Names: Saikuru, Noble's Blessing, Farmer's Friend

Frequency: Common

Appearance: This flower grows to roughly knee high on an average sized human. It produces large (palm sized), beautiful blossoms that are sky blue in the center of the flower with darker outer petals that range in color from purple, to dark blue, to black. The sky blue portion of the petals glows under the light of the moon, making this distinctive flower as easy to spot in the dark as it is during the day.

Toxicity & Hazards: Saikuru is not poisonous, but misusing this plant can lead to dangerous pregnancies for the female that consumes it.

Properties: Fertility. It is safe for animals, and people alike, and all parts of the plant can be used; flowers, leaves, stems, and roots. Saikuru can be eaten fresh, or brewed into a tea when dried. It has a light, sweet flavor that makes people and animals alike enjoy the taste. When given to a male, it acts as an aphrodisiac. When using one part of the plant (flowers, or leaves, or roots, etc.) on a female, it will guarantee that they will become pregnant, even if an animal is not in heat, or if a woman has given birth recently. Using more than one part of the plant will make the drug more potent, and may cause multiple births, especially in animals who are prone to them (like ewes since they often produce twins, and even triplets), or people who have twins in their family. This will also cause animals that birth litters (like cats and dogs) to bear litters on the larger side of average for their species. Using the entire plant will ensure multiple births; horses will bear twin foals, women will give birth to twins or triplets with a small chance of quadruplets or quintuplets, and so on.

Other Information: Saikuru is a very common flower that likes lots of sun, but can grow in shade. It can be found in primarily in grassy areas, and forests. And it can be cultivated easily, making it even more readily available. It grows for most of the arc; Ashan through Vhalar. Nobles (and any who are forced into a marriage they may not want) like it because it makes producing an heir very easy. Farmers who raise animals love it because it makes breeding their stock much easier.

Other Information: Viras is a huge man. He is also a cruel, sadistic man who takes great pleasure in the suffering of others. But he takes that a step further. He enjoys causing physical pain, but what he enjoys the most is hurting someone in the worst way possible. If someone is afraid of rats, he takes great pleasure in locking them in a room full of them. If they are afraid of the dark, he will blind them. Animals, and slaves that are broken by him are truly broken. His greatest pleasure comes from using a victim's worst fears against them. The one and only person that Viras loves or feels any loyalty to is his younger brother, Varnu. He is extremely protective of his brother, and hurting him will drive Viras into a rage that won't be sated until the person who dared do so has been utterly destroyed in the most painful way possible. Viras joined Faction VII because life as a bandit offered him chances to hurt people that were hard to come by in a more honest profession. He serves under Valkyr's command.

Other Information: Varnu is Viras's younger brother. As his beloved older brother, Viras can do no wrong in his eyes. His loyalty is to Viras, and Viras alone. But he will trust and obey anyone his brother tells him to. Varnu is less brutal than his brother can be, and he can be reasoned with at times. If a potential victim begs for their life, he may take pity on them if they have something they can offer as a suitable bribe (money, valuables, property that can be used as a base, valuable skills, etc.) And if they don't, he will kill them as quickly and painlessly as possible; he does not take pleasure in the suffering of others the way his brother does. Varnu will not kill a child under any circumstances. But that is not to say that he is a kind man. Varnu takes what he wants, whether it belongs to him, or not. And if someone gets hurt in the process, he is perfectly fine with that. He serves under Valkyr's command.

Other Information: Viran has very graceful, almost feminine features. It helps him to disguise himself as a girl when needed in order to provide a distraction during a raid, or to get information from someone who is likely to say more than he should while trying to impress a pretty girl. Viran is not truly bandit material, but his skills with linguistics make him valuable to Faction VII all the same. He was once a member of the Qe'dreki, but when so many others who shared his beliefs were captured, he fled; his own beliefs in their cause were more due to the fact that his best friend, and older brother were also Qe'dreki. When they were killed in the fighting, there was little to hold him, so he fled. And when he was approached by a member of Faction VII, he joined willingly. It was better than living as a fugitive without a single ally, or fleeing the kingdom. As an expert in linguistics, he is fluent in his native language, Xanthea, and conversational in Common, and Rakahi. He serves under Valkyr's command.

