Welcome to the Rynmere Development Thread!

All PCs interact with their environments, thus all players are invested in the cities they RP in. Why, then, should we as staff be so selfish as to stop you from helping us to build this beautiful world that a part of us all lives in? All development projects must be approved by a Prophet... but, trust me, as long as you haven't developed a spaceship which crash-landed... we're all pretty easy going!

Here, you can post ideas and creations you have for Andris and the island of Rynmere. There are many things you can develop, whether it be a new Location, a City NPC, or even some new Flora & Fauna. Templates for these commonly developed (and needed) items are below. But that is by no means a complete list of things that can be added to Rynmere, so if you have an idea for anything else... feel free to post them here also! Games, sayings, celebrations, fables, even snippets from one of the many tomes kept in the Prime Atheneum, they're all welcome!

Other Information: The son of a peasant pig farmer, Hector had little taste for ranching and farm animals. Once he was old enough, he applied to the Xiur Skyriders and was accepted. Possessing no real talent for combat or leadership, Hector's hard work and perseverance eventually let him achieve the rank of major. No longer interested in reaching higher ranks, he instead focuses on training new members so that may reach the best of their abilities. Rides a male Volareon with a dusk pattern. Uses a long sword and heater shield with a chain-mail armor.

Other Information:An ex-major in the Xiur Skyriders, Valkyr was known as a loose cannon and a sadist, who enjoyed inflicting pain on others. Her inability to keep to orders eventually led to an attempt to arrest her, but she fought her way free of the Skyriders who had been sent to capture, taking her skills and her Volareon deep into the mountains where she was recruited by Faction VII and given the name Valkyr. Despite being trained in command, Valkyr has only made it to lieutenant within Faction VII due to her relative newness, her military background, and her loose cannon nature. Uses a spear and a round shield in combat, generally fights from the back of her dusk colored Volareon.

Other Information: A colonel in the Xiur Skyriders, Victor served the military long and faithfully, giving them most o his life. But when his Volareon was captured by rogues, they wouldn't give him the men he needed to rescue it, leading to the death of his faithful mount. Feeling that his government had betrayed him, Victor quietly left and made his way to Faction VII, where he was accepted into their ranks. Not afforded a rank beyond lieutenant due to his advanced age and military past, he was given the name Victor, having shed his birth name. Uses an axe and a tower shield in combat, though now largely stays in the background.

Other Information: The son of a blacksmith from Venora, as a youth James Creed was witness to a raid on his village from the savage bandits known as Faction VII. Hidden in a barrel by his mother to keep him safe, James watched the brigands violate and torture his parents before they finally killed them, the sight awakening within the boy a fiery rage that was of such strength that he would never again know true calm, only periods where he kept his wrath under control until he could unleash it upon those who deserved his fury. Joining the knights at the earliest opportunity, James rose quickly through the ranks, his fury granting him a natural skill in combat. Wields a broadsword and spiked heater shield in combat, backed up with a pair of clawed gauntlets in case of emergency.

Other Information: Born and raised off the coast of Gawyne, Ryven is from a clan with a long history of service to the Rynmere navy. A proud member of this legacy, Ryven was onto a navy ship as soon as he was old enough to apply. While not a natural at combat, Ryven is known for his tenacity and duplicity, his deceptive tactics having sunken many a pirate ship in his day. However, he is an impatient man who has no patient for those who question his command or are slow or clumsy to act. Uses a cutlass and buckler in battle.

Other Information: Very few know or care who Valkyrie was before she joined Faction VII, and even those who do know confess that it matters little. The daughter of a small farming family, Valkyrie and her twin sister found little appeal in farming and were feared as bullies by their neighbors due to a love of violence, Valkyrie in particular being known for unprovoked attacks. All this eventually boiled to a head on the twins 15th birthday when they decided to give each other a special gift. Having been "given" her mother, Valkyrie savagely murdered her with the families wood chopping axe, hacking her mother into several large pieces. After this, the twins left for the mountains where they were recruited by Faction VII and placed under the command of Valkyr, which reasoned into their new names. Valkyrie uses a broadaxe in battle in conjunction with a kite shield and is one of the members who helps smuggle supplies through Warrick to Faction VII, mainly acting as security alongside her sister Valkyria.

