Hi there! I'm Yrae (Name Pending), and I'm joining as an Avriel. I was introduced to this site just today, and I've been making my way through the established information as I create my character. I'm excited to see the site open so we can all start adventuring.

I am from Canada, in Saskatchewan, and I've done roleplay for years now on a forum as well as years before on chat sites. I saw a few other super cool races I'd like to try out, but for now I'm content with Avriel.

Welcome to Standing Trials, Yrae! I'm glad to see we're already attracting people. BTW, we got the issue where the Avriel weren't appearing in the race selecting thing in the profile field sorted out, so you should be able to select them now. If you don't mind my asking, what drew you to the Avriel as a race?

Well, first I'll be completely honest. I like the name you chose for yourself; basilisks are some of my favourite mythical creatures, so that stands out to me.

I chose the Avriel because their psychology drew me right in. I have a weakness for bestial races, particularly those with an actual animal part to them. Their appearance is a complexity I'm currently trying to work on as I hunt down a model to use, but it's not even the bad sort of complexity. I really like it, and especially since they are similar to angels without actually being angels.

Terribly sorry for the delayed response, I've been busy the last two days. And thanks, I like my name too! Snakes are just about my favorite animal and the Basilisk is the King of Seprents...although it started out as a sort of chicken...thing. Not nearly as cool that way though.

And yeah, models are always hard to get for characters, I'm really bad at it myself. >_> And yeah, the Angel issue is actually a huge part of the reason I started the Avriel as a race, though Jade did most of the work for them later on.