Other Information: Vir has been working with Faction VII ever since he was a child. His father was a cruel, abusive man with a violent temper. When Vir was 10, his father killed his mother, and younger siblings in a drunken rage. Something in him snapped. When he came back to himself, the room was covered in blood, his father was dead, and the blade that killed him was clutched in his hands. Fearing being executed for killing a man, he fled...right into a group of bandits who had been coming to raid his farm. Using the blade he had killed his own father with, he tried to defend himself. Although he was overpowered, his spirit, and natural skill impressed the bandits. They were even more impressed when they entered the house to loot it, and saw what was left of the young boy's father. For those reasons, rather than kill him, the bandits offered Vir a chance to join them. He never looked back. Vir thrives in the life as a bandit. As a child, he was a victim until the bodies of his family caused him to snap and kill the man who killed them. The hard won strength he has gained as a bandit ensures that he will never be a victim again. He was a part of the group of bandits that captured Lei'lira Warrick in Saun 716, but he survived Victor Warrick's wrath because he was away at the time the man rescued his niece, and ordered the bandit camp destroyed. Now he serves under Valkyr's command.

Name: Orien Daris aka Veron

Appearance: Veron is just shy of 6 feet tall and weighs 238lbs. He doesn’t have any noticeable scars, except for a brand on his left shoulder for the faction VII. He has brown, slightly muddy coloured hair and grey eyes. He is distinctly average in his appearance, a face you would forget in a crowd. He does however move slow and stiff, an old injury to his leg causes him pain and he occasional will use a cane. More often, he rests his weight on the furniture or walls. A favourite is sitting down, or leaning on door-frames.
Personality: Orien/Veron loves money and he’s pretty good at making it. His brothers were better fighters but Veron invested his skills in businesses and networking. His two older brothers were recruited to fight for the Vii, Venom in particular is known for his love of creating new poisons. Veron’s skills are more useful to the faction in expanding their coin. After all, even secret factions need coin. Veron has an astute attention to detail and excellent memory. He holds onto information until the time it becomes more profitable. For his faction he has traded in stolen goods, priceless art and people.
Relationship to PC: Other than avarice, Veron is also prone to fall prey to a pretty face. He found Kes’Trel in a cheap brothel in Etzos when she was still fairly fresh to the scene. In fact, she’d learnt just enough to satisfy his desires. She was also available for purchase as something he deemed far below her value, so she was a bargain and a savvy investment. Veron is likely to sell Kes on in the future, when the profit is highest. In the meantime, she remains valuable to him as an asset to gain favour amongst the faction; especially if a recent arrangement has fallen through.

Not a tall man, with tousled blonde hair and beard. His heritage is as plain as if someone has tattooed ‘Warrick’ on his forehead. Broad shoulders and piercing blue eyes and there is no mistaking Victor. A family man, Victor was devastated by the loss of his only son. Usually fair and even minded he has encouraged his daughter to follow her hears desire in her pursuit of a career in the Iron Hand. Though with John’s death he regrets the decision and would deter her if possible. Although recognises that encouraging training and the increase of her skills would serve better in the long run.

An ambitious noble, Victor wants the best for the name Warrick and preferably his own children. This may be to the determinant of his nieces and nephews. Whatever ambitions he keeps however, he holds close to his chest. Victor appears as a genial man, an gruff temperament which gives way to an easy smile and an awareness of those around him that helps him to appear kind.

A former stable hand, Kit is an adventurous young man with a love of animals. The rebellion saw him join up to the Iron Hand and put his passion to good use. A keen learner, Kit is uncertain if he will ever be forgiven by Malcolm Krome for shooting him in the arm and intends to avoid the Warden if possible.

