Within the city of Viden is the Central Garrison. Like the rest of the city, the building they live in is just as intimidating. One of the tallest buildings, the headquarters is not only where citizens can come to complain about crimes, but it also houses the members. There are five obtainable levels that members can reach through their career with the garrison. Each level has their own floor with bedrooms. The main floor of the building is a hive of busy people moving around. To an outsider it looks like utter chaos with new members getting their jobs for the day. There is a large circular desk that has enough room for four overseers to stand behind it. It is clear that three of the overseers hand out all the assignments and patrols to the other members that are leaving for the day. One overseer deals directly with the public, her name is Ophelia. Instead of having his office on the top floor, the commander of the garrison finds it easier to meet with the overseers for the day and to meet with a citizen that has a problem.

The ground level floor has the desk in the center, the commanders office, an armor room, and a weapons room. Both the armory and the weapon room are guarded by two highly trusted overseers. There is one overseer that will take in a new member if they need a weapon to find what they need along with leather armor to begin with. The second floor is where the Cricates live at with up to four members sharing a room. There are two bunk beds in the room. Members are not expected to have much at first. So each person in the room is given use of one chest that is located at the end of the bunk beds. As members go up the ranks they move up to the next floor with other Dyxious. At the second level the rooms get less crowded, there are only three people in the room. This gives each their own bed with another chest to use. If a person has managed to buy their own weapon, there is a place beside the bed for it to be stored.

The third level of members are paired two to a room. By this point in the ranks, members are partnered off with the person they will do all their jobs with. In the room there is a desk for both members to share, an armor area, a safe place for weapons, and a chest at the end of the bed. Wealys members are the highest level members that are housed at the headquarters. These members are given their own room to use. The room has one desk, a single bed, an armor dummy, weapon storage, a chest at the end of the bed. If a member were to get a pet there would be a place prepared for it as well. The garrison does not allow what they call "personal" pets. Any pets bought are to be trained to help with jobs when necessary. The overseers are helped to find a home outside of the headquarters. It helps to keep new members a place to stay when they join. The commander actually sleeps on the highest floor in the building so that he can be reached at all hours.

Cricates

This is the entry level for the military of Viden. Basic training is given to new members in many skills they need to advance. They are as follows unarmed combat, weapons training, detection, animal training, and mounts. The new members are paired off from the beginning with both an older member and a member at their current level. It is used as a way to teach responsibility and teamwork. Along with training the members are taken on patrols around the city.

Dyxious

Upon making it to the second level of the garrison, members are given more responsibilities. The first big place they patrol is actually the conservatories, not just one but both. When not there, the members are helping traders that come in from other cities in the area. They will also accompany hunters and foragers when absolutely necessary. The members at this level are given new members to help learn the ropes so that they begin learning leadership.

- Competent in one weapon skill(player choice)
- Competent in one other skill

Zoquax

The third level is the Zoquax. They are given even more responsibility. The members of that level help watch the members under them. The Zoquax is mainly over the grain storage facility. Due to its location the members are expected to have at least a competent animal training skill. The members can be called out at any time to go help move some out during harvesting cycle. They can also randomly be called to patrol the area to make sure no animals or people get into the facility.

Wealys

At the fourth level within the garrison is the Wealys members. These members are known for their efficient weapon use. The members at this level of commitment are sent to work at the salt storage area. It is very important that anyone who goes there is prepared to check for any kind of dampness inside. The storage facility is not set as far out as the grain storage. The Wealys members work hand in hand with the Zoquax who are sent to check the grain.

Overseers

This is the highest level a person can achieve. Overseers do exactly what their job title says. They make sure every level is doing the jobs assigned to them. When there is an issue they will take it to the commander of the garrison. He will make the final decision before having the overseers carry out his orders. They are known to be very decisive with their decision making. When push comes to shove, they will also go out on patrols to any areas the other members do.

Stephin is one of the first people to ever successfully complete the Champions Pass. He decided to show the other Eidisi in the city that they could be more. When he returned from the pass, the man could see the need for a military. So he went to Yvithia and requested permission to do just that. After seeing what all the champion had accomplished, the Immortal approved of his request. It took some time to get everything in place and rules established. But it did not take long for the citizens to see that they would be safe both inside and outside the city. He is a hard man to impress, but a loyal friend when it has been earned. Stephin has never turned any race away without seeing if they could truly give everything they had to prove themselves.
