Major Update Q&A
Silly question!
Originally Elyna's RB was split between unarmed and navigation - human/biqaj. Can I still split the RB?

You can't split your new RB, but you do keep your old RB.

Major Update Q&A
So I haven't got a chance to look into things but just a few things which I have found so I'll give some comment for consideration.
Humans starting skills:
When the changes had been released humans had a free +25 and similarly a free fast track skill they can choose at their discretion. A few hours after that it has been changed to a +25 in leadership and from what we have been told, the reason was because it was deemed as unfair.
As a person who mains an Aukari (I have a human but I hardly play him or want to anyway so don't think I have an ulterior motive here) I don't really think that humans being allowed to put their +25 into anything they want is unfair in anyway and the way I see it, the sentiments of them being able to do is is unfair would be more of salt from the nonhuman race players who feel like they shouldn't be the only ones restricted into one skill they can't get out of. This may seem accusatory but bear with me here.
There is a tradeoff between picking a human and a nonhuman and that is humans do not have any racial abilities to speak of and these racial abilities also normally don't seem to be affected by skills. Now while the site is still in its early stages, sure it seems like the humans have a "better start" because they won't be "wasting" their +25 on a skill they won't use but that is what it is. A better start. In the long term skill point differences start to not matter because everyone is going to be able to allocate them to what they want and that +25 (which can easily be achieved in a minimum of two threads since it only applies to the first 25 points of a skill) is going to be nothing more than a drop in the sea.
Humans can't live underwater. Humans can't make poisons in their bodies. Humans can't survive in extreme temperatures. Humans can't transform themselves into whatever is suited for their purposes at the time. This is to name a few of the noteworthy benefits that humans (and more importantly human players) are doing without for choosing that race compared to other nonhumans who have "set skills" to start with. In contrast a +25, even a free +25 is a poor buy in. In fact if it had stayed the same I would dare say it is unfair for humans to only get a +25 to one skill of their choice in comparison to the other benefits the other races receive (even if it remains as a +25, it should have much more of an impact than all the other races standardized across the board)
Tl dr: because the current focus of the changes is on skills people are looking at it from a skills perspective, that it unfair for humans to get +25 in whatever they want but we are to look at the bigger picture and compare it all, it is a suitable bonus for humans who aren't really getting anything special out of their race. Other than humans being able to be found all over Idalos that is.
Proposal: Bring back the free floating +25 for humans. Instead to make it seem less OP limit it to non magic skills much like the FT limitation. I think that would be a lot more fair since magic in a sense exists as a DLC to the core game as is.
Aukari starting skills:
Yup here is my ulterior motive if there is any. I was quite interested when I heard from Kingdom's teaser the previous day that the Aukari can get meditation as a fast track skill but now when the changes were made official it turns out as the +25 instead (which if I am not mistaken the +25 which was teased was going to be acrobatics) I mean from the racial perspective where they are always trying to control themselves from erupting wouldn't it be more suitable for Aukari to be able to choose meditation as a fast track skill for those who really want to work towards not dying from spontaneous combustion?
Fast Track skills in general:
This is a question rather than a comment for consideration because I guess if the PC survives long enough it would be important. When we eventually max out our fast track skill, do we have the option of working on our second fast track racial skill? Or are we SOL and pretty much stuck without a focused skill? Perhaps just let all races have both the fast track skills instead of having to choose between then since those are supposed to be their specialties/what they are created for by the Immortals anyway?

Major Update Q&A
More silly questions from me...
So any skills we currently have are 'grandfathered'
I'll update my cs table in a bit - however for example Ely has 40 points in blade. Do I remain an expert in blades and I'll add the equivalent points it would have taken from the 251, or would you like me to use those 40 points to buy the skill points? I take the first 25 and use the remaining 15 in the next bracket? 2/1 ratio?
Thanks for help in advance!

Major Update Q&A
The reason Human perk was changed is because we discovered a loophole, quickly filled that in and covered our tracks like the boss-dogs we are! Ha! But in giving leadership, humans automatically get a nice bonus for running a business which no other race gets. Also their fast track skill is anything except magic, so they still have a very nice advantage over everyone else.Nauta F'mos Geey wrote:Humans starting skills:

As I said yesterday "subject to change" and "staff are still debating things".
And to answer your question, no, when you finish your first fast track, you don't move onto the next one. You get one or the other.

So if your skill is 40 in blades (thats comp not ex btw), it would look like this:
Blades: Longsword 40/100 (55/251) Competent

Major Update Q&A
Ok - apologies for the daft question.
Do we have to take the racial bonus skill? I just can't see how Faith might be competent in leadership, when I think about her background etc - I don't see how someone who has been a slave from birth would get that skill as higher than any of her others.
So, suggestion - for slaves who have been raised from birth as slaves - could they have a 'slave from birth' bonus skill - rather than a racial one? I ask because it makes sense to me that their slave status is, in the slave pens of Athart, for example, probably more impactful than their race. My suggestion for that skill would be maybe endurance - but just a thought.

Also - sorry for the stupid question, but back again.
As a slave, rather than an increase in salary when I consistently complete job threads, will there be a corresponding increase in the slave's value, for example?
Sorry - really, I know these are very specific questions about slavery which is a unique situation. These changes are awesome and I'm sorry to ask pain in the beeeehind question. X

For fast track skills, do you put the actual points spent in the x/251 column, or do you put the number it would take if it wasn't fast tracked?