The Alliance


What do they believe? The Alliance are a splinter organisation of the RCA. They believe the RCA is outmoded, out of touch and out of time. The RCA is a whimsically looked upon as a bunch of middle-aged men and women with far too much time on their hands, and a penchant for causing unnecessary aggravation – without results. The simplified sect of Alliance is made of aggrieved members of the RCA who want change and they want it now. The Alliance are not beyond dirtier tactics than the RCA, nor do they abhor violence. Peaceful protest may not be the way forward, and it may not be the way to depose the unfit king and his court of nobility. The Alliance will take whatever steps they deem necessary.
There are rumours that disgraced and now untitled Edmund Burhan has a hand in the Alliance, and even whispers that it is funded in part by the bandit faction, VII. These rumours are so far unfounded.
The Alliance is selective when it comes to choosing its members. Members are usually approached if they possess useful skills to further the destructive cause. Once a member, it does however, become very difficult to leave. The Alliance is committed to providing results.

Information: Neskite, or the Northman's stone as it is called by the people of Gawyne, is a type of stone only found in the northern region of Rynmere, particularly Gawyne. The only real way to differentiate this stone from the normal one is through touch, as Neskite will always appear a tad warmer than any other stone, due to its heat-keeping properties. It is capable of insulating whichever room it is built into, and essentially making it cold-proof. There are many mines set up all over Gawyne mining specifically for this stone, as it is very common in the northern mountains. This stone is also one of the few exports Gawyne has to offer to the rest of the kingdom, since no other regions have that much supply of Neskite. Many houses in the northern region are made of this material, as long as the owner of the house has enough money to pay for the increased prices. Even Fort Gawyne itself is made partly out of this material, keeping the nobles that live inside happy and warm even in the coldest night of Cylus (as long as they don't start opening windows).

Villages: High density around Oxentide, almost all sprawled around the barony's capital, creating an urban atmosphere. However, a low density of villages outside of the northern end of the barony.

The Barony of Novilane, located along Cyrene Bay and Venora's southern coast, is a prosperous and wealthy barony typically inherited by the heir of the ducal throne of Venora. The barony is renowned for its strong presence on the Cyrene Bay trade node, receiving a great deal of shipments and tariff gold for items and luxuries heading westward, towards the rest of Venora, Burhan or Warrick. Due to its strong position in foreign and internal trade, the city of Oxentide (the barony's capital) has since developed into a booming hub of industry, employing large swaths of commoners in textiles, ceramics, glassworking, the sale of luxury goods, and the production of a great sum of goods assembled in Venora and even neighboring Duchies. Oxentide is renowned for its role as an urban center, with many of the surrounding villages of Novilane acting as its suburbs. As a result, Novilane's population is almost entirely focused around or within Oxentide, with much of the outer areas managed only by camps of laborers or farmers.

While most of Venora's lands typically ply their trade in music and art, Novilane and particularly Oxentide are unique in their industrial and manufacturing focus. Due to the vast amount of jobs available in the holding of Oxentide, it is the most populous holding in Venora, actually followed after by Sabaissant due to the latter city's emphasis on privacy and wealthy hegemony.

The realms outside of Oxentide are mostly rural or suburban, with a focus on mining and winemaking on the interior, and agriculture and fishing along the coast. While most of the realm of Novilane is fairly flat, the borders are dominated by mountains, save for several trade routes with long roads leading towards Andaris, Sabaissant, Drakengard, and other large settlements within the Kingdom of Rynmere.

Oxentide


Oxentide, the seat of the baron, is one of the most industrialized cities in Rynmere. A place of innovation, many great inventions across Rynmere's history have been credited as being birthed and funded within this holding, particularly within the field of engineering. The economy of Oxentide has been one of continual growth for the past 86 arcs, when a previous Baron of the land began to invite academics from Viden, Ne'haer, Nashaki, Etzos, Hiladrith and other places across the world of Idalos to combine their knowledge.

As such, Oxentide is one of an incredibly diverse demographic, with a larger percentage of biqaj and other non-human races than any other area in Venora. Notably, there is a strong presence of Qi'ora in the town, drawn by the industry of glassblowing and masonry that has presented itself in the western half of Oxentide. Along the coast, the majority of the population is of mixed biqaj ancestry, where naval, wind and water-based technology are constantly being approached, researched, and re-examined.

