There was no doubting that he was kind and Vega looked at Ti'niva with a grateful expression. She wondered if all Sev'ryn were like him or if he was unusual. He offered to keep her alive and she smiled, "That's kind. I just.... I've lived all my life on the ocean. To sleep in a building every night for so long, it feels like it might be a prison. Just, trapped in one place. It probably sounds silly to you." Her eyes were violet as she imagined what sleeping under a roof would be like constantly, in one place, bound to it. It sounded awful. "I am a poor sailor, but there is freedom on the sea. I would not want to lose that freedom to a prison of wood and walls." Vega shrugged and moved on. He wouldn't understand, she was sure. He was not Biqaj.

When he offered to help her again, Vega considered very carefully and then nodded. "Thank you. I would appreciate that. I can teach you some Rakahi, if you like. Biqaj language. Or, anything I can teach, really. But, I don't know if you can help with this?" Vega reached into her pocket and brought out a piece of parchment. It was a letter, carefully folded and cared for. The well-cared for state of the parchment was a testimony to how important it was to the young halfbreed. Whilst he read it, she stood and went to cancel the room she had booked.

"It says who my mother's family are here. Do you know them?" She had an expression of hopefulness in her eyes as she looked at him and she wondered if, perhaps, the people who were in that letter might be able to tell her more about who she was, where she came from. More about the woman who her father had grieved for since the night she was born and who had died in the birthing. "You're very kind, Ti'niva. Thank you." She spoke quite genuinely and looked at him with a hopeful gaze. "Oh, and do I need to buy supplies? I have only what you see, really."

Vega's skin has a reflective metallic sheen with a red glow. Her eyes still swirl biqaj colours, but one colour is always bright red which glows like fire. She has a bright red glow in her chest, situated directly under the mark of a heart (Daia mark) in the middle of a glowing silver dragon on her chest (Xiur). She's unnaturally warm to the touch

Ti'niva's face went as red as roses when she handed him the letter. He suddenly felt ashamed of himself, it had been so long since reading and writing was last an issue. He looked at the lines on the paper intensely whilst she was away, he couldn't make anything of the writing. His blush was now like some kind of forest berry as she returned. He looked up at her and tried to force down his embarrassment. "I no read." He said looking down at the ground and holding the letter back towards the woman. He hated that he was still illiterate, but he had never been taught and the truth was he had never had reason too. Yet, at points like these he still felt inferior to others, like he was someone worse for it.

Luckily she appeared to explain what it was saying. Her mothers family, they lived here in Desnind, she wished to search for them. "What her name? I maybe know." He asked really wanted to help her and he would do it in any way he could. "I ask elders if I know no." he was sure the elders could shed some light on the situation if he were to ask them. They were wise and the oldest Sev'ryn he had no doubt that if anyone could help it would be them.

She asked about supplies, something he was not sure about how to answer yet. "No really, maybe blankets and big coat, it get cold in forest." He said with a smile thinking of that for certain. They would hunt for food, that had been how he survived most of his life and therefore this was how he would sustain the two of them. "We hunt food, cost no Nel and make time used." He smiled again thinking of hunting, it was something he had missed in his time away from Desnind.

He stood and readied himself to leave, they should leave now if she wished to buy some items before they headed out. "When you ready. We go out." He was ready of course, all his belongings were still at his camp and not with him. He wondered if she was truly ready to live in the wilderness, it was certainly not an easy life. However, she seemed to prefer it to the idea of being inside the Inn and he could not blame her the wild did call to him too, but in a different sense.

Vega looked at him and her face fell, her own cheeks blushing and her eyes swirling in a variated mass as she realised what she had done. "I'm sorry, Ti'niva, I shouldn't have assumed. It is not your language. It was rude to assume, I'm sorry." Vega looked genuinely contrite as she spoke. She took the letter back from him and smiled. "It is from my mother's sister, Najina, to my father. She wants to meet me and teach me the Way of the People, she says. My father tells me that the family are well respected here, but his mouth is sealed about my mother, he does not speak of her." It was a source of constant frustration to the young halfbreed, but she said nothing more.

Blankets and a coat? Vega nodded. "Will you show me where we can? I have survived in cold before, it is not an easy life to be Biqaj, I know some survival techniques. And my bow will help with hunting." She nodded her head and hoped that the offence she had caused had not lingered.

"I'm ready. If you are sure that you do not mind? It is kind, very kind of you. I'm grateful." Vega smiled at him and stood. "Blankets, then?" She was quite content to go and do the shopping needed before heading to the camp. They could deal with the Aunt stuff once they were there and settled, she thought. It wasn't like it was going to make any difference waiting a few trials.
