Howdy, folks!
So, in case you haven't already seen, the Lore of Viden has had a complete overhaul, along with a nice shiny coat of paint! I hope you like it, and I hope the new physical structure of the city (IC, not OOC) makes it much more inviting! Haha.
However I need your help. If you head towards the end of the Lore, you'll notice that some bits are still missing... namely the feelings of the Videnese citizens when it comes to other races, cities, Immortals and, of course, types of magic. Now.. I know I'm this super-duper awesome person and everything, but so much of my energy is thrown into the cities I run, and players I moderate for, that my knowledge is actually really sparse when it comes to some things... especially magic. Of course, I could learn all the things, and speak to other staff.. and write something down...
But you guys, the amazing players, no doubt know loads more than me! So, here's how you can help me! If you have a PC who is in another city, or adores an Immortal, or is some weird-and-wonderful race, or uses a magic, and you think you have a good idea of how Viden would react to those things, please let me know! Would definitely help me to no end! Otherwise I'ma populate the stuff with really boring details.. Viden will have no enemies and everything will be jolly!
...and no one wants that, right?

So... it seems we have been lumped with honoured with the presence of Djinn in Viden! Djinn left us a while back and now he has returned, fresh and ready for the world. He will be splitting his time here with Rhakros, and I have no doubt that he will rise to the challenge of helping both cities become what they are meant to be. Djinn is one of the most talented writers I have ever come across, both in development and with his PCs and moderated threads - trust me, you will not be disappointed with what he can bring to the table!
So... please join me in welcoming him to Viden!
Linika... I guess you're gonna get all the attention thrown at you. Tell me... how much do you value your freedom?

Well you know, my poor PC isn't exactly welcome back in her home because of... reasons relating to the best Immortal ever Audrae, so all I can do is memory threads. BUT BUT BUT, I have plans for Inali, Edalene, and Aeodan to post some memory threads in there. So far, we're talking about them coming to partake in language lessons in Viden, but they get there a few weeks late and have to settle for whatever cut rate tutor they find in the library (read: Inali). There will also be EXTREME jealousy of Aeo's mark (because seriously, a human got marked and he can't even speak Ancient and ughhh).
@Linika: You should talk to Aeo and Eda - I'd love to see how some pampered Rynmere natives interact with a Naer. This will be in 715, fyi.

Now, Whisper darling, we agreed to keep the expectations low, remember? I can't have all the people wanting to rub my lamp.
But legitimately, guys, I'm super happy to be back and even more pumped to be right here in the frozen north. I love what Whisper's got here, and am incredibly grateful she let me be a part of the team. That being said, if you want to get maimed and/or have all your dreams twisted horribly, hey, I'm Djinn.
And Linika? You won't make it out alive... Not without a price.

Gods I'm so sorry.
But as soon as his CG stuff is settled I plan to have Cassian settle down in Viden permanently. At least until his untimely demise. Before that happens you'll have to live with him though.
Under these circumstances I'm not sure if a welcome is in good taste.
Okay he's probably not as bad as Linika from what I've seen. But I wouldn't ever admit that.