Downsides

While Oxentide is a highly developed and innovative industrial center, there are a great deal of downsides that come with its business practices, its risky endeavors, and its development of energy and utilization of coal and other substances. For one, the town's crime rate is considerably higher than in the upper-class cities that tend to litter Venora. Most of the crime differences lay in robberies, petty theft and burglary, but vandalism and other crimes are considered an issue within the town. Drugs and their influence are always a challenge within the barony considering foreign trade and smuggling. The homicide rate is significantly higher than in Sabaissant, due to the cultural and racial tensions that exist between the unique groups inhabiting districts of the realm.

Furthermore, the lifespan of your average worker in Oxentide is notably lower than those in Venora's upper class cities, due to lung issues relating to the usage of smelting, coal and untested substances in order to achieve higher efficiency in the industrial centers. As a result, while Oxentide is a large money earner, it is also a place of significant risk compared to the safe and insulated centers of the rest of urban Venora.

Finally, Oxentide is constantly dealing with competitive trade opposition from Astedia as a result of their fairly equal share of the Cyrene Bay trade node. While the Duchy does not deal with as much privateering as Astedia at the far end of the bay, they struggle with issues of tariffs and foreign merchants constantly, and their economy can often fluctuate as a result of these disputes.

Setting Sun Estate


The Setting Sun Estate, seat of the Baron of Novilane, is named for its historical significance. Near the end of Nora, First Queen of Rynmere's life, the Setting Sun Estate was built as a place of retirement for her to dwell within as her children succeeded the Duchies of Andaris and Venora. The name signified, then, the setting of Nora's story upon the land - the end of her life, a place for her to die. Since then, it has served as a place of rulership for the firstborn child of the reigning Venora Duke, expanded upon and renovated consistently as both a historical site and a place of nigh-Sacred significance.

The Setting Sun Estate, while not as grand as the Sabaissant du Cristel, remains near to the people of Oxentide, overlooking the town from atop a rocky hill, farmland and endless plains at its back. It is from this estate that the Baron of Novilane leads, with a great deal of jobs provided within the estate itself, lumber mills and orchards a satellite around the building, many workers living within the manor doubly as servants and interns for Oxentide's great industries.

Note: Much of the estate, once known as the Setting Sun Palace, is now owned by Zaran Ki'zola's shipping and porting company. As a result, Alistair only holds a portion of the manor.

Kamden Bradford, Chancellor of the Barony of Novilane, serves as the direct advisor and assistant to the reigning baron. Previously serving beneath Willow Venora, he has essentially acted as interim leader within the Barony due to the former Baroness' dilettante approach to her role. As such, Kamden is highly well connected within Oxentide, and greater Novilane, with a firm grasp on the political and business landscape within the barony.

Currently, Kamden Bradford acts doubly as the Dean of the Oxentide Development Committee, seeking ways to expand upon the Barony's infrastructure and turn it into one of the greatest realms in Northern Idalos. His goal, he has always said, has been to witness Oxentide rival Andaris in all ways but crime committed per capita.

The man is quite admired by the business owners of the holding, though he holds a fairly ambivalent reputation among the common citizenry. Few notice his workings, and instead direct their ire mostly towards the former Baroness Willow, stating her irresponsibility as their grievance.

Taya Barrett

Taya Barrett, born in the Eternal Empire, is a woman of incredible mystery. Even among the nobles there lies speculation, particularly regarding her inner thoughts, and the depth of her loyalty. She immigrated to Rynmere as a young teenager, citing her interest in the Iron Hand as a ladder on which she sought to climb. However, as she progressed through the Moseke Knights of Venora, the woman decided that her desires fell elsewhere - she would rather be a leader than an eternal follower, and so she became the Marshal of Novilane, leading the grand retinue and military force under the charge of Novilane's Baron.

In her time in said position, she has done incredibly well, organizing the retinue and training them to exceptional quality. She has also taken direct part in determining the upper echelon of the guard, a task she is proud of accomplishing, considering the decline of crime since replacing the decadent commissioner chosen by the former Baroness, Willow.

