal only matured within him. His pool narrowed and he sought a wife. He fine-tuned his path and eventually sought guidance from the Ti'al. Although he never became a teacher or a traveling prophet, he learned from them a great many things. He pursued lifelong learning by becoming an everlasting student of the Cïkäkkẹn.

His love of learning is what drew Moseke to him. She wanted him to become a handler so that he might experience other cities and outside cultures. When he discovered new things, he could bring it back to the Ti'al and share with others his interpretations of the outside world. This, inevitably, would lead the way to him joining the Cïkäkkẹn as a T'ọhun. While learning about Rharne, the Thunder Priestess, and the Lightning Knights, he shared the ways of Moseke and Desnind's culture.

Mip’on, Ger'ine, and Yasmin were the last to leave since they were to be stationed initially at the Desnind location.

Ger'ine flies Redwine, the paired Flutterbus to Ske'tana's beast. These paired beasts have large red wings with orange markings. The two had agreed upon a schedule when they would come and go. They would meet in the air in passing halfway through the journey and land the same day in opposite locations. One would think that Ger'ine would have continued his lovestruck ways with the women outside of Desnind. To everyone's greatest surprise, he seems to be taken with Ske'tana. She is completely oblivious to his desires, and he intends to keep it that way while they work together.

Schedule

It is 30gn to travel one way on the Rharne Flutterbus.
The Rharne Flutterbus travels from Ashan to early Zi'da. Since Treth and Rharne are in warmer regions of Idalos, they have an extended travel period.

The Flutterbus is capable of carrying 10-15 people in a single trip. From Rharne to Desnind, the trip is approximately 15 trials with a few breaks of travel on either end to get to and leave the landing. There are specific departure and arrival dates to ensure that the paired Flutterbuses for Rharne leave and arrive at the same times.

Below is a list of departure and arrival dates. In parenthesis are the handlers leaving from that location. For example, On the 89th of Ashan, Ske'tana will be leaving from Rharne and Ger'ine will be leaving from Desnind. This will allow each player to know which NPC will be available for RP at the time they travel. Ger'ine is the handler for Redwine and Ske'tana flies Redgrape.

It should be known that Aukari and Naerrik will not be able to board the Flutterbus. These races are untrustworthy and are considered dangerous. Aukari and Naerrik are expected to get to the Southern Region via the traditional method of boarding a boat.

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be then me.
