Tunawa and magic.

When Tunawa were released, magic had the older system and while I was a little sad that the new race couldn't do magic, it made sense at the time. Tunawa were tiny so they couldn't hold many conduits and since Tunawa are harder to hit and even harder to kill, I could understand why they couldn't go around blasting people with magic all willy nilly.

Now there is stuff like Alchemy, which falls into the magic category but doesn't require the user to have magical abilities of their own. From what I've read it mostly just takes a knowledge of chemistry and an understanding of magical reactions. If Tunawa can't learn this form of magic it implies that they just can't process that knowledge. If Ymiden was against magic I can see him maybe devising some way of keeping Tunawa ignorant on the subject but he seems pretty neutral about it. Tunawa wouldn't have an easy time with this magic given their size and typical lifestyle but I personally feel it should be a challenge players (at the moment I think I'm the only active one >__>) should be able to take.

I'm not totally sure on Attunement since it hasn't been released but according to the second paragraph under the difference between Dominion magic and magical practices it says.
"Attunement is the gift of Knowledge and grows out of an awareness exceeding a natural mortal's grasp on the world. Mages and Marked already have unique perception by dint of their brush with the divine and can independently develop Attunement. No one knows why this form of magic neither causes corruption nor requires teaching in order to develop. The only truth is that only the divine marked and mages can access this magic and its mastery does not corrupt or mutate, only informs and reveals."
Since Tunawa can receive marks, I believe they should be able to understand the nature of the marks they may or may not receive.

I can still see a Tunawa being restricted from any magic that requires a spark, since they're still hard to kill but it would be nice if Niv could put all the stuff growing out of her head to good use.

These two suggestions probably apply to Ithecal too, their spirituality blocks them from accepting certain sparks but Alchemy doesn't require a spark.

Tunawa and magic.

Tunawa should be capable of learning Alchemy and Ensorcellement, no problem.

Let me work on Attunement and get back to you :)