The Marshal allegedly holds the mark of Krorros, though she has never stated it, and refuses to acknowledge such questions. As in all things, she is very reserved in regards to her faith.

Zaran Ki'zola

Zaran Ki'zola, known internationally as "Zaran of Oxentide", is a well-renowned shipbuilder and developer of modern sail technologies, based in Oxentide, Novilane. Due to his exceptional skill in the craft, the position of Admiral of Novilane was created specifically for him, never granted to anyone before him or after. Zaran operates a shipbuilding dock on the eastern corner of the coastal port known as "Montefrey," where a great deal of trade ships and navigational vessels are developed and built with the intention to expand the technology of Venora's navy. While the navy developed by Zaran still remains quickly behind Burhan, the man has helped to rapidly expand the Duchy's naval force, largely focused in the barony of Novilane.

Before becoming a famous naval thinker in Novilane, Zaran spent most of his youth in Ne'haer's nearby city of Bayward. Ironically among most of the biqaj in Oxentide, Zaran strongly supports slavery, and has a large quantity of slaves who operate the woodwork required to build his naval constructs. This is likely due to Bayward's own open advocacy for slavery, with Zaran true to their ideology and loyal to Rynmere's current laws and policies.

Otherwise, he is a man of unique tastes, allegedly spending a great deal of his nels investing into businesses many would consider taboo, such as brothels, drug dens, distilleries and gambling houses. Regardless of his penchant for slavery and his obsession with the nigh-illegal, the man is considered to be a kind and honest gentleman, fond of many at Novilane's court.

Lena Chicasaw, Treasurer of Novilane, has been a ruling authority in the Barony of Novilane for the past seven years. Given her position largely due to nepotism, her father was quite scandalously known in several corners of the Duchy as the hidden lover of Baroness Willow of House Venora. There are some among Novilane's elite circle who claim she is the lovechild of the two, largely due to a "miscarriage" had by Willow around the time of Lena's birth. However, this is vehemently denied by both Willow and Lena.

Though her position was given as a show of favor, the Treasurer has proven since her employment that she is an excellent treasurer, capable of budgeting the Barony to a surplus even with the poor spending habits of the former Baroness, Willow. She has taken part in several keen investments that have built up manufacturing businesses in Oxentide, and one of her primary interests of late - with great success - has been the creation of suburban villages directly neighboring Oxentide to host a larger population of middle to upper class citizens, creating small and large business owners to employ the large sum of Oxentide's residents.

Personality-wise, Lena is generally quiet and tends to obey authority. However, when she is passionate or knowledgeable on a topic, the woman is known to be firm, resounding and articulate. Many find her quite intimidating, though few among Novilane's council have all too strong an opinion on her. She is simply there, and has been there for some time.

Tamlen von Sien

Tamlen, once a member of Uthaldria's Alsingarde - their intelligence organization - is Spymaster of Novilane, known to be one of the greatest intelligence organizers of Rynmere.

As Spymaster of Novilane, Tamlen has dealt with - for a long time - affairs dealing in the scandal of the former Baroness Willow of House Venora. From covering up romantic affairs to intimidating the victims of her arbitration into silence, the man has shown his wit and his haste in preventing a grievous and inhospitable reputation among his liege. For this reason, the von Sien has always been seen as a reactive Spymaster, watching over the actions of Oxentide's elite and ensuring House Venora always comes out ahead, regardless of the trifles and foolery of the leader he serves.

But despite this loyal and protective reputation, the advisors of the Baron have always known something else of the man - he desires more. Tamlen has sought to join the nobility from his days as a youth, previously courting the Baroness in an attempt to acquire her hand in marriage. Since the ascension of Kaleb Venora nee Fate, the two have lived as rivals, the Spymaster desperately seeking to kick down the man from his position of authority. It is for this reason that Tamlen has never left or risen from his position as Spymaster of Novilane, with the Venora Lord keeping him in a singular position, never to rise.

