This was exceptionally detailed on both of your parts, and I came out of it feeling almost as much of a fish out of water as Carver and Laures himself must feel. There's so much unfamiliarity around them, and yet they find something to cling to in each other. The narrative is rich with emotion, feeling and character.
I really do enjoy the fish out of water trope, especially for beginning characters. I look forward to seeing more of Laures and Carver's exploits as they learn their way around Idalos!
I'm glad you determined what kind of consequence you get for being out in the cold with no clothes, in the beginning fo Cylus! Maybe as you work out your endurance or resistance, you'll be more capable of suffering the extreme temperatures, but for now that's a suitable consequence.
