A timeshare kitchen?
NPC Details
Angela is an antagonist from here that I have been approved to use by Peg in the tracker for this cooking competition.
Furthermore, as a result of this thread, Angela is now staying with Winston during the competition.

"Angela, dis es Chest. Chest, dis es Angela. 'er es gonna be staying wid us far a little while, ef dat's OK wid yuh?" Chest bobbed over to Angela, reflecting Winston's own fondness for the girl and nudged her a few times before settling down beside her, as if some kind of approval had been reached. Angela however, stood rather still, not moving her feet onto the spots they had been planted in when she first saw the strange construct. She lifted an arm as Chest nudged her side. She looked at Winston, her expression a mix of concern and wonder. Seeing the relaxed joyful expression on her friend's face reasured her somewhat and when Chest settled down, she relaxed further still. "Um ... Hello. It's nice to meet you?" She said to Chest, with a glance at Winston, who nodded encouragingly. "You live in THERE?" She asked, rather uncertainly. Winston nodded as Chest opened it's lid. "'im want you tuh come in." Explained Winston. He usually greatly enjoyed watching people meet and explore chest, but on this occasion, he had to admit to some considerable trepidation at this particular introduction. This was not a mere 'visitor', but an actual guest and, dare he admit it, someone he had already grown quite fond of. He was eager to help the poor girl, that had already very clearly had such a traumatic life, begin to feel safe and secure and doing that inside a magical chest full of infinite possibility.
Angela's expression turned back to surprise. "IN? IN to the chest?" Chest shut its lid gently, giving off a gentle creaking sound. "Hehe. Et's OK Angela. Him is very friendly an' et's TOTALLY safe. Take a look, only ef yuh want tuh. Et's much bigga on de inside." He explained as if that was likely to make a person feel better about getting into the mouth of a magical box. "An' 'e does nat like et wen yuh call 'im 'a chest'. Dem's name es 'Chest'." Winston whispered. He had to admit to being quite pleased with Chest's behaviour. The two of them had grown closer and closer over the passing seasons since they met and Chest was being a good friend to him right now as they helped him treasure their new companion.
Angela turned back to the Chest and gingerly held out her hand to open the chest again. "I'm ... I'm sorry. That was unkind of me, Chest. I would love to go inside if that is OK? " Chest opened again, revealing the well-like visage inside. Beaming with wonder, the uncertainty not entirely gone, but well on its way out, she leaned over the opening. The unmistakable smell of baking emanated from the opening. She could tell it was not recent, but the aroma of baked goods, resting. "MMmmmmmm ..."
He jumped up onto the edge of Chest and then dropped into it. Angela watched in surprise as the fluffy Cadouri dropped into the chest and appeared inside, standing on the side of the well, waving at her to follow. "C'mon en! Et really es OK. Just drop en, et will sort the rest out far yuh."
With a bit of a gulp, Angela sat on the side of the chest and then dropped herself in. "AH!" She gave of a little gasp of alarm as she appeared on the other side, perfectly safe and standing in front of Winston again. Her face split into a broad grin. "Oh it's like a MAGICAL world!" She said, spinning around to see the exit leading back out to the sky above chest.
Winston hopped and then ran over to grab her hand. If she was not inclined to follow, there would have been no way the tiny ferret could drag her anywhere, but caught in wonder, she followed as he tugged on her index finger. "C'mon-C'mon! You're gonna LOVE the kitchen! Et's da best! Me 'ave everyting yuh need in dare, but de 'ole place es open tuh yuh."
The two of them bowled into the kitchen, with bread, cakes, moulded sugar in messy piles and little pies sitting around the place in various states of bake and cooling. The oven was dormant at the moment.