But Tamlen's fire burns still, and of late, he has begun to seek other ways to join the ruling elite. With the ascension of Alistair, the man has a plan to truly modernize Oxentide - form a parliamentary council in the area, with himself as the helm, the Baron presiding over in quiet, content to allow his subjects their endless prattling while Ser von Sien expands his influence throughout the Baron's realm.

[Rynmere] Development Thread

Improvement of Endor information
I had look at the family tree for Endor. There's five males in the third generation open for claiming.

I think one reason for why people haven’t made Endors can be the vagueness of their racial position. The family was maybe sort of "racially blocked" for a long period of time due to one PC which had green skin and looked totally qi'ora despite mainly human genes (85%). I know I felt it didn't make sense IC to me. In my opinion the physically frail qi'ora doesn't match the Endor lore at all. If there's qi'ora genes back in the days, this shouldn't manifest by frailty or green skin as that isn't survival factors exactly, but a PC could gain invisible things like an increased ability to store water (and look plumper as a consequence) or talent for crafting.

For the sake of variety and more clarity I imagine the family to have a colorful background. Due to all the international trade I think it can IC make sense with a multi-racial inheritance. I think The Duke of Endor is an even mix of five different races. I call it “Allsorts” and imagine it to mean (20% Biquaj, 20% Human, 20% Lotharro, 20% Qi’ora 20% Sevryn).

Hey. So, being very mixed is simply "mixed-blood", even if you have 5% of every race. You can specify like: "Mixed Blood: Ellune, Aukari, Qi'orra, Human". However, I would prefer "mixed-blood" to be the category - it could be confusing otherwise.

Additionally, Lotharro are not capable of being mixed blood. Their genes are incredibly dominant - almost all children born to a Lotharro father will be a Lotharro, and as a result, a male. If their child is a female, it will have no manifestations of the Lotharen gene whatsoever.

I do appreciate your suggestion, and you're right, it's unlikely that many Endor would have green skin/etc with a very small amount of Qi'orra blood. However, my suggestion is to then submit the older generation Endor as NPCs and handle these issues by that method. Feel free to PM me with any questions - thanks!

Barony of Astedia

Population: Very High (Andaris is highly populated compared to the other duchies and this is at an important geographical location)

Overview of the Barony

Astedia sits in the south western corner of Andaris, nestled against the Bay of Cyrene. It is a thriving and rich area within the Andaris duchy. The Barony of Astedia is usually overseen by the first in line for the title of Duke or Duchess, as it is of vital importance to the economy of the Duchy for its placement in the Bay and it's focus on producing fine goods which are sold onward.

The Barony itself combines the rich towns and centers for learning with some of the fertile Andaris farmlands, along its eastern border. It requires careful handling as a Barony as there are very diverse needs between the farming communities and the bustling towns and cities. Keeping both groups in mind and juggling the urban / rural nature of the Barony is the key challenge.

Drakengard

Drakengard is a beautiful town, with buildings constructed from glistening white stone and the Andaris attention to detail in architecture. It is a bustling and busy place which is well known for two distinct things; the smithing industry and the medical centers of learning and production of medicine.

The master smiths who work in the Drakensmit, producing beautiful weapons and gleaming armour. Existing and aspiring smiths come from all over Rynmere to study and work here, learning from and working with the best. This leads to a number of schools training in the use of weapons. In parallel to this focus on weapons, the Verne Andaris Medical School sits on the edge of the town with large herb gardens and forests attached to it, just outside the town walls. In the Medical School the boundaries of medicine are constantly studied and pushed.

Downsides

The focus on these two things means that Drakengard does not produce sufficient food to remain sustainable and relies on the importing of food for its citizens. It is not a town which attracts tourists, per se, although there are a high number of visitors per arc. These visitors tend to be coming for the Drakensmit or the Medical School. Tourists are much more likely to be seen in Vernevia, a coastal town past the eastern sides of Astedia's borders, with a focus on producing luxury foods and a number of historical buildings. Whilst it is outside the barony, it is important to the place as Vernevia is a center for tourism.

