Hi! Few questions I wanted to post in the Q and A forum instead of having them answered privately so they can benefit others.
1. How much do half-Eidisi take after their parent? Do they have the blue skin, the white eyes, all that jazz?
2. What color is their blood? Do they bleed red like humans do, or is their blood blue? Basically, do they blush blue or purple?
3. Is their eyesight in any way impaired by the lack of visible pupils/irises?
4. Since it's so easy for Eidisi to learn new languages, do they get three at start or only two? Do half-Eidisi have the same ease in language learning?

Eidisi Interrogation
Hello Riz!
Great questions.. the answers will not be so great, but it's given me food for thought!
1. The trouble with mixed races always comes down to what races are mixing, and what features are dominant. In real-world terms, albino qualities (I use this term loosely as it's the best way to describe the nature of the eídisi compared to, for example, the Naerikk) such as skin tone, hair colour and eyes, are recessive genes. It follows, then, that the physical make-up of a half-blood eídisi would also be lost.
In the case of the ellune, they also have many recessive genes, so it could go either way. For others, the skin colour of the non-eídisi would control much of what the results are of a half-blood's physical appearance. I might suggest that an ellune-eídisi mix would have a metallic grey quality to a blue-purple hue. Hair would almost definitely not be white, though.
2. Their blood is blue without oxygen and red with it... much like humans. For the most part, their biology is no different. Except that a first gen eídisi has to die three times to become one! So they would blush a purply shade. Though remember that some eídisi can be a periwinkle shade, which is close to purple, so they might actually blush a pinkish colour.
3. No, their eyesight is as good as any normal human. I don't think I ever specified an actual eye colour in the KB. I will fix that. Eye colour will range from pale blue through white, and is not marred by any visible blood vessels. But their eyesight is not affected by this
4. Full eídisi have the option to start with two fluent languages and one conversational one (one extra fluent language to the normal starting package). For half-bloods... well it would be wrong to not allow any racial ability from their background, but it would also be wrong to offer two racial abilities from two races. I think it would depend on the background and the races involved. But in your case, given the nature of the ellune, it is very feasible that you PC would have the capabilities to have the multilingualism like any full-blooded eídisi.
Hope this helps... if you need more information, throw more questions at me - is good to think the race through like this!

Thanks very much for the answers! I'd like to propose a racial ability: one fluent language and two...what term are we using? The other level. >.> In my case it'd be Common at fluent level and Leni/Ancient at...the other level. >.>
Do the Ellune have a defined racial ability yet?
