The Maw of Faldrun

To the outside world, Sirothelle and the aukari do not appear to be in any way civilised. To anyone visiting the city, however, they will see a unified race beyond anything expected. Given the relatively high wealth of this city (with large exports and limited in-city spending), there is much money to spare.
Wealth kept in the citys coffers is both public and private. The Zatkai and Council keep all of the city’s funds within the coffers, which makes up about 40% of the coin stored. Unspent, the coin is constantly growing, ready for times of need, if Faldrun ever calls upon his loyal aukari to serve him more openly, such as in battle. Currently, the public funds are mostly used to support members of the Aukari Occult as they traverse Idalos on their assignments to other cities and nations. The rest of the money (approximately 60%) is the wealth of the private citizens in Sirothelle. A large proportion of it belongs to only a handful of wealthy individuals, but any citizens are welcome to use the facility, even to store a single gold nel.
The Maw of Faldrun also houses the city mint, using the heat from the Heart of the World to guild perfect coins used across all of Idalos. The whole facility remains under heavy guard by the City Guard. Anyone suspected of entering the facility with negative intentions will be killed on site, and questions asked after. In this case, it is definitely guilty until proven innocent but, without a trial, it will be too late for the individual in question. It is therefore advised that anyone even walking close to the building is careful about their appearance and bearing, lest they be judged as guilty.