As the barony which is nestled on Cyrene Bay and since it shares a boundary with its Venora neighbour, Astedia is in a unique position. The trade routes into Rynmere focus on Cyrene bay and so there is the constant push and pull of political negotiation between Astedia and Novilane. Also, those who wish to attack trade routes are often in the waters nearest one of these two baronies and so Astedia is front line in terms of having to defend against pirates and privateers.


Astedia Estate

This large manor house is the estate of the residing Baron of Astedia. White stone gleams from it and inside the grand entrance opens into a large hall with a double sweeping staircase, large chandeliers and white marble floors. Set in beautiful grounds, this estate is a place very much of two parts.

To those who visit, Astedia Estate is as would be expected for a Barony estate. It is large and opulent with a dining room which can comfortably sit fourty, a ballroom and a lot of marble and ornamentation. There are five large bedrooms and everything appears to be very ostentatious. However, the 'family wing' is just that ~ a four bedroom annex which sits in the existing manor from the outside but which is closed off from the rest of the house if the family wish it. In the family wing the rooms are comfortable and much more functional, a lounge, small dining room, kitchen and study are on the ground floor, with the next two floors being taken by bedrooms ~ the master suite has a small nursery off it and there is a playroom between two of the smaller bedrooms, accessible from both. Whilst undoubtedly still luxury to many, this place is focused on comfort and being able to be lived in, rather than ostentatious statements.

The main estate is staffed by a staff of servants with only the most trusted being asked to work in the family wing.

Her job is the careful consideration of public opinion; she arranges for the residing Baron or Baroness to attend functions, invites people to the estate and deals with any and all matters which might be of a somewhat... 'delicate' nature. From overseeing how to handle a scandal to presenting the very best of House Andaris, the Mistress of the Nursery is there to ensure that all the children in Andaris have a strong and healthy nobility to look forward to.

Louise happens to actually be good with children and so looks forward to being able to stay close to the Andaris family as the new Baroness weds and then starts her family.

However, Lin always has a number of blades hidden about her person and she is Celeste's last line of defence.

Lin is a quiet woman who tends to try and blend into the background. However, her looks mean that she is quite noticeable. However, she is pleased that a new Baroness is entering Astedia as it allows her to ply her skills once more.

Description As the Chief of Security, Tam has responsibility for the security of Astedia, Drakengard and the household. He is a quiet and intense individual with a strong sense of humour. With a clearly military mind, Tam's actions and advise are always militaristic in manner. In many ways, that is his greatest strength and weakness; he is very focused on military and combat matters and tends to have a very martial standpoint. He is very good at planning military campaigns and so on, with a keenly tactical mind and a tendency to be able to see downfalls or problems very quickly.

Tam has served the Andaris family since he was a young boy and he is proud to wear Andaris colours. He is slow to anger and has a very strong sense of discipline and personal honour.

He is a shrewd and calculating individual who is loyal to the Andaris family, having served them all of his life.

Trade, trade routes, imports and exports are his concern and William has an overview and deputies at a Barony, town and house level and a real attention to detail. He does not treat the Andaris money as though it is his own, but he almost does ~ certainly, he seems to know where every copper goes.

Description: Phillipe vonFranc is very well aware that his role is pivotal to the good functioning of Astedia. He is the Head of Staff which means that he oversees all staffing issues in the Astedia Estate, with everyone from the groundskeeper to the head butler being under his purview. He runs the estate like a well oiled machine and he functions as a spider in a centralised web. He has a network of informants and he, more than anyone, knows the value of listening to the gossip of servants and whispers of slaves.

Phillipe is, or appears to be, the very epitome of a gentleman and he is proud to say that his family has served House Andaris for many generations now. His father served Celeste's father and his grandmother served her grandfather. He is loyal to the family and for all of the secrets that he knows, he is very careful in what he says and to whom. With an overview of Drakengard, Astedia and Andaris in terms of intelligence operatives, he has many who report to him that only he knows. His wider network, outside of Andaris lands, he cultivates carefully and reports to the Baroness directly.
