The sudden influx of new people into Etzos has me in a particularly giddy mood.

With the advent of the Language Loyalty Bonus, many of you are going to get Ith'Ession at either Broken or Conversational level for your time spent in Etzos.

So, basically, if you began active role-playing in Etzos prior to mid-Ashan, 717, you may give yourself Ith'Ession at "Broken" level. If you've been dodging my malicious scheming for a full arc, you may have it at "Conversational".

It will never go higher as a result of this bonus. To get higher than this will require the conventional means of Ith'ession knowledge and xp spending, or through Linguistics levels. But Conversational should serve most needs.

Going by the Registry for those still current:

• Symbri - I find your oldest Etzos activity in late Zida, 716. "Broken" for you.
• Gangui - Same for you, Welcome back, and help yourself to "Broken"
• Doran - Your arrival at the gate was stamped Ashan 40, 717. "Broken" for you.
• Night - Was there any doubt? your arrival at the gate was Saun 10, 716. "Conversational" for you!
• Neronin - You also started in Zida, 716. "Broken" for you.
• Finn O'Connor - You started in early Ashan, running into Noth, but you took off for Uthaldria in Mid-Ymiden.
  Unless you come back for a month or so, I can't quite give it to you.
• Noth - You too. All the way back to Ymiden, 716. "Conversational" for you.
• Danielle - You started in mid-Ashan, but put several PH's in Ne'Haer in Ymiden.
  If you reorient yourself in Etzos, with a bit more activity, you could get "Broken" in a month or two.
• Moon - You have an Etzos thread back in Ashan. I realize that as a Mer, it's difficult to base a thread in an inland sea, despite the city's connection with the port city of Foster's Landing. I also see that you had bad luck with your partners.
  I'd need to see some activity that I could cut you some technical slack on.
  But there's also the issue of whether the learning of a spoken language is much use to a Mer.
• Nauta - I am not going to hold your "diplomatic ups and downs" against you. You have been in Etzos longer than anyone.
  You may either take "Conversational" Ith'Ession, OR raise your Common to Fluent, OR have Broken Ith'ession and Conversational Common by now.
  I'd still appreciate it if you'd arrange your knowledge list a bit better though.

I realize there are some folks who are active that I have not mentioned.
Sorry, none of you have been in Etzos long enough to gain this bonus.

Up Next, Kyin!

Our newest and next troublemaker, Kyin, is proposing a TALENT SHOW for the flamboyant citizenry of glorious Etzos!
In addition to putting up the 200gn himself, he will be guest modding this fiasco...magnificent event!

That's right, you heard right. I will be giving you a break from the Lewis Parren level of deceit and manipulation, embodied in "Step Right Up", and trusting this newcomer to do the job for me.

...besides, Lewis Parren is dead, so I had no choice...

Three things to consider:
First, 200gn is hardly a King's ransom, but who knows what may transpire to up those stakes.

Second, the IC object is not truly to display the greatest talent, but rather, to amuse the host, Kyin, to the greatest degree.
A visually spectacular pie-in-the-face may win out over a brilliantly performed orchestral masterpiece.

Lastly, I'm not sure how a single performance, win or lose, might enable the the full three posts we all strive for in such events, but again, who knows what may transpire.

So, good luck to you all, and may...whatever that weird gal in "Hunger Games" said...uh...be true for you.

OH Whoops, One more thing. You may feel free to employ any NPCs you control, OR you may crank out one or two NPCs just for this to help you out.

There will be three prizes, all based on the whimsical merits judged by Kyin himself.
