[Queen's Gambit] Terms and Conditions

4th Ymiden, Arc 722 - 9th Bell, Early Trial
The weather around Rharne was beginning to warm up - the skies cleared, the fog dissipated, and the cool weather fled to make way for the first sun's arrival. Cloudless days made for warm, bright trials - trials like the current one. Rozkia scowled as the first sun's light assaulted her eyes. Moving her clawed hands to shield her face she continued her trek through the earth quarter with moderate difficulty as usual. She always got mixed up on a certain turn but it never much bothered her. She walked around for a bit - never quite accustomed to the route she took, it seemed - and finally her destination came into view. The Queen's Gambit was a decent tavern; good workers, nice drinks, clean establishment.

It was a little early in the trial as Rozkia tried to leave as soon a she could in order to make good time. She had no obligation to the place if she thought about it - her sponsorship hadn't been brought up in a while and she was beginning to think that she no longer had it. It wouldn't bother her too much as her reasons for accepting was... less desirable now than it had been. The naer was pleased that the lighting of the Queen's Gambit was a bit dim compare to the bright rays outside as he felt more comfortable in the darkness. All the light annoyed her to no end.

When she stepped through the tavern's doors Rozkia looked over the crowd of patrons with a critical gaze. Most if not all of these lesser were here to drink and get drunk. As she walked past the bar in back, she guessed Rharne was growing on her in that regard. She had a hard time in the beginning knowing the city was filled to the brim the drunks and alcoholics of different natures. It grew on her in such a way she no longer scorned them for it, it was just part of the city they lived in. The naer herself wasn't against the odd drink on trials that suited her fancy and she never felt connected to them for it, thankfully.

When she was halfway out the back door leading to the Queen's Court she heard the click of heels directly behind her. She turned slowly, face blank as she took in the tall Eidisi with identical hair. She wore a slight frown - bright blue eyes scanning the Naerikk from head to toe - before she nodded and scribbled something on the clipboard she was carrying. Rozkia raised an eyebrow, waiting for the Eidisi to speak.

"Ah, you're... the new sponsorship, yes? Excellent. I was hoping to speak to you regarding that bit. With me, please," the Eidisi beckoned, giving no room for Rozkia to refuse or speak until the naer trailed behind her. "Right, so. I'm Flavia, Missy neglected to introduce me, I'm sure. I deal with the money side of the business as well as our contracts and terms for our sponsorships." The newly named Eidisi unlocked the basement door and then took a right to a small looking room that seemed to be an office. "Which is why your here, because Missy also seemed to not have told you how you retain your sponsorship which is why I'm dragging you down here." Flavia said, brows pinched like she had tasted something foul.

The eidisi gestured to a chair in front of the desk before sitting in the one behind it. Rozkia took in as much as she could handle of the bland room. There was all manner of cabinets stuffed with papers, a lot of them on the desk she was now seated in front of. The naer nodded along even if she hadn't listened too well. "So what are your terms, then?" The naer asked. She tried not to let on her disinterest.

"Well, firstly, you fought and won the Queen's Cup," Flavia grabbed a piece of paper ad looked it over with a hum, inclining her head in affirmation before continuing. "this arc. Congratulations, by the by." She shuffled the paper back into the mix, giving the naer no chance to respond before she moved along. "But we also need you to take part in a few title matches or scheduled matches. We get ranked along other taverns, you see. We need to find or champion soon. But currently the position is vacant because all our fighters our armed combatants." Flavia sighed as if the weight of Idolas was on her shoulders, but she elaborated further without prompting.

"To keep your sponsorship you need to compete in a tournament at least once every arc in addition to the seasonal title or scheduled match. You haven't had a seasonal match since your sponsorship, I believe. Normally I'd have no choice but to revoke your sponsorship, but since Missy neglected to mention all of this I'll let it slide. The question becomes this; are you still interested in your sponsorship?"

Your Review
Hello Rozika. This was an interesting thread, it is a pity that it wasn’t finished. I haven’t read much of Rozika stuff. But she sounds like a fun pc. I would be interesting to see her on the fighting circuit in Rharne Since this thread didn’t reach or was close to the 1500 word limit and the thread itself just cuts off I won’t be able to award XP. Thank you for the Read. Fate.