Other Information: Growing up the son of a drinker and a whore, Evan Payne knew very little love in his life. Always decried as an unwanted burden, Evan turned to brawling at a young age, using it as an outlet for his pent up frustration. Seeing him fight, James Creed, then a Knight, challenged him to a brawl and placed a bet on it: If James won the fight, Evan would join the military. James won the fight and Evan kept his word. The knights proved a different world for the troubled young man, finally giving him a place where he was not only accepted, but welcomed. This gave him a loyalty to Rynmere that seems unwavering in it's resolve, along with a debt of gratitude and a friendship with James Creed, who is now his superior. Fights with a mace and a tower shield.

Name: Ciethla Ryndaris (Name is a fusion of Rynmere and Andaris, as per Ithecal naming tradition clashing with the noble house names. Foreign Ithecal tend to call her Ciethla Rynmere or Ciethla Andaris out of confusion.)

Other Information: Born to immigrants from Yithiral, Ciethla is a child of two worlds, imbued with both the principles of Rynmere and the principles of Yithiral. This has led to some internal conflict in the young woman, as she dislikes Rynmere's classism and slavery policies, but still feels intensely loyal and protective of her home. However, she does truly possess an Ithecal's protective nature, something that showed itself very dramatically when she was 15. An attack on her village by Faction VII raiders led her parents out to fight alongside the army, while Ciethla herself was told to hide. However, several children had gotten away from their parents, leading the young Ithecal to chase after them. She was too late to prevent their capture by Faction VII, but, unwilling to simply leave them to their fates, Ciethla took up a foresters axe that had been left behind by a villager in his haste to protect his family and pursued the bandits. It didn't take her long to catch up to them, but they were more than a match for her, easily overpowering her and scarring her face. She kept fighting though, her unwillingness to yield almost costing Ciethla her life, and the brigands proved to be no match for Ciethla's rescuer. Her bravery had called to Ethelynda, who had originally appeared to grant Ciethla her blessing, but now took the field to defend both Ciethla and the children of the village. Once the raiders were dead, Ethelynda gave Ciethla Taithir, along with a suggestion to join the military if she planned on any further feats of heroism. Now, three Arcs later, Ciethla has taken that advice to heart and has joined the Moseke Knights as a Squire. Fights with a battle axe and kite shield, has a blue tail with red stripes.

Name: Vanaheim

Other Information: A gladiatorial slave, Vanaheim survived the fighting pits for a year, earning his freedom. As one might perhaps expect, his time spent fighting for other peoples amusement had not done wonders for either his mental stability or his love of Rynmere. Seeking out Faction VII immediately upon his release, Vanaheim was quickly accepted into their ranks and given his new name. Serving as part of the group that smuggles supplies through Warrick, Vanaheim fights using pair of spiked brass knuckles or, in a pinch, a jagged knife.

Other Information: The youngest daughter of Caleb and Hannah Endor, Madelyn is the farthest from the throne of the Endor duchy, a fact which rankled in the heart of the young noblewoman, a fact she could not accept. But accidents, by their very nature, are impossible to rely on, so Lady Madelyn turned her devious mind to other methods of advancement. Men, so easy to ensnare, became a natural source of information and favors, and poisons and a sharp dagger appealed to her for when more direct solutions were necessary. Ambitious, heartless, and merciless, Madelyn will stop at nothing to become the Duchess of Endor, and if she must murder her whole family to do it, so be it. However, what might prove to be the most dangerous weapon at her disposal is that she still maintains contact with her closes childhood friend, Ex-Skyrider Pythera Venora.
