Born to the modestly wealthy clan Qa'Jeral, Lirqyth was a dedicated daughter and shrewd business woman. Arranging a marriage between she and the son of a rival clan, her father Pyrim attempted to convince the girl that the marriage/merger between the two shipping merchant clans would be best for all involved. Flatly refusing the proposal, Lirqyth stated directly that she would only ever bind herself to a man of her own choosing, and only ever out of love.
When moored in Andaris for repairs Lirqyth first met Toby Porter. Despite the huge age and race difference, Lirqyth immediately became infatuated with the human farmer. Beginning a secret relationship via letter and the annual visit to Andaris, Lirqyth would oppose her fathers schemes for two arcs. This was until early in the arc of 702 when it was discovered that Lirqyth was pregnant.
Disowned by her father the young woman returned to Andaris alone. She wed Toby three days later. On the 29th of Saun of that arc, Lirqyth would give birth to twins. The boy she named after her father, Pyrim. The girl would be named after her mother, Myrira. Though sadly the little girl died in child birth.
Lirqyth was never the stereotype of Biqaj. Soft spoken and calm, she is also fiercely independent and dedicated to her family. There is no greater joy to the woman than being a mother and wife. Quick witted, she is the other half of Toby and their business, and together they live a peaceful life on their farm. Still, she recognize and dreads Toby's advancing years and misses the wide open oceans of her youth. With a warm and soft grace the noble woman carry's on. Her place is with her husband. And with her son. And she would rather it no other way.

Toby never wanted to be a farmer. In truth there was nothing more horrifying than the idea of spending his entire life bound to a single place. Since a boy he had dreamed of wandering Idalos and drinking all the sweetness she had to offer. But his place was in Andaris and on his fathers growing farmstead.
For many years Toby had not married. Not so much unlucky in love, is was that Toby just could not bring himself to feel that deeply for any woman he courted. And though rumors abound as to his bachelor way, Toby ignored those that would rebuke him. His was a simple and content life, even if a lonely one, concentrating his efforts on the continued growth of his farm. He felt a special sense of purpose in his destiny and how vital he was, in his small way, to the people of his nation.
When Toby first met Lirqyth he had no idea what to think. Here was a woman so strange to him, and so beautiful, and so sharp, he was flabbergasted that she would choose to have anything to do with him. Very quickly Toby knew he had fallen in love. For arcs their distant relationship would continue, each new letter bringing them ever closer. But it was not enough. Toby, in an act of stunning selfishness, gave Lirqyth the ultimatum. Marry him or he could no longer continue their relationship.
To this day Toby still feels extreme guilt over the turmoil he caused to his love and her clan, and every day he tries to demonstrate this regret. He is a dedicated man. A loving husband and father, driven by his desire to everyday make the world a happier place for his wife and son.

Pyrim Porter is the son of Lirqyth and Toby Porter. Growing up a half blood was not particularly difficult for Pyrim his mother and father were careful to teach the boy both the ways of the Humans and the Biqaj. Some, maybe, would have found themselves in some limbo state between both worlds. But not Pyrim who always took his mixed heritage in stride. Extremely sociable, intelligent, confidant, and the boy is a prime of example of what good parents can achieve with little. Still, he is a teenage boy. Flirtatious and perhaps a touch overconfident, Pyrim is dreamer by nature.
As many boys his age, Pyrim has aspirations to join the Moseke Knights or U’frek Sailors. The promise of adventure calling to his age and Biqaj blood. And though his parents would love nothing more than to see the boy achieve these dreams, they have been forced to set a course for him which he rather not sail. Taken out of schooling early, his father Toby needed the boys hand on the family farm. And though Pyrim misses his friends greatly, he knows that it will only be a few short years before he is able to set out and make his own way in the world.
