The Dig Site
The dig site is so far below ground that the light from the sun cannot reach it.
'Trust in Treid.' The words are scrawled deep on a piece of ice and illuminated by blue 'ice lights'. It has remained there for as long as many of the diggers remember, and it is shifted about as they move further downward. One of the Ellune elders sits upon the ice as the diggers work around her. She touches the rock below with her fingers and closes her eyes, her lids move as she searches with all her being for Treid's heart beat. She opens her eyes. Nothing. She is not disappointed for there is hope in the look she gives. Her fingers slip back to the rock again...
The diggers cut lines into the rock like trenches, and once they are done, they cut against the trenches to break free large chunks of rock. Gears turn and a tray begins to arrive from above. A ding sound from the bell nearby resounds and the tray stops moving. The rock is quickly loaded in a great heap on the tray, just in time for another ding. The gears begin to turn again and the tray rises up to the bridge above. The Ellune diggers continue their work...
