Type of Material: WoodAcquired By: Anybody lucky enough to find it or rich enough to buy it
Rarity: Very Rare
Price: 25 GN/meter at 10 cm diameter
Details: The àwọsánmà ìlä is a type of wood only found within the Makubwa Lori. The wood comes from the chieja ọludïbọ tree and is the strongest wood found within Idalos. The wood is incredibly difficult to work with and also incredibly rare. Due to the fact that no Sev'ryn would ever cut down a tree, as it is a punishable offense if done without specific permission and following strict guidelines, the wood is incredibly difficult to come by. The only way to acquire the wood is to wait for some natural event to cause the tree to a lose branch or even smaller amount of wood. Wood of this kind, no matter how large or small, is precious and some would even kill to obtain it. The wood is made even rarer by the rarity of the chieja ọludïbọ trees, some of the hardest trees to find in the forest. This wood is both strong and bendable. When acquired in thick logs it is incredibly difficult to snap. Some even say it is impossible. When acquired in thinner branches or sticks and made thinner the wood is extremely bendable, making it difficult to snap but possible. The wood gets gradually more bendable the thinner it is made. It can be treated with a mix of fire and bees wax in order to make it to the desired malleability. The inside of the wood is a dark black colour sometimes more purple or red.
Other Information: This wood has been used to make some of the most expensive and impressive bows in Idalos and few outside of Desnind will ever experience the wood at all. This wood is kept by many who acquire it and few are willing to trade or sell the item. The only time this wood will leave its owners possession is to have it crafted by an extremely skilled woodworker. The processed wood has a beautiful colour and can be made to shine as bright as precious metals.
