40th Zi'da, 716
Everything was ready, there was just one thing left to do. She'd waited weeks for this moment, Arcs flying by with seemingly no accomplishments to show for it, no achievements or trophies. But after a while, Rey stepped forward and changed that. She'd promised her mother she would become a monster, a creature of poison and disease to ruin Andaris and any enemies of Lissira - and now, with one more step, she would be.
She fastened the mask on, the leather straps at the back fitting near enough to perfectly. She lifted her hood, before walking to the mirror. A chuckle escaped her lips when she saw herself. Her leather tunic gave her some protection from falls and the like, but wasn't as good as armor. It would do, if all worked she wouldn't need protection from anything but her own diseases. Her black cloak ran down her and stopped just above her ankles, so it avoided tangling with her legs. Her black leather breeches paired well with the tunic, also matched by the boots and gloves.
The main source of contrast was her mask - a brown leather material. The theme of leather gave off a much more sinister tone than most items of clothing would, but they were uncomfortable, hence the cotton equivalents under both the tunic and breeches. It was more comfortable, which was going to be more than useful in her situation.

She reached in to her cloak and felt for the pockets. They were roomy enough to carry poison, exactly why she hoped to use them for. The only problem this outfit had was it's blatant appearance. Not that it mattered much, Rey didn't care for subtlety when her plan happened. Nobody could stop her if they were spluttering out their innards on the floor.
"If you can see me now, mother, I did it. I did what you asked" she said in to the mirror, hopeful Lissira was listening. "Now I'm to find a way to change my voice, and I'm set. I can do what you asked of me. I pray we will meet soon."

She undressed herself from the outfit and placed it back on her bed. She didn't need the attention where she was going. She had a 'friend' to meet.

Rey put on her black dress and old mask, with average shoes for ease. It was cold, but that didn't matter. She would look a little out of place, but the darkness would help mask her. She knew a little of her target, a small group of assassins she worked with helped her find him. She'd heard rumors of them and followed the rumors, before finding the people she was looking for. Now, her first assignment - she couldn't let them down.
She placed her daggers in their harness, under her knee-high dress. On her other thigh, she attached five throwing daggers. She was more than ready - just one more thing. She walked over to the small vial she had on her table. Scarf Rot - her personal favorite. Smear it on a blade, stab and the person was out cold. It made for an easy kill, and the target wouldn't know what happened. It was messy, but she'd be careful. There was one difference. Last time she used this, she was nude. This time, she would be somewhere public. She hoped her uniform wouldn't get stained, that would be hard to clean out - if she could. But she'd cross that when she came to it.

Rey made her way out of the house, vial in her pocket, weapons in place. She was ready. She'd killed before, this was nothing for her, but she felt nerves. Perhaps now because she was killing with a motive, a reason to kill that was more than just wanting to. If this went wrong, it would cost her everything - including her life. She couldn't let that be an option.
After a short amount of time, the graveyard was clear in site. She knew the man would be here, for sure - her new boss had told her. Why? Well, he dug up bodies allegedly, for one reason or another. When she asked, the boss said he would 'spare her the details'. She had no idea what that meant.

After some time of waiting outside the graveyard, Rey found her man. She was camouflaged by the shadows, her blue eyes hidden as much as possible so she didn't stand out. He eventually entered, and she waited. She needed a moment. This was it, the moment of truth. He had to die, and she had to do it. Her heart started racing, panic rising, until she had one thought that calmed her down - one she whispered aloud.
"For Lissira."

Watching the man carefully, Rey finally decided to make her approach. He was cloaked, obviously, why wouldn't he be? The question was, how did she go about the kill? He was a dangerous man, probably a lot more dangerous than she was. But she had to do this, for both Lissira and her new group of assassins. She had to prove she could do this alone, and that she didn't need someone else.
She made her way in to the graveyard. It was eerier, making even her feel uncomfortable, as if the spirits of each grave were watching every step she made. It sent a chill down her spine, yet at the same time had a strange feel to it. More than what it normally would, like she genuinely wasn't alone and it was more than just a feeling. She didn't know if that was better or worse.

"Can I help you?" the man asked, facing her. Now she was in the spotlight. She froze for a second as his look pierced through her, as if it was staring through to her soul itself. Lissira, what was this man? She cleared her throat. How did she make it out of this alive? Of course, there was only one way. She prayed it worked.
She bowed her head to the man politely, shaking a little. "Sir...I was sent by a group of....assassins" she said fearfully. What was she doing? She kept her head low to show respect, at this point she even considered kneeling, but she didn't want to go too drastic just yet.
"I was sent to kill you, and I didn't want to. I couldn't..." she lied, shaking. She thought she sounded believable, what wasn't to believe about it? She was sent to kill him and didn't want to.

Her train of thought was interrupted by a sharp pain as her hair was pulled back and a hand put to her mouth to stop her screams. She looked up with fear to the man, an emotion she hadn't felt for what seemed like Arcs. Her eyes met his, and his stare was cold. Blank, even. What did he want?
"Don't lie to me, girl. Do you take me for an idiot? Where are the rest of them?" the man demanded. He moved his hand slightly. Rey stayed silent, considering her options. All it would take to get out of this was one thing - her dagger. She just needed the right moment.
So she screamed.

The man's elbow hit her in the stomach, hard, stopping her screams from leaving her mouth for longer than a trill. He knew, however, someone had heard it - he had to be fast. Rey dropped to the floor when he let go, landing on her back and starting to scramble away. He grabbed the back of her hair and pulled, his arm wrapping around her throat from behind. If she would just stop breathing, he thought.
Rey struggled, fear building up. She felt like a caged animal, frantic and driven mad by the restraint on her by this man. The more she struggled, the more she felt her breath fade away. What could she do? This man was stronger than her, scarily so. She had no chance. If only she could reach her knife.

Rey dropped to her knees, the man following her. The cold snow enveloped her legs and bit at her viciously. She ignored it, the adrenaline stopping most of the pain from affecting her. She leaned forward, reaching for the dagger under her dress. This man's grip on her was so tight, it hurt. She couldn't reach in time. Instead, she took a leaf from his book, her elbow flying back as fast as she could manage. The man doubled over, losing his grip on her immediately as he held his side.
Rey panicked, drawing the dagger and turning hectically. As she did she fell on her back, making more snow coat her. She was soaked and freezing, and she started to feel it. But her dagger was also in the snow, near enough to concealed. Her eyes fell to the man as he walked towards her, towering above her. She had one chance, one attempt at this, or it was the end of it all. The idea of it made her shake. She hadn't even thanked Fridgar for being her friend yet.
'No' she thought to herself. 'I need to tell him'.

Before the man could do anything to stop her, she flung herself forward with a cry of both panic and anger. As she did she drove the knife through his thigh, causing the man to scream in agony. Ignoring the blood, she decided to stop his scream like he had to her. She grabbed the knife and drove it again, going through the side of his throat, cutting off all oxygen and screams. But it wasn't enough. He'd hurt her, he'd hurt her and almost killed her before she could achieve any of her goals. He needed to die.
A few stabs later and Rey was coated in blood, her favorite dress ruined. She stood up and pulled the knife from the now dead man. But the feeling of being watched seemed to get worse. She needed to go, the kill was done and someone would arrive soon. She knelt down beside the man, her stomach still aching.

"Burn in hell, asshole" she said to him, before taking to an alley and making her way out of the city.

Hah! I remember you telling me about this thread and I see what you mean... Rey is bad. One tiny detail of housekeeping - and I had to check myself - it's Lisirra, not Lissira. Other than that, great job!
