This is the Expeditions, Exploration & Exchanges Board for Rynmere. Please note the following OOC rules, and check back regularly for any updates to the available explorations (listed below).
Viden's expansion into Scalvoris meant that Rynmere (with the university in Andaris' own links to the Viden Academy) also benefited from the growing relationship. Originally, they were much more skeptical about the new arrangement, due to their trade routes having suffered greatly at the hands of the Pirate Lords who had previously used the north-eastern island as a base. However the Kingdom, never one to miss out on the chances of making their own higher education establishment as great as the Academy, eventually agreed half way through Cylus 717 to participate in this ambitious endeavour. Therefore they have now instigated an "exploration board" of sorts, where individuals or groups may sign up to complete a specific task for a period of time. This is paid in kind by the arrival of inhabitants of Scalvoris and Viden, who are venturing to Rynmere for similar purposes.
OOC Rules:
The notices on this board are very varied ~ from rumours (which might be completely true or wildly inaccurate) to spaces on scientific expeditions, exploration of new territories or exchanges with the Viden Academy and Scalvoris Campus.
Each item on this board has a location ~ some of these are not in Rynmere

Many of these opportunities can be used for Job Threads, if applicable. Please note ~ if you are going to use this as a job thread, it must meet the criteria for that as well as the specific criteria for the item itself.
Some expeditions may be "all expenses paid" - which means that you do not have to pay for any living expenses for the allocated time of the exploration! Please read the advertisement carefully and confirm with a Prophet of Rynmere, Scalvoris or Viden, who will add this detail to your Player Notes Thread.
Most explorations relevant to Viden will be posted here, however it is always worth checking the Scalvoris and Viden boards, so you don't miss out on other exciting opportunities!

Name: The Ice Caves of Ishalltr Item Type: Exploration Location: Ishalltr, Scalvoris Details: The ice caves in Scalvoris are a site of many varied flora, fauna and materials. Zach, expedition leader of the Ishallr Exploration is seeking hearty and brave individuals to help map and explore the cave system. Many and varied skills might be useful, but you must be prepared for the harsh climate you will be exposed to. Applicants will be interviewed by a scholar of the Institute of Science in the Viden Academy. OOC Requirements/ Notes: OOC Note: this can range from a single thread, multiple threads or be a moderated thread. Depending on which you choose will determine the rate of pay. Any of the above can be solo or collaborative. Name: Archaeological Crisis! Item Type: Adventure Location: Immortals Tongue, Scalvoris Details: Two groups of archaeologists have disappeared from digs on Immortals' Tongue on Scalvoris. The Academy, along with local military and local government on Scalvoris have requested adventurers, scholars and those with skills which might be useful to sign up to find out what has happened. Name: Culture Clash Item Type: Exchange Location: Scalvoris Campus (Viden Academy) Details: With the influx of varying cultures from all over Idalos, Scalvoris has become the epitome of a cultural melting-pot. Because of this, going to Scalvoris has a unique opportunity for people of a variety of careers, hobbies and interests (including linguists, minstrels and actors) to learn more and hone their skills by infusing their arts with the experiences of different cultures - without actually having to visit any of those cities! New arrivals to Scalvoris seem keen and willing to share their knowledge with the world. Anyone undertaking such an exciting journey will surely reap the benefits. Name: Couriers of Lissira PCs Involved So Far: Kylar & Atashi (more places available) Item Type: Rumour Location: Scalvoris (based in Almund but all over the island) Details: As the mists cleared, the once uninhabitable land became much more hospitable. And with this, came the discovery of new flora and fauna. Many are currently still left undiscovered, and any budding explorer should jump at the opportunity of fame at discovering something so new. Name: Yvithia's Retribution Item Type: Rumour Location: Viden Details: After the tumultuous events of seasons just past, rumour begins to spread of Yvithia's rage at the attempted attack on her beloved. Further to these rumours spreads one that she has set her academics on discovering more about these Shadow Beasts, as well as opening up further spaces in the publicly known department of the Facility of Retrospective Analysis (the part trying to revive Treid). Rynmere suffered heavy damage due to the Immortals' War, and Yvithia has decreed the doors be open to the most desperate of souls, those who will help her to uncover the mysteries. OOC Requirements/Notes: Yvithia will be interviewing applicants herself, and has access to the individual's mind, therefore honest intentions are a necessity. Hazard Level: Medium Timeframe: 1 or 2 Cycles Spaces: 2 (individual or pair) Pay/ Reward: The expedition is sponsored by the Viden Academy: the PC will pay no expenses during the season this is undertaken.