Angela looked around the room in amazement. She had never before, outside of the competition itself, been invited to use a kitchen so lovely. The fact that most, if not all, of the equipment was of basic design, there was still an item for every occasion and more importantly, she wandered over to the rack of spices and dried ingredients and let out an awe-filled breath of wonder. "Where did you get THIS?" She said, picking up some dried cactus power. "Oh, me know a merchant en de market dat recognised me frame de competition. 'im game me a gud deal. Yuh can use some ef yuh like. Tunawa really likes et." She chuckled and then withdrew suddenly, as if having been caught stealing. "OH but I couldn't. This is YOUR kitchen. I could not possibly. It's not fair, you need to have your kitchen for your work." Winston shrugged, it was true, a cook's kitchen was their sanctuary, but he was more than happy to take turns ...
Wisnton was about to explain exactly that when a door swung open. To say he was certain there was no door there before was an understatement. He knew every single inch of the kitchen intimately. There was a 'creeeeeeeek' sound as it then stopped ajar. The two of them looked at the door and Winston gave off a thoughtful "Hmmm ... Me tink Chest wants us to go in dare." The girl looked confused, only just realising that the ferret didn't seem to know what was in a room of his own home. "What's in there?" She asked, suddenly a little nervous again. He giggled. "Me 'ave noh idea. Et wus nat dare dis marning." Angela's eyebrows claimed up her forehead. "Don't worry, dat 'appen some times. C'mon! Let's goh see." Winston's complete lack of concern was contagious and so she followed as they went over to the door to find a circular staircase leading up into a hitherto undiscovered country. Winston scuttled up the inner circles, which was made of much smaller, ferret-size steps and angela made her way up behind him, a little slower and more cautious, using the large outer spiral of steps.
She was neither brave enough to be by his side, or so far behind him that she was 'left behind' and so as Winston entered to room upstairs and she heard him give out a little "OOoooohhhhh! Af carse. Aw tanks Chest, dis is perfect!" She pushed the door open all the way and saw a smaller, empty kitchen. There was a sink, a very basic oven, a table and and some stools. She stepped into the room. There was another door, wide open, on the other side of the kitchen that lead to a second room. Winston beamed at her. "Dis es yuh kitchen!" Angela echod the sentiment. "'This is MY kitchen?" He nodded and wandered through it to the other door. "Sorry et's gat no utensils yet, but we cun sart dat out and we will make share yuh 'ave all the ingredients yuh need an' ... OH! ..." He peaked into the other room to find a simple bed, table, chair and a wardrobe with chest of draws. "... Yeeeeeeah. Dis es your bedroom." He smiled, as if it was all perfectly normal, if still quite delightful. He paused, Angela was crying, her face wet with tears. "MY kitchen?" She repeated under her breath. "... Oh, me sarry we cun ..." It was all too much. Too much to take in and not let it all out at the same time. The girl ran over to the tiny ferret and lifted him up in a hug. The second breath-restricting hug they had shared in the short time they had known each other. Her words came in broken sobs of joy and emotion. "Thank ... You ... I ... Don't ... Know ... what ... to ... say ... THANK ... YOU ..." She sobbed.
Winston just hugged her back, until she felt able to leg him go, doing his best to return the embrace as long as his little arms could manage. He might well be considerably older than the young human, but he was also a LOT smaller.
The two of them sat and Angela gathered herself, looking from the doorway between the two rooms at each of them. both had a door, leading to a circular stairwell so that she could leave from her bedroom or her kitchen to the downstairs hallway. Every time she thought of it, of the fact it was hers to use, she felt emotion threaten to choke her up again and so she stood up. "Looks like we need to get some things sorted then?" She asked, eventually. "First things first!" She explained and she ran over to the stairwell by the kitchen and hugged the central pillar. "THANK YOU CHEST! YOU ARE AMAZING!" She shouted at the top of her lungs.
Winston cringed a little and smiled kindly. "Me tink 'im cun 'ere yuh ef yuh don't shout." Angela shrugged. "That needed to be said very loudly." She explained. "Oh, fair enough. We should get yuh ..." He was about to say 'settled in', but managed to divert the sentiment at the last minute. Angela had everything she owned in the pockets of the clothes she was waring and was currently an emotional train wreck. "... some tings far dis 'ere kitchen"
