Come, Ye Ruled by the Fist
After the events of the All-Tavern's Tournament became commonly whispered and discussed, there were murmurs of fear and anxiety within Rharne. While it couldn't be helped as the city had almost seen a large-scale attack, there was much to give thanks for in its wake. Namely the heroes who stood to defend Rharne. With some celebrating this and others celebrating the capture of the Witch Doctor, more dissent and anxiety would spread.
Would the main source of the attack of the tournament retaliate? Would the shadow quarter for the loss of one of its high functioning members? Soon enough there were enough murmurs to the Knights. In an effort to honor the heroes as well as display that the city was indeed still fully capable of protecting itself, the knights announced a new partnership tournament to be held in for Zi'da in a way to cleanse the events of trials past. With all manner of Tavern's eager to get their hands on fresh talent for a sponsorship, or even crown a champion or two, the All-Tavern's Championship Tournament was organized.
Fliers were posed at each guard post in the quarter, and word got to the dust quarter just as easily. Thus, it was advertised that the three top placers would have a chance at their desired sponsorship and champion title, or be made to haggle with the Tavern owner of their choice for a spot. The Tournament will be held at the Lighting Dome, and brawlers of all walks of life are welcomed to try their hand for a title or the chance at one.
Food (concessions) will be provided in part by the taverns participating. Healing and other supports will be available from the Order of the Adunih and Thunder Priesthood.
For those who desire additional challenges, there will be also be a handicap mechanic. The handicap is completely optional, meaning you can opt out if you choose: Be aware that certain handicaps may make you uncomfortable. If this bothers you be sure to opt out.
But wait, what's a tournament without a rowdy crowd? You'll be allowed to sign up either as a brawler or a spectator, of which is your choice to make. What a spectator entails is completely dependent on you PC. Do they watch the matches? Take bets? Help hand out concessions? Run messages for their bookies?
Each fight will have 5 days between GST/Mod posts. Missing a round will result in you being disqualified for brawlers, so try your best! There may also be goodies in it even for those who don't place in the top three, a tavern notice? A few tokens? Who knows.
Bring your A game or be cleaned out! There will be a randomized tournament bracket, and a Last Man Standing challenge to close out the tournament. Ilaren's Decree will also be in affect during this tournament, effectively nullifying magic/marks/spirts/ anything that doesn't come attached to your fists.
Sign ups will remain open until October 15th.
