His vision was blurred by the tears but he could see what happened, Faith had been trapped in some strange metal holding device. He rubbed his eyes removing the excess water as he looked over at her. She seemed uncomfortable, and he suddenly felt it was all his fault. He felt that he had caused her pain, pain she did not deserve. She had, in a not clear way from his reaction, for all intents and purposes helped him. She had in many ways released him from a cage that he had been keeping himself in. For that he was thankful, and his sanity had returned.
Something strange began to happen, Ti began to feel like he was floating like everything below him had gone. He looked to Faith who spoke of there similarities, both had been slaves her to a master and him to his obsession with freedom. She spoke of lessons learnt and a life he had lived as best he could. He had done all he could and he should not regret his life, he had chances more than many and his freedom was something a slave might kill for. He realised this and he looked to the chained up Faith again the image a sorry sight. He tried to stand struggling with the feeling of weightlessness, his legs sliding and his muscles struggling to respond. He stumbled to his feet moving towards the woman before him.
She was reaching out to him and had requested he undo the strange rings around her wrists and ankles. He wanted to free her as he stepped forward but she seemed to move away. He stepped again yet he got no closer to his target. Again his foot slammed through the nothingness bellow him as he reached out towards her hand. He pushed again, running towards the ever moving target, it was like it was running away from him. Everything around him had began to fade as he kept reaching and running. For a brief moment she stopped and he made ground his hand moving inches before hers. "I am sorry, you have done more than you know, you have freed me!" He said to her with a thankful smile, his whole body trying to reach her, to free her and show her the truth that he did not hate her, he was not angry, he was free.
He felt his finger brush with hers ever so briefly as he fell. Everything gave way beneath him and the world around him fell away into darkness as he flew through nothingness whirling and spiraling through the void until he stopped dead on a forest floor all too familiar and real as he returned to his body and the waking world his mind lingering on the chains he had to remove.
