It was interesting to see how Atashi reacted to his current state. Not only did the Ithecal seem to feel like he had to give Sintih some privacy while he dressed, something that was non existent in any military body, but he also cared too much for a person he had only just met this morning. Sin didn't count the altercation caused by Faith as a proper meeting. He was a little surprised that Emily seemed to trust Atashi enough to leave him behind to look after Sin while she was elsewhere occupied. Making sure he had all his belongings, Sintih listened to Atashi wonder about his own questions. Don't worry, my friend. I already know what you want to ask and I can tell you that I've answered them many times, even to people who I consider much less worthy of the answers than you."
Sin patted the Ithecal on the shoulder before stepping out with him. He was still impressed when he had to reach up to do that. Once they were outside, Atashi told him he had to return him to Emily, which was expected. "I won't hold it against you, I promise." Sintih smiled as he quickly looked around to find the general direction of the sky riders section of the camp and started walking in that direction. When Atashi asked his first question, Sin wondered where the man got his demeanor from. By all accounts, the man was a giant mass of muscle wielding a solid door as his weapon of choice. Why someone like that spoke so carefully about things was a mystery to him.
"For the first question, I have no problem speaking about them as they are as normal to me as your tail and size are to you. They've always been there, ever since I was born. It's a reminder of how the first of our kind suffered at the hands of our creator and how and why we came to be." There was very little that Sintih actually knew about Eídisi but his Uleudian training had him well prepared for this one. He didn't believe a word of it himself but the illusion took care of things for him. Despite his own views on the words he spoke, there wasn't even a hint of disbelief in his voice or features, as if it was the absolute truth to the young man.
"As for the second question, that's a little more involved. It's normal for me, personally, but I've never met another with a similar condition. I was born too early, which resulted in a whole lot of problems throughout my childhood and early adulthood. Most of those have passed now but I'm still quick to tire, slow to recover and my heart is much weaker as well. As a result of those, whenever my heart feels like it can't keep up, my body decides to shut down to protect it. I can control it a little, as you may have noticed, but I can't hold it off forever." Sin spoke with much the same tone of voice as before but there was a hint of something more in it, irritation maybe, anger possibly, but it didn't show on his face.
Before he could explain anything else or ask something from his end, an airman ran up to them and stopped in front of them, quickly saluting towards Atashi before turning to Sintih. "Mr. Rathaan, Captain Burhan has requested your presence at her tent. Immediately." While the young man stressed the last word as if it was an order, Sin was fairly sure that he was simply relaying the message as it had been given to him. He nodded to the airman before turning to Atashi, stopping their walk so he could properly speak to the man. "You'll have to excuse me. It seems my free time for this trial is up. Once we break up camp and head out to Oakleigh, perhaps you'd like to ride with us for the trial? I'd have no problem answering any other questions you might have then."
Sin reached out his hand to shake that of the Ithecal and if he did he'd grab the man's forearm like he'd seen some of the more muscular knights do. While his grip was weaker than most and his forearm, even in its leather armor, was barely the size of Atashi's, Sin was sure the gesture would be appreciated as what it was. A sign of respect and, possibly even, friendship. Once done, Sin turned back to the airman who promptly guided Sin towards where Elyna was waiting for him. He hoped that she hadn't hear of his recent clash yet and if she had that she'd be on his side again for this one. Whatever the reason, Father, please don't let it be more cleaning of bridles and saddles.
