In the midst of the lapse of the All-Tavern's Tournament, Parlance decides to cheer himself up with a new boat, setting himself back in terms of wealth, but setting up what was sure to be a fruitful pilgrimage. He'd only just graduated to the Priesthood, and had chosen his path. Now it was time to take on a partner among the Lightning Knights, to accompany him and be his left-hand man. There was a sense of turning a page on one chapter of his life,to open up on another. He didn't quite know where their pilgrimage would find them, but the unknown only excited him more. He would have to make sure they were well stocked for wine, and his ship, 'Ilaren's Bender' would carry that wine, a vessel carrying vessels.

It would be glorious.

Parlance went down to the Rharne Docks, and there he found his ship newly built, ready to be dedicated. However, there was one small wrinkle in this process. What kind of wine would be suitable to such a auspicious occasion? Surely only the best would do for a vessel named in Ilaren's honor. And so Parlance foun dhimslef stretched even more in terms of his finances, as he brought along a bottle of the best Starlight wine. It was pricey, yet no other wines seemed as suited as 'Starlight' to the dedication of a boat.

He only regretted that he wouldn't have a chance to sample such a fine vintage himself! However, he supposed sacrifice was an important aspect of devotion, and so stood at the prow of his ship, as he waited for his assigned Lightning Knight to come meet him. He wanted his new partner to be a part of this process.
